The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

She's not clear and doesn't know how to train people. :confused3

ahhhh, I see.. Getting proper training is so important.. especially in a health care setting.

I've had jobs where I knew I wasn't putting my best effort into it.. crappy management (so why bother) or poor training (too much all at once, confusing).

I stuck it out for he poor management one.. because I thought I coud make a difference-- it was just okay.. But I think it screwed me for working in that field again.. learned bad habits.

But the poor training-- dropped that job after two shifts.. I knew I could not hack it with what I was getting.

Okay, I'm falling over here-- very tired. Tired enough that I should sleep better than night before. I couldn't settle into a good spot last night.. turning round and round like a dog does before laying down.

Night Pixie!

I need to sleep too! Goodnight Bernice!

DD is 15 today!!!!!!!!!!! She ask when she can DATE:scared1: :scared1: and she is mad because she was told 16...what a way to start her birthday...mad at mom...on the up ... she is happy that she is getting picked up early from school......

Good morning, hyenas!
It's overcast, but a little brighter than normal, so the clouds can't be too thick. :)

I just got off the phone with my mom. We're planning a big birthday bash at my house for Saturday, celebrating the birthdays of my niece (9) and nephew (11) and me (not tellin'). :rotfl:

My brother will be there with his kids (the birthday babes), and my parents and sister; we're hoping my other brother will also be there, along with his fiancee and baby. They just arrived in town yesterday, so may be suffering from jet lag/time change, we're not sure if they'll make it. They are stopping by my parents' house today to meet my mom, and she's a bit nervous. ;)

DH is feeling much better today, and went back to the office. I'm hoping he takes it easy a bit and doesn't work late; he's probably going to be a bit tired this evening.

My mom also gave me some good gift ideas for my nephew, so I think I'll head to Target after I pick up the munchkin. Hopefully we'll find some fun things for DN11. The kids are so excited to see their cousins again, so I hope the weather is decent (aka "not raining") and they can play outside a bit.

Good Morning Hyenas,

Alison- I'm sorry about your DD. I wish her a speedy recovery

Gina- when I was in 5th or 6th grade I wanted to date but was not allowed to. I think it's good to wait until one is a bit more mature (age 16 sounds about right). :) Don't feel bad, she won't stay mad at you forever and it will pass. :grouphug: I hope she has a great birthday. :)

During my morning break I headed over to Trader Joe's. They have pumpkins out front which made me think of Bernice. :lmao:
They have this cute pack with half a PB&J sandwich, string cheese, a small bottled water, a napkin, small zip lock bag of sliced apples and a small bag of chocolate graham toucan cookies, all for $3! They also had one with half a turkey sandwich. I got a turkey and basil mayo sandwich and some enchiladas to bring home later. They also sell pumpkin butter (looks like peanut butter) but I didn't buy it. They have a cute sign out front that shows a pumpkin painted as a pirate and it asks if you can find him in the store. :lmao:

Did I mention I love fall? I just wish the weather felt like autumn too. :(

DH about lost his mind when I told him...he thinks at 16 it should be doubles..:lmao:

ANYHOOO.....I got a letter from my mom in the mail yesterday, with a bunch of gift cards in it. :confused3 Early Christmas presents??? No... she said just because. Okay... We are thinking about sending them to my sister. I think she wanted to help out my sister... but she is big on making things even, so had to send us something too.

I have been a shopping fool yesterday and today. We went out to eat last night... I took the kids out for Greek. YUM. We get this big combo plate with tons of food, and we all share it. Im glad my kids are adventurous little eaters. Well.. Alex is anyhow. :lmao: Mikalah prefers French fries. :rotfl2: I asked them if they had any ideas about what they wanted to be for Halloween.. Alex had been going back and forth between Anikin Skywalker from the Clone Wars cartoon movie that came out over the summer. My mom took all the kids to see it when we went to Reno. AND... the Rhino Ranger from the new Power Rangers Jungle Fury show.. We have been dealing with this indecision for about 2 weeks now!:lmao: :lmao: He settled on the Rhino Ranger.

Then I asked the girl. She looked up at me and said.. Princess Jasmin. :confused3 REALLY???? Okay. I dont know WHY she picked her. We have only seen Aladdin once or twice. But thats what she wanted. Until we got to Target. Then we went through about 20 different costumes. Do you know what she settled on??? Oddly enough.. Princess Jasmin. :confused3 Very odd. Oh well. Now I am on a mission to find something warm she can wear underneath.

OH!!! Guess what??? We have been looking for a Star Wars PSP for the boy for Christmas. They came out for last Christmas, so if you want to buy one now... you have to buy one used. Not an easy feat. We went to Gamestop today, and they had 4!!!! :cool1: :cool1: So we got Alex his PSP for Christmas!!!! Now we just need to get the stuff for it, a couple of games... some movies, and hubby wants to buy him a nerf gun. Then we are DONE. With him. :lmao: I dont think we have ever spent so much money on him for Christmas before. That dang PSP was $170!!! I kept asking hubby if he was SURE thats what he wanted to get him.. He said yes. OKAY.

I LOVE getting gift cards....but on the other hand I love getting gifts....who am I kidding...I just like getting stuff:lmao:

2 years ago I thought I had found everything DH had purchased for me for christmas...I loved it all...but he fooled me....He had gotten me something else and hid it...he was pretty crafty too...he put it in MY DRAWER....

and I snoopfor my gifts....:rotfl2: :thumbsup2 I can't help myself......

:scared1: :scared1: HOW HORRID!!!

So do I. :rolleyes1 :lmao: I even taught my son when he was like 2 where Grandma and Grandpa hid the presents. :lmao: I hate surprises.. and I am SO nosy. I always need to know what I am getting. I dont think I have been surprised since I got a Barbie house when I was 9. :lmao:
