Okay, so you guys wanted to know how we pulled off doing every single attraction, show, live entertainment, preshow, character autograph, etc etc in the main four parks in just 6 1/2 days? Well I finally am getting around to writing the trip report after watching all 15 DVC tapes of the trip. So here it is!

Cast:
pirate: Captain T-I-double guh-err aka Jarrid (Me): 23 year old film graduate
and
:earsgirl: Jen: 25 year old arts management student

As a little intro, I will explain how this trip came about. I was planning out our trip to Disney when I saw all these little fun things I'd never seen before. I've been to Disney 23 times, but there's always something to miss when you go. I told Jen I wasn't going to miss anything this time and we talked about how great it would be to do it all in the 6 1/2 days we had set. I thought about this for a short amount of time and said "What's stopping us?" We had both worked in the parks and have been there numerous times, it's not like everything was brand new!

So, I starting planning a different way. I pulled up all the information I could and started to plan attraction by attraction...this was just for fun at first, but then realized how possible everything really was! Also, throw the characters into the mix and we could make a pretty sweet documentary. Thus began the Hardcore Moucesessed WDW Tour 2005. ::MickeyMo

Flash forward to Thursday, February 10th. The day actually started out pretty badly, which scared me. We got to the airport fine, but as we were eating breakfast, I asked Jen to hand me the tickets so I could put them in my backpack and she couldn't find them. Our trip nearly ended before it even began. Luckily, I searched every spot we had been and found them lying in the middle of the airport on the floor. Thanks Jen! I decided I was going to hold the tickets from now on. We boarded and found a hidden Mickey on the floor of the Delta Song terminal!! That was cool. Then there was a big problem with our seats and the flight attendant was quite mean as was the lady sitting next to us. I started to grow a bit wary of what was going to happen next.

We arrived in Orlando and picked up our Mears tickets to take us to Casting across the street from Downtown Disney, so Jen could pick up her ID to get her into the parks. (wow...run-on sentence) Of course, with the luck we were having, they refused to take us there even after we asked and they said they would. So now, we had to take the Mears to the hotel and then take a cab to Casting. Plus get to the Disney-MGM Studios by 5 o'clock... I was determined. (oh yeah, Jen claimed that I had lost our Mears tickets and then found them in her bag a minute later...)

We pulled up to the Caribbean Beach Resort and checked in. Gino from bell services was so incredibly nice to us and took us to the room and back so we could be on time. We found out that as we pulled up to Aruba (where we were staying) there were tents set up all around our area and our area alone.

Me: You've got to be kidding...
Jen: Please, no...

That's really all that needed to be said as we realized, we had been placed in the one area the cheerleaders were staying in CBR. Trying to keep an optomistic attitude having various bad experiences with them in the past, we took a cab over to Casting. They dropped us off at Team Disney, which means we had to to walk all the way down to Casting. This, however, wasn't that bad. It was about equal to walking from Mexico to Canada in the World Showcase.

All of you: When is the darn trip going to begin?!?!
Me: Right now.

FINALLY, we took another cab over to the Disney-MGM Studios JUST IN TIME to get our EMH bracelets, grab a Mickey Premium Bar :mickeybar, and get in line for the Beauty & The Beast Live stage show. The reason we had to get there by 5, was it was the only day Four For A Dollar was performing at the show. If we missed that performace, we would have missed one of my favorite pre-shows. They were amazing as usual. The B&TB show always makes me laugh, since the Broadway show is just so spectacular. It's funny to watch the show without the Beasts lips moving. We traveled straight over to Fantasmic! where we got the best seats in the house: the first Pocahontas aisle that slides down towards Mickey...3rd row. AWESOME. I felt as we had done an awful lot of sitting at this point, but it was worth it b/c in the next few days, sitting became way too foreign a concept :earboy2:

Fantasmic! was great! While waiting an hour or so, we met this awesome family from Canada and struck up a nice conversation until the show began. Everything went smoothly, the dragon and the snake worked fine! I stayed till the very end (unlike most people) and went over to Rock 'n' Rollercoaster to get a fastpass. Then we headed over to Tower of Terror. They redid the drops! Now they trick you at the end into thinking it's over. It's just awesome how they continue to make that ride better and better. After it was over, I checked out all the cool Nightmare Before Christmas stuff and headed over to Coaster where we (as always) asked for the front row. The guy was reluctant, but I told him I'd wait as long as I had to. He set us up on the next one, which happened to be with all the cheerleaders :cheer2: who come in just for EMH. I had forgotten how much fun that ride was!!

Now it was time to go over to Great Movie Ride. When we got there, it was a 40 minute wait. The CM advised us to come back exactly at 10, and as long as we were on line by 10, we were assured a ride. For now, we changed the schedule a bit and went over to Star Tours, which we weren't even planning on that day. We rode in the back (which is the most turbulent) on our way to Endor. It was fun, but the CM wasn't really feeling her job, and I think she wanted to just go home. That's okay. We had fun anyway! :)

We got off at Endor and scooted over to MuppetVision 3D. :3dglasses Luckily, we caught the entire pre-show. We moved into the theatre, where no one seemed to be too excited. They were probably all tired from a long day in the parks. The water from Fozzie's squirting flower didn't work...so that was sad. In the gift shop, there were so many good deals, so I reminded myself we had to come back and get two adult shirts so we could get one half price :)

We finally got over to GMR at about 9:30PM and waited on line. We figured we'd do this and then call it a pretty productive night. Our tour guide was awesome and completely in spirit...the only thing was, he didn't stray from script at all...I wasn't sure if they were cutting down on the rules forcing CMs to stay on script and not make it your own or if he was just a "straight-from-script" actor...either way, he was very lively. We got the gangster in this run. She was not very good. In fact, she was so bad I wish I had actually waited till 10 to have the possibility of having a different gangster (or cowboy). ***SPOILER*** But we were satisfied enough when she died. ;) ***END SPOILER*** hehe.

We took the bus back to CBR and got off at Old Port Royale to be pirates for a bit and get a bite to eat and a souvie refillable mug for like 12 bucks. I decided we should walk back to Aruba, which didn't make Jen too happy because she had started complaining about walking...but I wanted to see the sights...and you can't do that from a bus window. We got to our hotel room and it wasn't that loud. It was, however, freezing... and I had no cell phone service in my room, so I had to stand outside with a very light hoodie I brought with me so I could call my girlfriend and say goodnight. If you know me, I don't talk very loud when I'm on the phone. I'm extremely considerate of those around me. However, some lady down the hall, came out of her room and looked over the balcony for a while. When she noticed me standing in front of my room, she yelled at me to get off the phone. I knew she wasn't bothered by it until she noticed I was there. I changed spots so I wouldn't have to see her...and I didn't for the rest of the trip. yay!

The cheerleaders started coming in at about 1AM...believe me, I heard them from our room. We finally fell asleep at about 2AM as the screams and screeches subsided. I fell asleep knowing that tomorrow would be our first day in the Magic Kingdom and I was excited!!!!

To be continued in the next post....entitled Friday... :)

Thanks for the report! We had a few problems with cheerleaders in Dec., I didn't realize that they came at other times of the year too. Oh well! :)

in Dec and the cheerleaders were very good then. I think they go all times of the year. thanks for your report .......sounds good to me so far

Great report!! I feel so bad for you that the cheerleaders where there :( I worked a cheerleader event at MGM, there were competing right at Indy. I had bathroom patrol. UGGHHH!!

back when i was working in Area 4, I had to work a cheerleader event at Indy. I had the task of making sure they didn't stray into the off-limits backstage area.
