It's not all of them - just some of them. There are connecting rooms that both have two double beds. I count 8 pairs/sets of connecting rooms per floor that are double/double, 6 that are double/king.

December 2007 we had connecting rooms @Pop with double beds in each room!?!?!? :surfweb:

Oh thank you for the correction! That's actually very good thing for me to be incorrect about!

:wave2: Good morning POP peeps!
 Two weeks to POP for me!
Here's my question for y'all: Has anybody ordered a cake at POP recently? I want chocolate w chocolate icing personalized for DGD and was just wondering if anybody has had success contacting the chef at POP or should I try the cake hotline? Anybody got a direct number for the chef? TIA for your help!

Hi, all! I just got back from a great (albeit short!) stay at Pop! I got an Illuminations view room (#3435) just as I had requested...yay! From the balcony outside my room door, I was able to see Spaceship Earth, Tower of Terror, the top of the Dolphin resort, Illuminations and Wishes. Not to mention the white trailers holding the new matresses! Speaking of which, I don't think mine had been replaced yet, but it wasn't bad at all. The rest of the room was in great shape.

One of the drink stations in the food court was being refurbished, but it didn't really create any problems.

Maintenance was pressure washing the sidewalks and paths throughout the resort. A tiny bit of noise, but they were only working during normal hours and not really early in the morning or late at night.

I did get the bounceback flyer (pictured a few pages back) in my room. Too bad I couldn't take advantage of it!

The resort didn't seem too busy at all, which was nice. Overall, a great trip! :wizard:

I think you had our room!!! Were you in the 50's section, building C on the 4th floor??????? I'm homesick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lmao:

I can't speak to ASM, but I wanted to point out to those on this thread that all of the connecting rooms at Pop have one room with a King, and the other with two doubles. You'll see that in Post #1 in one of the maps that show where the King beds and Accessible rooms are located.

I f that's what it says in post # 1 ,then it needs to be corrected . How do I know well we reaquested a connecting with 1 king and 1 dbl/dbl and got 2 dbl/dbl and were told that all the King connecting are handicapped rooms so wer very hard to get ! Now that might have been a line of you know what but I can personally attest to their being dbl/dbl connecting rooms!!

Honestly I didn't look to see if that's stated in Post #1 (I'll do that when I get home tonight), but if it does, indeed it needs to be corrected. The line of "you know what" is exactly what know I've read somewhere, and I really thought I had noticed that in the map. WRONG, KIMBERLY!!! :rotfl: I should have known better to make a statement like that without validating!

So again, apologies for causing confusion!!! That's NOT what I want to do!!

No apology necessary you do a wonderful job with this thread ! The line of you know what was in reference to what could have been an excuse by the CM who told me about King rooms I feel awful if you thought otherwise! I love this thread and all the work you do!!

I think the King/dbl connecting may vary by floor? :confused3
I noticed that rooms we have stayed in that were dbl/dbl are marked as K on the map, but just thought that might have applied to another floor.

So, you were right that the map is wrong, but that's the map I've seen everywhere, so it's not just here. :thumbsup2

We booked with a TA and have a preferred room. We are also traveling with another family and requested ajoining rooms. I called w-Disney and was told they could do nothing for us and they was no such thing as room requests you get what you get when you get there. Just wondering if anyone has changed from a preferred room to a standard and was refunded? After looking at the map(we were Pop clueless at the time of the booking, Thank's soooooo much for this thread!!!) we like the standard fourth floor rooms? Anyone?:confused3

Thanks ladies! :grouphug:

Englishrose, I absolutely took what you said about "you know what" as you stated. I didn't interpret that any differently! I was just reinforcing that what the CM told you I would have sworn I read somewhere, too. When I looked back at Post #1, that wasn't noted there, however, it did kinda give that impression, imo. So earlier tonight I added a sentence so no one else would misinterpret that as I did!

It's all good! :grouphug:

Thanks Simba77!

I do have another question, I noticed there are standard rooms and preferred rooms. Is a preferred room really better and worth the extra money?

I always said no in the past, but this past trip we booked a preferred with the request to be 1st floor poolside, 60's. And we got it. To me that was worht the money as we could go to the pool easily right out our door. Alot don't like pool side though.

I don;t think that is true. I'm pretty sure I have read that there a few with two double beds connecting. Unless it has changed. But I know it has been posted in the past.
