The hours have changed. Should I be worried?

I noticed different sites posting the MK hours for 11/23 and 11/24 have changed from 9-9 to 9-11pm on the 23rd and from 9-10 to 9-11 on the 24th. Is there something going on that those days that they are expecting big crowds?

This usually means they are expecting larger crowds. It is the week of Thanksgiving so it should be pretty crowded.

I called 1-407-WDWINFO and the recording said the same thing. I

They are changed on all the CM information as well, as was stated above this usually means they are forecasting more guests than they originally thought and decided to keep the park open longer to accomodate

they have now changed it on the Disney Website. It is going to be crowded. I also saw on wdwig.com that there is a junior golf tournament that week. Maybe that is why they are expecting larger crowds?

Also I wanted to post to see my countdown clock

Why worry... if crowds are going to be a little higher are you going to change your trip plans... you will still be at Disney (and I won't be)...

I'm so envious! Wish my family could go when you're going. Don't worry--you'll have a great trip, crowds or not, if you just do some planning and get to the parks early each day, etc.

I'm glad to see Disney is trying to accommodate the expected crowds by extending the hours.

Have fun!

Thank you everyone,

I shouldn't worry but I'm not a crowd person. I know I will have a great time no matter what. I was just worried because we only have 3 days to see 4 parks. It was 20 years ago I was there and it might be another 20 (I hope not) before I go again. I want to see as much as possible. I would hate to miss anything. I know I will have to but it will break my heart.

I think I should take some solo trips soon because my family is not as excited as I am.

Well I have 2 weeks to go I should finish packing.

I really hate crowds too. We were planning on visiting the parks early in the week- the last day being Thanksgiving Day. I am truly bummed that they've extended hours in what can only be in anticipation of large crowds. Yuk.

Since we have a choice of either going on Sunday the 23rd or Monday the 24th, which day do you think would be the best day to go (as far as crowds)?

Any suggestions?

I don't know if we are typical, but we are going to MK on Sunday and then MGM on Monday.

kpgclark-

our itinerary is the SAME! We are only there for an long weekend Friday through Monday and I really hope it is not too packed.

Paula

Well I'm sure we're the ONLY ones... I'll wave to you as we pass on the empty streets.

of course the new hours have me now re-thinking my entire iteinerary! aaargggggghhhhhhhhh! such tough decisions:=)

You can really make yourself insane can't you? It just took me a couple of minutes to re-check our schedule which we are keeping pretty much the same. The crowds and headaches associated with crowds are what has me bugged. We've never toured during "on" season. I really dislike crowds and waiting. I'm trying to be really mellow about it though. Afterall there is nothing that you can do about it. (that's my rational side speaking)
