I need to read more now! What a great tr. You have such a beautiful family. I am so living through your trip.

I am so looking forward to reading more, more, more and I love the pics!!!!!!

:wave2: I'm subscribing to this thread just so I can read along. What an amazing storyteller you are!
We were there around the same time you were there and stayed at Pop Century, too!
Can't wait to hear more about you un-birthday and the rest of your adventures.

Hi Lan:
I know where you are! :cool1: You not too far from me. :thumbsup2 I am in Loganville - my Dad lives really close, in Senoia.
Thanks for reading.

Good Morning Cmamma!!

I know where Senoia is now because I have a client there (I provide in-home counseling services).

Ok, I know it is Saturday and you have a life and all, but......but......ok, fine I will be patient :sad2:

Hi, Cherokeemamma!

I love your report!

The Surprise -- fabulous. I lovelovelove the poem, too sweet!

You and your family are SO super adorable. All of you. Thanks for including so many pics.

A big TU :thumbsup2 for Rosie who rescued you from nausea! That is truly good customer service, there!

The tea party looks smashing. You ladies are all old friends now, right? What fun. Someday I hope to have tea at the GF, with my girls.

and the Crystal Palace, yum! We're going there in January, against my better judgment, but now I can't wait! Thank you!1

Finally. You soooooooooo don't look 50. That CM blew it, big time. That's like asking someone when their baby is due and finding out they are not pregnant! Happy Un-birthday to you, anyway. It looks like you had fun.

Looking forward to more!!!!!

Still love your trip report. Maybe the CM at CP was joking asking you if it's your 50th. It's better than other women asking when your due and your not even pregnant just have IBS occasionally. :rolleyes1 People really don't think, maybe he didn't even really look at you because you look much much younger.

I totally agree. You certainly dont look 50. You don't even look close to 50, IMHO. Some people just dont think before they speak, I guess. :confused3

Like a little slice of heaven right here on earth. I am a huge Pooh fan and have been ever since DS was about 2. We loved to watch the Pooh videos and I just fell in love with whole 100 Acre Wood Gang. I think the whole lot of them have just the most unique and wonderful personalities. Don’t you?
I so agree. I always want to cuddle them, when I watch them on TV. They are so ingenuous and sometimes wise at the same time! Lovely!

Glad you had a nice unbirthday. :goodvibes Don't worry about that guys comment. It was so apparently misplaced and untrue!!!

I'm late again!!!!! Great pics of Crystal Palace! I ate there for dinner this year, breakfast last year. I too think that breakfast was better!

It would REALLY be hard to wake up soooooo early for breakfast. But the next time I go, I will, so I can have a great picture on main street too!

Hi! :wave2:
I am loving your trip report, cherokeemamma! You and your family are just too adorable! :goodvibes I look forward to more!!

We leave Crystal Palace and head over towards Liberty Square. It is a magnificent morning even though it is warm and a bit humid there is a nice breeze and blue skies!! We all notice that is not at all as humid and hot as last Oct when we were here. We are going to have a blast today. The wait time for the rides are really non-existent. Most everything is a walk on or no more than a 10 minute wait. SWEET!!!!! It is definitely going to be a Zippity-Do-Dah-Day!

We head to Splash Mt. first because we all love it…probably my favorite ride in the MK. We walked right on and enjoyed it very much. When we came back around to the loading zone there was maybe 6 people there so we asked if we could ride again. The CM said NO!!!! I didn’t say it, but was thinking…..What? Are kidding? There is no one waiting…These people could fit into 1 log. ?*#!@!?
Okay…no problem, we need the exercise anyway. We get off and walk around and walk right back on. We ride again and it is just as much fun the second time. Then we head to BTMR. There is no wait here either. I think this is a fun ride but I find it to be rather jerky as does DH. It is not one of my favorites but I do love the theme and details of this ride. My children do love it so they want to go again….I said OK, but I’ll wait. They rode again and loved it!!

We then headed for the train because we wanted to go to ToonTown. It was just after 10 am and I really wanted to get in line at the Judge’s Tent before the lines got too long. We got in line around 10:20 or so and the wait was not bad. I would guess that we waited maybe 10-15 minutes for the princesses. Aurora, Cinderella and Snow White were here today. DD was so excited to see them. We got out the autograph books and pens and waited patiently. My DS made the comment… "It sure is hot in here”. I looked over at him and realized he wasn’t talking about the temperature. Oh my gosh…he is really is turning into a teenager!!!! I found it really cute that he took off his hat for his picture to be made with Cinderella and Snow White. I certainly noticed but never said anything! At least he is a gentleman.

We then get back in line for Daisy Duck, Pluto, & Goofy. There was some pretty funny stuff going on here with Daisy and Pluto. The characters were playing their roles to the hilt. They were ignoring one another and pointing at each other and acting all mad. My kids got a real kick out of it. At one point Goofy had to intervene because they started to push each other. Quite amusing…

DSC_0357.jpg

We head over to Goofy’s Barnstormer. The kids ride and we wait.
A tidbit of family history: Last year, my DS would not ride any type of fast ride. He had been fearful of most rides his entire life. DH and I were somewhat concerned over his fear and we were also concerned that we would spend a boatload of money to go to WDW and he would be miserable because he wouldn’t ride anything. So last fall, on our first morning at WDW, we were in Fantasyland and DD and DS loved all the rides. We then headed to ToonTown and saw Goofy’s Barnstormer. DD wanted to ride but DS didn’t. It took quite a bit of convincing and he reluctantly (with tear filled eyes) boarded the coaster. I told him I would not let anything happen to him and I would hold onto him as tightly as possible. He was so scared and I really started to second guess my pushing him to ride. I started thinking what if….something happens to him while riding….what if…he is emotionally scarred for life because I pushed him too hard….what if….he passes out from fear. Ok, I know these are probably totally irrational but as a mom these type thoughts do enter in your mind. As the ride started, I could tell he was so scared. But after a few seconds he relaxed a little and by the end he was hooting and hollering and laughing and YES!!!!he loved it!! He didn’t pass out…he doesn’t hate me for pushing him. He simply loved it and wanted to do it again. We were really proud of him for facing his fear and he was proud of himself. Before that trip was over he rode every thrill ride except ToT . We had created a thrill seeking speed demon…oh my!!! DH and I would laugh and say what have we done?!

We head toward Tomorrowland and do the Indy Speedway. There is a young lady in front of me who could not seem to keep her car going. I don’t know if the problem was her or the car but it was so frustrating stopping every few seconds. DS was behind me so I knew he was going to crash into me…..After that we headed to SM. I remember going to WDW as a child for a oneday trip and thinking this was unbelievable fun and scary. It seems likes a kiddie ride to me now. My children do love it but again I find it to be rather jerky. I have heard about the refurbishment at DL and I hope they do the same here.

DSC_0367.jpg

We then go to the CoP. Last trip we didn’t do this…I am not sure why. We all really, really enjoyed this. I hope they never change it. I think it is amazing to realize what a visionary Walt was. Can you imagine the things he would have dreamed up and created if he had lived several more years?

DSC_0373.jpg

It was now 1 pm and we were starting to get hungry so we headed to Cosmic Ray’s for lunch. Because we were not starving we split 2 CS. DH and I split a Turkey Bacon Wrap with Pasta Salad and DD and DS share a Hamburger and FF. We also shared 2 chocolate cakes. The wrap was very good but I didn’t like the pasta salad so DH ate that. The kids liked the burger and FF. The chocolate cake prepackaged and it was okay nothing special. I mean its chocolate…how bad could it be? Right?! I am sorry but I didn’t take any pics of the food.

DSC_0370.jpg

We thing rode Buzz Lightyear 2 times…walk on!!! I love this ride. It brings out my competitive spirit. Last year I almost scored 1,000,000 but this year, I am sad to report, I never even came close.

DSC_0372.jpg

DH had to go to the restroom so we sat down outside. All of a sudden a trash can comes rolling out all by itself. DS said, “What the heck?” My kids are very curious so they were up and investigating immediately. This one little guy, probably about 4, comes running up and grabbed the trash can at the opening and pulled him backwards. He came off his wheels or something because as DS put it. “He killed it!” After a couple of minutes a CM came over and revitalized it and low and behold it not only moved but it talked! I now know (the trash can) his name is Push. My kids start following him and it went something like this:

Push: Hey, who are you? Are you a goofy kid?
DS is wearing his Goofy hat so he thinks that is quite funny
DS: Yeah, I guess so.
DD: How can you talk?
Push: Hi there little girl…What’s your name?
DD: Allison. How can you talk? Are you a trash can?
Push: You can hear me can’t ya? I am talking to you aren’t I.
DD: How did you do that?
she sticks her head into the opening of the trash can.
Push: Your head smells like shampoo. Did you know your head smells like shampoo?
My DD is just amazed at this. Push sees my B-day pin and wishes me a Happy B-day. I thanked him and we start to walk away but DD is still amazed.
Push: Look at this girl checking me out…I am blowing her mind.
We asked Push if we could pose for a picture.
Push: You are gonna have a hard time explaining this to the folks back home when they ask why you posed for this picture with a trash can.

Only at Disney…

Now we go to see what time the next Pirate Tutorial is happening. It says 2:30. It is a few minutes after 2pm so we head into Adventureland. I am a huge J Depp fan so I am excited to see this Capt’n Jack look-a-like. I have read a lot of great things on the boards so I am really looking forward to it. There are just a couple of folks gathered so we grab a spot on the wall to sit and wait.

As we wait, we look over and see some characters so we decide to go over and get some pictures and autographs. We are in line for Jasmine, Aladin, and Genie when we met fellow Disser CoCoWum and her lovely family. Actually it is my DH who meets her and then we all introduce ourselves. He somehow got on the topic of the DisBoards with her. I never even thought to take a picture.

Genie had fun with DS…notice the bunny ears

DSC_0392.jpg

Then we see Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. They were quite entertaining as well. Captain Hook was rifling through the ladies bag in front of us. Every time the she turns her back he would start going through her stuff. It was really funny. Mr. Smee gave DD a new hairdo  and she thought it was hysterical.

DSC_0391.jpg

We wandered back to wait for Capt’n Jack. After a few minutes a seedy pirate guy comes out and announces that Capt’n Jack was not available so there would be no show. Oh No!!! I am sooo disappointed. :guilty: They never explained or elaborated so I have no idea why. It is closing in on 3pm and we are really tired so we are going to head back to POP for an afternoon break.

As we head out down Main Street the Barber Shop quartet is entertaining the parade crowd. My family starts to point at my B-Day button they beckon me out into the middle of Main St. They asked my name and then begin to sing “Happy B-Day” to me…then they start singing “How Old Are You?” One of the guys stops and says, “You know it is impolite to ask a lady her age.” I agreed with him so they stop asking that and went on to sing “How much do you weigh?” It was quite funny and rather embarrassing…my family loved it!

DSC_0394.jpg

We left the MK and headed to POP for a rest. Looking back I really wish we had stayed for the parade becasue we never got a chance to see it again. I wish they would do these a little earlier in the day maybe 1:30 or 2. It interferes with my nap time. :teeth:

DSC_0378.jpg

We rested for a bit and headed back to the MK around 6. I could hardly wait to see Wishes!!! To me, it is a perfect ending to a perfect day. After arriving, we went straight to Fantasyland and rode the rides and enjoyed Philharmagic. :3dglasses It is awesome. If you have never seen this I highly recommend it. I think it is one of the best things at WDW…fabulous!! We then went to the Haunted Mansion. It was walk on also. I was very disappointed that the Liberty Belle wasn’t running. I never asked why but I know that it just came out of a year long refurbishment. :confused3 I never did see it in operation.

DSC_0406.jpg

By this time it is after 8pm and we are hungry again. We wanted to try Pinocchio Haus so we headed back over to Fantasyland. When we got there they were no longer serving!!! We decided to just have a snack and eat at the food court when we returned to POP. We got a couple of funnel cakes to share in Liberty Square. We had the plain with powdered sugar. They are yummy, by the way. As we ate we debated over where we should watch Wishes and decided to go back to the front of the castle. It is not the best spot but we enjoyed every second of it anyway. Truly magical!

DSC_0440.jpg

We took our time strolling down Main St. as we headed out of the park. We wandered into the Main Street Confectionary and I had to take a picture of the fudge for my Dsis. She loves fudge…they have so many different varieties. Dsis would love this!

DSC_0455.jpg

I also loved the containers for the hot chocolate. Have any of you tried this? I did not buy any but was tempted on many occasions…I just love the design of the cans.

DSC_0454.jpg

Once we returned to POP we ate at the food court. This place was really hopping. It could have been noon with all the activity going on. I really could not believe how busy it was at 10 o’clock at night. There were people going in every direction. We had the Penne Pasta with Chicken and Alfredo sauce. It was really pretty good. We were very tired so we went straight to the room. It was time for those magical dreams that they like to wish you here.

It had been a wonderful, magical day. As a family we had experienced so such laughter, magic and joy today. :cloud9: I felt truly blessed to be at WDW making such great memories and sharing this time with my husband and children. What a wonderful blessing!

Coming up next Rocking and Rolling at MGM…

I'm loving your trip report! The picures are wonderful and your kids are SO cute! :teeth:

-Alison-

Man, no fair, you got to see and talk to the trash can!! I'm green with envy.

Oh boy, oh boy!
I got to read 2 installments!! I just love, love, love your trippie! Your photos are great and your kiddies are just adorable!
I'm soooo missing MK now. Well, at least I've got your TR to keep the magic going! The castle/firework pic is amazing!
Looking forward to more! more! more!
:teeth:

Cmama,
I really wanted to see the talking trash can while we were there! I even checked out where it was supposed to be located and still didn't get to see it.... :sad2: I am so jealous with envy.. I can't wait to hear more.

BTW-That fudge looked awful good and I don't like fudge very much. The hot chocolate in the cans-is it really hot? How does it work? I am very interested in knowing this.....I might try it next time. I am a hot chocolate drinker since I don't drink coffee. :teeth:

I'm loving your trip report.

I can't wait for our breakfast at CP. I'm looking forward to our walk through main street before the crowds get crazy. Our ADR is also at 8:00. I love the pictures of the food. You are a great photographer (I think I should take a photography class before our trip, but even then I'm sure my pictures would not look as good as yours). I am known for focusing the picture and then moving the camera, so then everything is blurry. Thank goodness for a digital camera and the delete button.

Thanks for a great trip report. I can't wait to read more.

Happy 29th Birthday by the way. :)

Redheaded mama
