The hype of attractions and restaurants

This is a very thought provoking thread. On our 1/14 WDW trip, we definitely allowed hype to guide much of our scheduling. At times it was a letdown, but generally it was helpful to follow the hype. For example, we had an absolutely wonderful evening at BOG. Also, Sunshine Seasons and Flametree BBQ were much-hyped QS meals that did not at all disappoint. Certainly hype and crowd mentality can lead to decreasing quality. I understand people's frustration with Le Cellier. At the same time, hype can be a helpful guide when choosing from the huge variety of dining and entertainment options at WDW.

For me it went down when they went to the All day Dinner menu.....
Definitely. Heck, why offer a reasonably priced luncheon menu when you can force dinner (albeit a lower quality dinner than previously offered) on people at 11 AM in the morning, and charge the ludicrous dinner prices, all day long, when people will be fighting to get in the door? $$$$ :sad2:

My boyfriend and I had lunch at Le Cellier in June. Our bill? $235. Of course, we had our share of cocktails...:thumbsup2
