The Halloween Candy is out in the store!!!

I think July 16 is a little early for the Halloween Candy! Was in the A&P this morning and there was a huge orange display with spiders on it and boxes of Halloween Candy!

I have seen Christmas stuff out at Sears KMart, and Hobby Lobby. HSN had their all day Christmas show yesterday. I wonder why they waited so long for Halloween candy?

"Christmas in July" isn't so unusual to me...our mall even does fake snow and Christmas music and so on for a few days in July, then puts it all away until November. They don't keep it all out.

But Halloween in July? I just can't get into the spirit for that yet! It's too hot outside!

I use to work for a candy company and they now actually have planned candy shipments that start around this time. They know its tempting to buy candy early and it will be gone by Halloween so people will have to buy more! I think we actually had 6 shipments planned between July and October.

Halloween candy already. That explains why it is July and I had to go to 4 stores to buy beach chairs for my trip to the shore next week. I am expecting the Christmas items in the store any day now. Last year my Walmart had back to school, Halloween, Christmas and Summer items out at the end of July.

Christmas stuff was out in HL here at the end of May/1st of June, so doesn't surprise me that halloween candy is out. It will just get bought, eaten, rebought, eaten, etc. Perfect for the stores!

My husband and I were shopping last weekend and we saw Halloween stuff in three stores! Too early people, let me enjoy my summer!

Don't get me wrong, Halloween is my favorite holiday, we go to MNSSHP every year. But if I bought a few bags of charleston chews now, they would be gone in about 2 days, never mind Halloween!!!

I've been in a lot of back rooms of grocery stores and have seen that some reuse those orange spiderweb boxes, probably because it makes it easier to display candy if it's on sale.
