Springtime Surprise 2026 (Apr 16-20)

My AKL driver took us to OKW and SSR. This bus was in the second line, so not directly next to the resort signs. Somehow, he got lined up in the wrong spot, so was driving his route, but that was not where we were going.
Then as he was trying to take us to AKL, he took the signs to the park (missed the one for the resort), and then had to do a really awkward U-Turn in an area not made for a charter bus, right before the pay stations for the parking lot. Fun times. At least it was after the race.

Last year release was 2/27 (weekend was earlier too) so I think we're due. Would expect the same 5k and 10k maps but I think the 10 miler will have some adjustments to the HS portion, likely mirroring what they did for W&D.

Confirmed! 10 Miler is exactly the same as W&D Half until we exit HS, then there are adjustments to shorten that course to 10 miles. Final Epcot portions are a bit different.

One of our friends posted comparisons of the 10M course to previous years and there are slight changes within Studios and Epcot. I'm only doing the 5K so I'm not heavily invested.

They added more time between waves within each corral at Princess. Instead of sending each wave every 1-2 minutes, they were waiting more like 3-6 minutes. Glad to see them making that official.

I also notice (as usual) not all the details are updated just yet. For example, the Jeff Galloway section in the Expo guide still has all the old language with no acknowledgement of his passing.

There's fewer corrals for the 10k than the halfs. Princess half went up to G.

Not super thrilled about fewer corrals but extending the start times.

They posted a few things (or maybe just shared) to the rD instagram stories during Princess Weekend, and of course there was the video pre-race that Carissa put together and introduced, but I don't recall any actual statements or Disney-lead messaging that has come out. I may have just missed it.

Nothing formal on IG. Kind of surprised me, I didn't expect them to put something out with all the weekend chaos going on but would have thought they'd get something out afterwards.

Whatever you gave them (POT or pace) will be under your RD profile, there's a section for all your registration information. Since we're past the POT deadline it can't be edited.

They'll tell you no if you email them about submitting a late POT, most likely will say no at Runner Relations but a small chance that they'd say yes.

Ugh I sent an email and the automated email said no updates are happening for POT. I hope that they will make an exception. I also filled out an online form. My expected time for the 10 miler is close to 1:40!

Does anyone know where to get ice after the race? Would that be the main medical tent? Or does the self service tent after exiting gear check have it? Is the main medical tent after the finish and before medals?

Yes the med tent to the right after crossing the finish line has ice!

If anyone knows of any 10K charity bibs that are available that are waiving fundraising please let me know! I am a huge Pooh fan and didn't get in despite being on top of it on registration day.

I agree with this… it is surprising and somewhat disappointing if they don't do anything else ..
