The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

I was first stunned that he didn't get polish over anything but his hands! And secondly, I noticed he did pretty well! I was messier than that the first time I put it on at age 8! :rotfl2:

I didn't take it off yet. He was so pleased with it!!! It was kinda cute. :rotfl:

But do you think I should remove it before school tomorrow? It's bright red!

Hey ya both :music:

Hmm... Probably. Maybe tell him to clear next time, and he can keep it. :lmao:

Thanksgiving discussions?

Too early, we haven't even tackled Halloween yet.

Not sure what will happen this year, E called his mom and she sounded down about the whole holiday scene. I guess with her kiddos flung far from her wings and no more house.. it is all overwhelming for her. She doesn't want to cook a thing.. but BIL offered to come from Michigan and do the meal.. not sure what that means for us???

Sis typically does her own (with her DS diet restrictions, need natural turkey with no additives) or she goesw to her inlaws.

And we DO NOT go to my parents house, they get us twice year if they are lucky :snooty: .. summer and week before Christmas. That's about all I can handle of my dad.... and all that I can handle to keep E away from my dad. :scared: Why ruin a good day of feasting by getting upset with the company involved. ;)

You can come on over to my house... I am thinking about staying home. ;) I know that it is just a short jaunt. :rotfl2:

As a preschool teacher.. they would not be surprised, or think ill of you, to see a boy in nail polish.

Preschoolers model after their heros.. you happen to be his hero . :goodvibes
I've had parents get very upset to see their boy doing dress up in ladies clothes or having a doll in the housekeeping corner. The wise teacher is careful to encourage such boys to be in the block corner at pick up time :rolleyes1 What the parents don't know won't hurt them, but letting a child work thru play is vitally important to development. Besides.. they look so darn CUTE! :goodvibes

Yeah, I'm sure an older kid might tease him terribly, but I'm not sure if fingernail polish is that big a deal with preschool boys? :confused3

Yep. Thats why we never bugged over Alex doing that stuff. When he wanted Princess pull ups, you bet my hubby bought them for him. He doesnt do it any more. Not really anyhow. He is still pining away for Mikalahs lip smackers... I let him have the Coca Cola one. ;)

oh sure, let me start walking now.. I might get there by say next year? :lmao:
All right! Ill be waiting!:lmao:

Im sure its not! I wouldnt think he would be around older kids at preschool... The other little kids will like it.

mmmm now I'm craving my pumpkin pudding. It's been a long while since I made it last, have to hunt up the recipe again. :yay:

I sometimes make it to bring to my sister's house, using rice milk instead. GFCF , low sugar, low fat and yum too!

yep, he will be envy of the 3 and 4's group..

Now if it was late spring time.. I would hesitate because the older pres get a little more sophisticated in their ideas of sex roles.
The line of "boy things" vs "girl things" is starting to be drawn.

It amazes me how the friendships change in the summer months leading up to start of kinder... the girls get wiggy and start zeroing in on liking small groups of other girls, to the exclusion of others. The boys start bossing aorund the younger, milder boys and avoid the girls all together.

It's interesting to see how they grow and change over one school year.

I am SO very hungry. Its a wonder I havent gained more then 5 pounds this last couple of weeks. :lmao:
