What is the name of the movie that he is in? I would like to get it ahead of time to show DD. We are going to MNSSHP and I would like here to know who the Headless Horseman is.

The Movie was Sleepy Hallow.
Washington Irving's tale of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman gets a few new twists in a screen adaptation directed by Tim Burton. In this version, Ichabod (Johnny Depp) is a New York City detective whose unorthodox techniques and penchant for gadgets make him unpopular with is colleagues. He is sent to the remote town of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of bizarre murders, in which a number of people have been found dead in the woods, with their heads cut off. Local legend has it that a Hessian ghost rides through the woods on horseback, lopping off the heads of the unsuspecting and unbelieving. Ichabod refuses to believe in this legend, convinced that there must be a logical explanation for the murders. In time, Ichabod becomes smitten with a local lass, Katrina Van Tassel (Christina Ricci), who is the sweetheart of the burly Brom Bones (Casper Van Dien), and he becomes determined to capture the murderer to prove his bravery and win her heart. Christopher Walken, Jeffrey Jones, and Christopher Lee highlight the supporting cast; Lee's appearance is particularly apt, since Burton has cited the Hammer films of the 1960s as a major influence in making this film. Andrew Kevin Walker and Tom Stoppard contributed to the screenplay. ~

It was a very good movie.
We thoughly enjoyed it.

Thank you,I will definatley have to check that movie out. From your summary I don't think it is for DD5. But I think I would really like it. I had Sleepy Hallow on the tip of my tongue and could not come up with it. I am now off to Netflix.

The Legend of Sleepy Hallow is the full name I believe

You are correct that
The Ledgend of Sleepy Hallow Is the title of the story by Washing Irving.
I think there is an older movie with that title too but the 1999 movie
staring Johnny Depp is just titled Sleepy Hallow.

The Disney cartoon version of the headless horseman is in the Happy Haunting Sing-A-Long Video.
My 3 year grandson loves that video but is still a little scared of that cartoon.
I am sorry I misread your 1st post I thought you wanted to know the story so you could tell your daughter about it. I sent you the descripition so you would know it was not for a child to see.
The Legend of Sleepy Hallow is very scary for young Children.
The Happy Haunting version is about the only one I would have a young child watch.
BTW the headless horseman at MNSSHP rides through so fast that children don't really realize he is headless.
Enjoy your trip and MNSSHP

Thanks for the whole story. I will also tell her the story. She is always so full of questions and we will have a long drive to WDW. We are very excited for our first MNSSHP. :flower:

We just watched Darby last night and the headless "coachman " appeared . He was NOt the headless horseman. It was the headless coachman.

The Disney version of Sleepy Hollow is in the animated film "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" on DVD and VHS.
