The Gross Things you see.....

Not Disney related, but as I witnessed this yesterday I thought about this thread:

Well she coughed and her pacifier fell to the floor. Well the mother bent down, picked it up and PUT IT IN HER MOUTH to clean it off!!

I can never understand why people do that. It is so disgusting. The mother could be coming down with/carrying something that she could pass on to the baby. I know someone who is a nurse and has put the pacifier in her mouth and it wasn't even her own child!

Wow, there are some REALLY gross stories here. About two years ago, I watched two grown men pee against some bushes in our local Six Flags park, not ten feet away from my family. I would have given them hell, but my DD17, DD11, DW, and DMom hadn't noticed them, and I figured if I said something, it would just draw their attention to the two guys standing ten feet away with their junk hanging out.

This reminds me of just this past weekend at Panama City Beach. We were in the parking garage at the resort we were staying at and there was a guy urinating in broad daylight! He had his back to us but I could see what he was doing. He was actually facing towards the street. :sad2:

I will read this thread everytime I get hungry mid day.... I'm sure it will take me till at least dinner to get some appetite back!!!!!!!!!!:lmao:

This past March we saw alot of diaper changes at CS tables and benches...and you bet your bootie I made comments! That is the most disgusting thing you can do!

oh that and the nose pickers...jeez people keep the kids fingers out of the noses!

Since this is more of a 'fun' thread than anything about planning a visit - I'll be moving this to the ThemeParks Community Board.

Thanks,

Knox

The worst/grossest thing I have seen was on our sept. 08 trip. We were having dinner @ the biergarten. We were fortunate enough to be seated at the inside seats with another group of adults.

It was dh & ds5 on one side & me on the other. Dh ordered the pint/liter whatever size it is beer & had finished it. He left the table to go get more food. I happen to look over @ ds & he had "the look" on his face. Any mommy worth her salt knows "the look" I am talking about.

I instantly jumped semi over the table & pushed the nice gentleman sitting next to me over, grabbed the empty beer mug & stuck it under ds mouth. Luckily I was quick enough that it all got in the mug. The other diners @ our table had no idea what had happened at first. Once the first few heaves were out, ds was able to hold the mug enough for me to go around the table & get him. I asked the ppl sharing to table is they could watch our bag & let my dh know where we were & to ask for the bill asap.

It was like the parting of the red sea. You have never seen ppl stop in their tracks and/or move out of your way so fast. As I held the mug under his mouth & half carried/ran him to the restrooms(on the other side of the rest). As we passed the server station I asked loudly if there was a spare bucket someone could bring in.

A few min later I hear a voice asking "Excuse me, does anyone need a plastic container in here??" She was nice enough to have brought it and some towels to clean him up with.

Thankfully, there really was no mess of clothing etc. When we got back to the table, our server had boxed up some desserts for us & we were ready to go.

I apologized to the ppl sitting with us, luckily they were super nice about & understood. It must not have been that bad to them, they were still eating like nothing was wrong.

Dh has already said that we can skip the biergarten this year.

I just spent way too much time reading this thread but I wanted to add my story...
Last summer at the resort pool I was sitting on the edge with just my feet in the water watching everyone swimming. I noticed this one little boy, about 10-12 years old was going under water, coming back up and BLOWING his snotty nose into his hands, and then just rinsing his hands in the pool water! I was so grossed out, but continued to watch him.(that was my first problem I guess, i should have walked away!) After a few times of doing this, his nose started to bleed. I guess I was in shock, because I watched him go under water to rinse his bleeding nose about two or three times before I got up and informed his mother (who was sitting on the opposite side of the pool from me). All she did was have him sit on the edge of the pool and she splashed water in his face to wash it off!! GROSSS!

OMG, so I know the look! After getting called to school twice lastyear, I had to tell ds' teacher he's what we call a "spontaneous puker." The slightest things can make him barf...he gagged in the pachyderm house at the zoo, recently puked all the way to the bathroom after our puppy pooped on the floor, be puked on the playground when he saw a dead squirrel, he puked in the car when I gave him a piece of black licorice to try (needless to say, he didn't like it). Yeah. I know "the look".

You did a great job with your cat like reflexes!

Disney needs to pass out "Park/Resort Etiquette Guides" when people enter a park or resort. Then again they would probably end up on the ground. :sad2:

My local Six Flags hands out guest code of conduct cards. Basically stuff like not to smoke out of designated areas, not to use profane language. They end up on the ground a few seconds after they are handed to them.

With the man in the video...I feel badly for him. If you notice, he's walking out of the park, he was probably going back to change his shorts!

Heck, I took a bottle of hand sanitizer with us to WDW a couple weeks ago and never cracked it open once.

This happened at the end of our trip...we went to the beach on our way back from WDW and my son, the wonderful freak that he is, enjoyed putting his hands in the water & sucking on his fingers. He'd then go, "MMM!!" Salt water is so disgusting, but he enjoyed the taste apparently! He went back to jumping waves, but still, what a freak!
:lmao:

OMG! I love your description! This is the first time I've truly laughed at something in the past week. (see my siggie). Thank you!

I'm so sorry for your loss and hope your family is doing ok.

I guess Sept was a doozy of a month. I was there for the first time and was amazed at what I saw.
1: A Mom in one of the baby care centers didn't bother to use a changing area. She changed her sons poopy diaper in the tv area. She then threw it in a regular trash can and without washing her hands started feeding her baby?
2: In the restroom near Peter Pan there were a lot of empty stalls and a changing table, but a Mom with three young children, all in diapers, walks up outside the rest room, lays her first child down on the ground, changes them, lays the second one on the ground. another change, then the third one, same thing. Leaves the diapers on the ground, takes candy out of the diaper bag, hands it to the kids and goes on her merry way.
3: In pizzafari, child tips over the food tray with a pizza, breadsticks and a salad. Mom picks up the pizza and breadsticks, puts them on the table, scoops the salad back into the bowl and the family starts eating. A cm sees this, offers to replace the food and the Mom says, "It's fine, there's nothing wrong with it.:scared1::sick:

Not really gross, but kind of disturbing.
I saw this one woman, big fuzzy slippers, ratty bathrobe, eyes glued half shut,
Oh, Wait. That was my SIL coming through the door from the connecting room.

My bad!!!

I am a pretty laid back person... not a neat freak at all...and the only time I even carry hand sanitizer is when we're at the soccer fields with porta potties... I always get so grossed out by the countless women who use the bathroom, come out of the stall, maybe fix their hair, but never bother to wash their hands... Especially in a public bathroom , this is just the grossest thing to me... and you would think that they would get the hint if there are 5 other people lecturing their kids on the importance...yuck!!

That is the saddest video. People are cruel.

That is sad..Especially since I paid so much for me and my family to enjoy our time in the parks..I have much better things to do than to stalk somebody to get a laugh at their expense. SO SAD!!

Probably get flamed for this one, but the grossest thing I've ever seen at Disney was a young couple in the smoking section with their 1-2 month baby in the stroller. They were sitting in front of the stroller holding their cigs right in front of the baby's face!! I understand they needed a cigarette, I used to smoke...but come on! The baby didn't need to breathe that in...cover him/her up or something. Stand to the side, hold the cig AWAY & exhale in the opposite direction. Made me sick to my stomach...worse than actual puke would have! I commented angrily as I passed and they had a few choice words for me, but I felt better for trying to protect that poor innocent child. I'll never understand.:confused3

No flaming here.It disgusts me to see people smoking around their kids. Both of my parents smoked around me and I remember being young and going to school and the kids asking me if I smoked!!!??

My DD is only 4 ... We just recently went to the Jacksonville Zoo and took my mama who is a smoker *I must add .. not in my house or car...OR around my DD!!She is made to go outside..and when she comes in she must wash her hands!* There is a sign with the red NO circle on it and a cigarette in it.She said .. "Look Dran It says NO SMOKING IN THE ZOO!" Dran agreed and said she didn't even leave the house with them.So we get over by the giraffe exhibit where they can be fed and there is a huge set of elephants that you can have pictures with. There is a family there and the dad is smoking. He is about 6"4 and BIG.DD sees him smoking and says very loudly "EXCUSE ME SIR...THERE IS NO SMOKING IN THE ZOO"!! He ignored her because my 4 yr old can read and he obviously can't so he must have been embarrassed. My mama was like..WOW.I said well she knows what is right and wrong and that is wrong...LOL

Smart girl! :cheer2:

My DD and I were at Disney back in Feb for my Birthday....We were staying at POP and we all know what it is after a long day of the parks. The parking for the buses can seem so far away...but we always make sure that DD and ourselves even go to the potty before starting that way.We stayed till park closing and were on the way back to the bus stop. There was a GROWN MAN who thought he must pee at the corner of the fence where our bus stop was at the end.I guess he thought it was dark enough that nobody would notice.I just talked to DD so she wouldn't notice ... SHEESH!! Did he not just pass several bathrooms on the way out of the park ?

Epcot-The Living Seas...way back when.DH and I were there and were coming out of the tunnel where you heard the nice wave sounds. We use to stop and just listen for a few minutes. So this time we walk out and all I hear is the awful sounds of somebody vomiting in the bushes as we walk out.I am a sympathy puker..I put my fingers in my ears and RAN!! I didn't puke but was on the edge.EWWWWW
