Anybody ever see this movie?? I am so scared, why oh why do I watch these kind of movies by myself? It doesn't make it any better that my dog keeps barking at something outside!

My sister was telling me about the movie yesterday. It really freaked her out too! Now I want to rent it, lol.

I assume you're posting about the recent film. If you want a real freak out, rent the original.

Just make sure you have someone home with you!

I think the worst part about this movie is that it's based on a true story. Well atleast the nuclear testing, mutant people!

Oh dear lord, how can it be worse than this???

Ohhhhhh ... I was actually scared .... haven't felt that way in a long time!!!! :teeth:

I'm a huge scaredy cat, so much so that I'm embarrassed to watch horror movies in front of anybody.. so I have to watch them alone - stupid huh?! I've been debating about this one... I've heard it is truely scary!!

Can anyone compare the scare/gore factor against say the Devils Rejects movies? I need some sort of reference point!

It's actually not based on the nuclear testing mutant thing, but on a 17th century Scotland family who were cannibles.
It was very graphic, comparable to Devil's Rejects. I liked Devil's Rejects a lot better though. Love Captain Spalding. :thumbsup2

I agree, it is a lot like those two movies, but both Rejects movies were better.

Hmmm....maybe I will try out these Rejects movies next. Is there more than one? Should I see them in a certain order?

House of 1000 Corpses comes first, The Devils Rejects is the sequel. While I think Rejects would still be good without seeing Corpses, it certainly would help to have seen the first movie before seeing the sequel. The sequel has the typical scene that clues you in on what you need to know from the first.

Those are the Rob Zombie movies right? I will have to check them out, he is an interesting man himself, so hopefully his movies take that morbid kind of twist. I will just have to make sure someone else is with me other than the dog..... :rotfl:

Are you saying that The Hills Have Eyes, is based on the Scotland cannibal family or the Rejects?

The Rejects are just twisted, sex crazed murders, not canibals.

And yes they are Rob Zombie movies so as a added bonus you get is sick sense of humor and his music as the soundtrack.

I totally agree, the original is soooooooooooooooooooo disturbing!!!!!!!! Old Wes Craven movies usually were. I am on the waiting list at Blockbuster for the unrated version of the new one (long wait unfortunately), so I can't compare, but the original is just nasty.

ouu I remmeber that movie, it was good, the proper way to watch that is hone in the dark with a sexy women and a blanket

The Hills Have Eyes, sorry.
Does anyone remember Sloth from The Goonies? One of the mutants reminded me of him, just not nearly as nice.

Okay The Ring scared the dickens out of me. Is this worse????? :scared1:

He did look like Sloth, only he wasn't asking for Baby RUTH!
