The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

Sounds enticing!

I have been reading along, just trying not to get sucked in so I get can some stuff done around the house. Unfortunately moving so many times in a small time frame left numerous boxes of pretty much junk. Seriously, why did I find a need to have boxes of junk mail, opened envelopes, and who knows what the heck else. Anyways, I am trying to organize my pantry so our winter stock will fit (I had to go to the valley yesterday, so we loaded up the car on a Costco run) our stores here suck so we have to buy elsewhere to get a good deal. I am also working on the outside before it snows :faint:

Oh the joys of changing seasons.

We downsized with each move. Now I go look for something only to realize, oh yeah. We got rid of it when we moved to..:rolleyes:

I then debate, replace or make do without it.

The lack of winter clothing is buggin me, we will make do for now. Layering with sweaters and lighter jackets as the need arises. But if it turns out to be a very cold winter, we might have problems! :scared:

I am sure not used to the changing seasons - at least I found the box of my favorite sweaters in our shed (thank goodness - my two favorite disney ones were in there) We downsized quite a bit too - our last house was obsessively large - so we sold and donated a bunch of stuff then. It is just the stupid boxes - the we don't have a real place to live, so I can't organize stuff - how it all survived this move I still don't know :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

It's really fun when you find a box with unpaid bills.. from months ago.

Yep, been there done that. :blush:
:lmao:

We made a vow to unpack every box this time round, umm we have ONE that I haven't opened .Tossed it up on the top closet shelf as the "mystery box" I'm pretty sure it's papers that we don't really need and photos.. odd ball stuff.

But yet, I'm missing a few things. I can't remember if I got rid of it or are we missing a box?? :confused:

We had one box grow legs and walk away when moving in. It had some older games, books and one of the game boys in it.. POOF gone. My BIL was helping with moving, not watching the truck too closely. Some guy started helping him.. we think he "helped himself" as payment.

I think I will mosey to Target, my sis called and said there were blenders on clearance.. still debating replace ? or do without? But margaritas taste so darn yummy with a blender hmmmmmm ;)

That sucks. We also made that vow - but alas with me and DH each working 40+ hours/week, it never happened. We promised to be good - but failed. I am trying to go through as much as I can now. I had a DR appt yesterday, and hoping they could do what I wanted them too I took today and tomorrow off - but sadly I will have to go back in a couple of weeks - not that I am complaining to get the 3 days off in row :laughing:

I miss my Target :sad1:

Hello Hyenas,

I am on break and it's quite busy today. I am eating candy corn and I have a dentist appointment tomorrow. Lovely! :rotfl:

Afternoon, gals!! I went to the Dr, today... SO much fun. Actually, it was a fairly short appt, for once. I have gained 5 pounds... Which doesnt bother me a bit! Considering I am still down over all about 7 pounds still.. and I am already 17 weeks along with twins.

She did the belly measurement, and I am measuring 27 weeks. :lmao: You KNOW its bad when the dr. comments on how big you are!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: She said there is a noticeable difference from the last apt. Anyhow.. Bp is great for big ole fat pregnant lady, my weight is good... The babies ROCK! They are getting so big.

Most exciting.. Baby A is head down, Baby B is head up. She said as long as they stay that way.. I can have a vag. delivery!!!!:cool1: :cool1: So they need to STAY where they are. To much longer, and they wont have enough room to move. AND they are both the same size now.. Baby B was about a week smaller, but has quickly caught up with the other.

2 weeks, and I get the BIG ultra sound!!! I cant wait to find out what we are having!!!!! I guess 2 boys. (hoping)

I picked DS4 up from preschool today, and after his minor delay tactics, got him down for nap fairly easily. He was playing his fishies and not going to sleep, unfortunately, and when he (and the fishies) tried to escape down the hall, I nabbed him, took the fishies away, and sent him back to bed.

After a bit I went downstairs to make some lunch, then settled in to watch a bit of TV before we needed to go get DS8. Time flew, and so I went back upstairs to wake DS4. I thought it odd when, halfway up the stairs, I heard running water...

I ran the rest of the way, BOOMed through the closed door, and startled DS4, who was:

a) Stripped naked, except for a very full pull-up;
b) Sitting on the edge of the bathroom sink;
c) With his feet under the running water;
d) With a very wet, half-open jar of nice shea butter body lotion next to him;
e) a wadded up hand towel on the other side;
f) While he was painting his fingernails fire engine red.

"Hi, Mama! My fingers are so pretty!" :teeth:

Grrrrrrrrrr... It's a good thing he's cute! :mad:

On the plus side:

a) The carpet wasn't wet;
b) The body lotion was fine;
c) The fingernail polish bottle is a little gummed up, but thank goodness didn't get all over! :faint:

That was a cut & paste of an email I sent to DH this afternoon. Oyyyy...

Now he's nearly home, and we've got to dash off to swim classes/soccer practice.

See ya!

Think of it this way, he's very skilled at multi tasking. :thumbsup2
