The Haunted Mansion movie

Even though I am a dear fan of the Haunted Mansion, I just wished the
movie had that awsome feel and look that Pirates of the Carribean did.
Yes, the haunted mansion movie stayed true to the attraction,
but the mood and the whole "darkness" of it all was not even as visible
and scary, like how POTCB was.

Personally, I would of liked if the crew (not cast) from POTCB made the
Haunted Mansion movie it would be so much more scarier, and it would
have them cool CGI skellingtons and not them costrume guys. ( But then
the cotrumes play huge homage to old fashion horror movies!) Plus, a
PG-13 rating.

But then, the Haunted Mansion is good as it is right now. But they could
of made it better. What do you guys think?

I liked the movie, but I agree that it should have been scarier. And I foundit funny that the butler did it. In all of those kinds of movies (you know, like the murder mysteries) it's ALWAYS (or most of the time) the butler!

Yes. LOL. The Butler thing had me cracking up, it is always the butler, or the maid. Wish they put a twist on it and in reality, IT WAS ALL OF THEM, and they were controlled by a hypnotic force uknown. The force making them argue and make everything taste like Agustus Chocolate Covered Gloop!

By the way, LOVE your icons ^ ^ WHOO horray for da Tim Burton movies.

oh dont get me started. i am a die hard haunted mansion fan, and i was beyond excited for the movie. but i must say... i was beyond disapointed. i was, however, very pleased with the storyline pertaining to master gracey and the bride. because, the story is actually hidden in the ride, you just need to know where to look. thats my favorite aspect about the ride/movie.

the actors...really could've been better. although the actor that played master gracey was fairly good, i felt the others just didn't fit the mansions storyline.

i wouldve enjoyed it much more if:
1. it told the real story...not some stupid thing set in the future like it is.
2. better actors...more scaryness.
3. it played the grim grinning ghosts song. i was so disapointed to find out it only played a little of the bg music and the singing heads only sang the begining of the first verse.

i know this...but sorry..those zombies in that movie were not what i would label a "happy haunt"
