The Gross Things you see.....

Earlier this month, we were eating at 9 Dragons and the party across from us finished their meal before we did. I guess they were taking turns using the restrooms before heading back into the park. The father and son got up and left the table. The mother and grandmother were sitting there talkign and the mother picks up one of the knives at the table and proceeds to use it to clean under her nails and cut her cuticles.

Last May I was in AK sitting on the benches outside the rest room by EE a famliy sitting across from us had a little boy of about 5 who was peeing right were people walk!!! When he was done his mother handed him hand sanitizer Umm if you are worried about him getting pee on his hands what about all the people who are walking in it!!! Not to mention that there was a bathroom 10 steps away from them with no line! I so do not understand some people

my story of grossness is not as bad as some of the stories that I have read on here but it was nasty to me.
I'm not a germ freak or anything but one year while I was waiting in line for the great movie ride there was a family that was letter their kids crawl through the line. I mean there is no problem with sitting down if your feet hurt but CRAWLING the whole way through the line thats just gross do you know how dirty that floor is. Plus it was also a little bit annoying to the people that were behind them.

ok i have a gross one..it was my own DD as well!
It was our 1st day in disney and we left the parks around 7, i didnt think DD would fall asleep on the bus so i didnt put a pullup on her. Well she fell asleep on a crowded bus. She was on Dh's lap and she pee'd all over herself, him and the poor boy sitting next to her. I was mortified, i tried to apologize to the kid and his mom but they didnt speak very good english. After that day DD wore a pullup every day! Hey at least we were pulling into the resort parking lot and not going to a park.

This has been several years ago, but my sister and I still talk about it. In the middle of a heavy rainstorm a mother was letting her little girl squat and pee in the running water by the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. The water was running onto everyones feet that walked past. Disgusting!

i know there wasnt much i could do..i tried to sit next to DH but the kid and his mom somehow got ahead of me.
At least i cleaned up the seat and all when we got up. Oh and the best part was Dh only brought one pair of jeans with us thinking it would be warm and u guessed it those were the ones he was wearing!

I saw a baby being changed on top of the table at Peco Bill's once. Full on poopie diaper. It skeeved me so badly that I now carry those antiseptic wipes and am pretty crazed about wiping things down really well. My DD loves to lick her fingers after eating salty fries but at Disney I won't let her after seeing that, just in case. Ew.

To be honest, there are germs and gross things everywhere in our daily life. Not just on vacation...

In med school I took a microbiology class and you learn a lot of gross things! In fact, manye people in my class changed the way they did things once they found out! haha

But, there is only so much you can do and then hope for the best. You can spend all day worrying about it and not enjoy life!

I usually dont worry about it, most of it is gross but usually harmless or very low risk. I'd rather spend life enjoying it, rather than worrying all the time.

Of course, some of the actions by parents in this thread is just ridiculous too!

Geez...kudos to the potty training commitment these parents have with their toddlers to carry around little potties through WDW!!!I was one of those completely lazy parents when we did WDW twice last year. First time dd was still struggling with PT, second time she had darn near mastered it but still could only hold it for so long. We did both trips with her in pull ups the entire time. When we go this May, it will be the first time we attempt undies in the parks - she is completely trained elsewhere and can hold it a bit but I admit I am scared and WILL have emergency pull ups in a bag just in case.

DD committed a "gross" offense our first trip there last year. She couldn't hold it until we found a restroom so I told her to go pee in the pull up. Which she did. But apparently she must have done it again...or had to go REALLY bad because on our way out I realized her pull up was saturated and had leaked through her little tinkerbell costume. We were out of pull ups and even though I took her into the restroom to make sure she was all done going, I was not brave enough to let her go without anything on her butt for the trek back to the hotel even though we were right at the front gates at this time(we all know how long that can take at night!). So I just made sure she was on my lap at all times, so she didn't get any seats wet. They even rode the front car on the monorail like that...with dd on my lap getting the front of my pants pee covered...but I protected the monorail!

There was a noticable brown "stain" on the back of her shorts, but the worst part was that whatever caused the stain was literally leaking out of her shorts and down her legs. It was the grossest thing I've ever seen. She just kept on walking with her friend like nothing was abnormal. I couldn't understand how she could not notice what was happening.

While eating at Sunshine Seasons the family at the table next to us (talking inches) changed a pooy diaper at the table while we were trying to eat. Needless to say, we didn't finish and I *shamefully* admit I yelled at that woman. Classless moron.

As we were walking past EE, a dad took a toddler potty and emptied it in the grass.

Two different trips but totally disgusting none the less.

OMG i would have yelled too!
