The Hangout Thread: The Season of High n00n

I remember at my graduation our valedictorian (whom we all never saw at school after junior year and thought had graduated early since he dual-enrolled) had the most unintentionally condescending speech and at the end thanked his fiancee and everyone was like "what"

but we also exited the ceremony to the Pirates theme song which was fun

~just arts high school things~

Graduated yesterday and leaving for senior week today! Even though I guess now we're no longer seniors but graduates.. Whatever I consider myself a senior until college starts

yay I won an advanced copy of a book I've been curious to read

tho it probably helped that I was the only person to enter

"hi, i was calling to check on an application i submitted recently."
"um, we're not hiring."

oh.

I had college orientation today and good gosh it was worse than cheer camp. Or at least just as bad.

The misery was unexplainable. Unnecessarily long. Ridiculously foolish. Wasted information.

Orientation tends to suck. I didn't really click with anyone in my small group which just made it worse. Our leader just talked mostly about Greek life and the different ghosts in the freshman dorms.

Meeting people at college becomes easier when you start finding others in your major or try out different clubs and organizations. Orientation is just a necessary evil to get there. :goodvibes

That's the main consensus I have heard. My orientation leader wouldn't shut up about Greek life either! He was a major frat boy. We had to talk so much about our feelings and it was just so awkward. "Go around the circle and stereotype yourself" they say. Put on the name tag and wear it with shame they say. It was just agony lol

escape from tomorrow is the worst movie i've ever seen and i am going to laugh about it every day for the near future

my college orientation was the weekend before classes started and we went to magic kingdom

that's how i met my friends

i cant believe it's been almost 3 years

It's finally happened.

A recipe I tried didn't turn out perfectly.

Shame on me, really, for thinking I could convert easily from the metric system.

I participated in national wear your Lilly Pulitzer day today believe it or not

I watched the fault in our stars yesterday and I hate to be stereotypical girl, but dang did I cry. It was just sad

Making khaki take me to see TFIOS because everyone says they cried

Even these boys I met at orientation told me it was a great movie and they were really cute so I trust them.

I got ZERO sleep this past week. When I got home yesterday I took a five hour nap then went to bed for 12 hours and I'm still tired.
