Deck 2 on the new ships is a totally different experince we had an inside deck 2 midship last year on the Dream and loved it.more than our Deck 2 OV on the Magic which we werent thrilled about

Sailing on the Dream, Oct 14th and received our stateroom assignment. Booked 8C and received the same..glad to be on deck 8! 

We finally got our cabin assignment for the Dream 8/15 sailing!! It came some time after 10am and before 12 noon (I know because I was checking constantly!). We booked OGT and were assigned category 8B which we are pleased with!

It was "rough" waiting so close to the sailing, but in one week we'll be ON THE DREAM!!!

We finally got our cabin assignment for the Dream 8/15 sailing!! It came some time after 10am and before 12 noon (I know because I was checking constantly!). We booked OGT and were assigned category 8B which we are pleased with!

It was "rough" waiting so close to the sailing, but in one week we'll be ON THE DREAM!!!

Wow! Just 1 week before cruising! I want to send my FEs ahead to the ship, but I need room numbers for our 8/25 Fantasy.

OK, now I don't feel so bad...you guys are waiting for the 8/15 and 8/25 Fantasy and I don't sail on the Fantasy until 9/1. So, if you're all still waiting/just receiving your GTY room numbers I'm guessing it can still be a week or so for me. The only thing that makes it more frustrating is that I HAD a room # but then I decided to upgrade my cabin category last week....so now I wait...again. Hope everyone (including me) gets pixiedust!

We just got our room assignments for our September 30 on the Wonder. We booked two Cat 11 GTY and received our room assignments today. We were upgraded to two connecting Category 9B rooms!! Hooray. So excited

Yep, I saw that -- I think there's some military rates for our sail date as well. I'm wondering if there were a lot of cancellations/date changes becasue for the longest time there weren't really any categories available on our sail date -- now there's tons of stuff to coose from

Good for you!!! That is a HUGE room & a HUGE verandah! Now call your TA & tell her to put the "do not change room" request on that reservation!!!! We do it on every cruise!!!

Fingers crossed for you!! I was kind of surprised at the upgrade because on paper, there are 3 in one room and two in another. We put our son on MIL ressie to lower her cost but he will be in our room. We planned on upgrading at port to an inside with split bath if we didn't get at least that so you can imagine how thrilled we were with this!!

Anyone know what time of the day assignments are usually made?

It definitely varies and there is no rhyme or reason. I had read prior to my experience it was typically Mondays and after 3pm. Ours was assigned 6 days out and because I was checking so often I know when it happened. It was this past Wed and it was between 10am and 12noon.

What was interesting is the others in my cruise thread noticed the VGT's seemed to come one day and the OGT's came another day - which was true in my experience.

My best advice ~ sit back and enjoy the ride!!

My GTY came through yesterday (Thurs). It was there before I left for work (noonish ?). I was at work when I had the opportunity to check again and it was 9:30 pm'ish. So sometime in that timeframe we were assigned. So I don't think there is any set formula really ?
