The Guarantee / GTY stateroom anticipation/discussion thread!

Wow! Just 1 week before cruising! I want to send my FEs ahead to the ship, but I need room numbers for our 8/25 Fantasy.

Please enlighten me...Last cruise my FE gifts took up an entire carry-on. Which worked out for us because once we distributed the gifts, we had room for our souveniers.

You send the FE gifts ahead? How? And with the room numbers???

You can send packages ahead to the ship, but you need your stateroom number. People do it with all sort of bulky items, like baby supplies...diapers,etc.

We booked a 5B GTY on the Sept. 22nd Magic voyage out of Galveston and I'm impatiently awaiting our assignment. LOL! I look & look & look to see what 5Bs are still showing in inventory for us, just so I get an idea of what we might end up with. LOL!

Well, I knew that...what I was wondering about Sussie is that she needs the participant stateroom numbers so she can ship the FE gifts to the ship.
I was wondering what Sussie does? Does she have each one of the items delivered directly to the FE participants?

I'm sure she just ships them all to herself in her stateroom and then distributes them once she gets on the ship. It'd be awful expensive for her to ship them to each individual stateroom.

UG! 21 Days to go till my 9/1 Fantasy cruise and still no room #! It's driving me CRAZY!

We're on the Sept 12th NY Canada cruise in a IGT, pretty sure there won't be any upgrade, they did the huge DVC sale on veranda rooms for this sail date so there are no veranda rooms available anymore but tons of inside staterooms in every category! My first GTY and not much hope to get anything fun, well at least it was super cheap!

WOO HOO - just logged on and saw that I have a stateroom # and I got some AWESOME pixie dust! Went from a 9C GTY to a 5C!!!! Verandah room here I come! I hope everyone else waiting gets some pixie dust too!

Congrats on your upgrade! I have a question about GTY room. We got ours assigned right next to the mid ship elevators and was concerned about the noise level with the busy foot traffic. Does any know if we can change rooms if it's a GTY room? I called the Disney cruise line and they said that we get what we're given.
Or has anybody else had experience in a state room right next to the elevators? Any help will be appreciated!! Thanks!!

We have been right beside the elevators more than once and we LOVE the location. We have never had any issues with noise.

We've stayed near the elevators numerous times and never had any troubles w/ noise. It's actually nice to be able to step out of your stateroom and take a few short steps and be in the elevator/stair lobby to get where you need to go.

I agree, we never had any hallway noise in our rooms by the elevator and they are so convenient!

Ohhh great! That's good to hear. I was just worried about hearing lots of talking because we are so close that when I open the door, I'll see the lobby. But thanks for putting my worries to rest!!

We are on the September 1st Fantasy! I never get pixiedust so this is soo cool! I've cruised 11times on DCL and have never received an upgrade so I'm super excited!
