This is a very thought provoking thread. On our 1/14 WDW trip, we definitely allowed hype to guide much of our scheduling. At times it was a letdown, but generally it was helpful to follow the hype. For example, we had an absolutely wonderful evening at BOG. Also, Sunshine Seasons and Flametree BBQ were much-hyped QS meals that did not at all disappoint. Certainly hype and crowd mentality can lead to decreasing quality. I understand people's frustration with Le Cellier. At the same time, hype can be a helpful guide when choosing from the huge variety of dining and entertainment options at WDW.
