The Ho Ho Ho Here We Go Again Trip Report - Day 1

Thursday 18th November - Got up chased the kids out to school for a few hours and then finally started packing. DH took the dog out to the kennels while I finished packing. I then had a mad dash to Boots to pick up a prescription which hadn't been re ordered when I went to collect them on Tuesday. Then off to school to get the kids took them back home and got them changed and we were on our way!
Got to the airport & DH dropped the kids and me off at the terminal and we went and queued dropped our bag off as we had already checked in. We got straight through security and got something to eat - received a text from Ezyshuttle advising us who was picking us up and then we didn’t have long to wait before our flight was called. We landed in Paris early after an uneventful flight and Ezyshuttle were waiting. It took us about an hour to get to Disney as the traffic was quite heavy but the kids were engrossed in watching Ratatouille so didn't notice any delays. Arrived at Hotel New York and checked in - we must have been in one of the furthest away rooms you can get – right at the end of Gramercy Park one room from the end of the corridor but we could see Panoramagique and NPB from our window.

Then we went headed of to SQL to check DH & DS in there. I had sent an email requesting a room on the 7th floor for him and this is what he got but he was upgraded to a lake view from where we could see the castle! (Although he didn’t get why we were so excited about seeing the castle lit up!)
We were all hungry after this so we went to the village and queued for about 20mins for Annettes. Meal wasn't bad I had Philly cheese steak DH, DD2 and DS had hot dogs and DD1 had chicken nuggets. While we were there they had staff on roller skates and the music came on and they danced to Grease Lightening and another song that I can’t remember - DD1 and I got up and danced with the them! We headed back to HNY and DH and DS went to Sequoia after this and while the girls had a quick bath I unpacked and got stuff ready for tomorrow.

I love the view! looks like its not too high a floor. Sounds like you had a brilliant time can't wait to read more! We are heading to the HNY for our February trip - can't wait!

Great start - I must have missed this but I've just read your next 2 days. Was there a reason your DH and DS were booked into a different hotel? How did that work out for you all?

Trip was originally meant to be only the children and I but DD1 was diagnosed with epilipsey in October and I was just a bit worried about going on my own - was far too expensive to book DH a room in HNY so I booked him into SQL - and added DS (who is under 7 and free) to his booking - it worked out ok apart from DH's timekeeping!
