The Hat begins removal Jan. 7th

Well most of the hub construction is during the night. As well as rivers of light at AK. Avatar is different because it's in an area not seen by guests so they can do work during the day. I think it really depends on the project. With the hat I don't think Disney wants machines running in the middle of a park in the middle of the day where everyone can see it. Especially because with that hat they are cutting pieces off so I'm sure it's a loud deconstruction with the metal saws.
I was actually thinking more about the 7 dwarves ride. We watched some of those workers a few times.

It's interesting what you say about the noisy saws. It made me think of the entertainment in Epcot for some reason. ;)

The Lumberjacks :rolleyes2

I wonder, are the Photopass photogs still there to take your photo with the partial hat? Inquiring minds . . .

The question should probably be, after the hat is down, how long will it take to construct the stage or whatever else is planned for the area.

They are still there, just facing the opposite direction now. Your backdrop is the exit of the park instead of the hat.

The stage will probably be up for Star Wars weekends.

The area is supposed to get a redesigned hub possibly like it was prior to the hat.

That's what I meant, how long will construction walls remain before we get an unobstructed view towards the theater? Looks like it will be a while for anyone going in the next few months.
