hi guys,

i have booked a standard room at pop and have just been looking at the locations of the preferred room. From the looks of it, preferred rooms are only on the 1st floor of certain buildings.

Does this mean, i could potentially get a room on the 2nd floor of the 60s building close to the food court?

seems unbelievable if this is true!!

Just got back from POP on 6/17. Booked standard room. We were in the 80's section. 2nd floor. room 7268. It over looked the computer pool. Once you get the short cuts down (we cut thru the bldgs and pk lot and it only took about 2/3 minutes to get to the bus stops) Other then the little noise from the pool, it was pretty quite. 2nd floor is nice since you don't have the traffic from people walking around.

I was wondering what others experience is with doing laundry at Pop Century. How many machines are there? Are they really busy? Can I do two loads (two machines) at one time?

Has anyone shipped to Pop Century with Fed Ex Ground? Is it worth it? (We were thinking of sending snacks and breakfast food?

Without a car, where can I get a loaf of bread while at WDW?

Thanks.

I did laudry around 7ish I think back in March and I rarely saw peopel in there. (60's) You can do as many loads at a time you want as long as the machines are available. I have heard at different times of the year and day it can be very busy.

No all floors are preferred.

I just made a room request for POP Preferred ROom, 4th Floor 50's or 60's building because the theming of the 50's and 60's appear much more to us than the others. We'd LOVE to be near the hippy dippy pool but I'm concerned about the noise...which is why I requested 4th floor (hoping it might be a little quieter). For those of you who've had a poolside room on the 4th floor, how was the noise. I'm thinking I should change it to the 70's building but we really don't like that theming.

Hi there,

I looked at that map, and from the room numbers (for example building 5 rooms 1 to 12 and 37 to 72 are prefered) the preferred rooms seem to be on the first floor only?

I didn't look at the map, but if it is the link I think it is, that represents all the floor of one buliding. Each floor is a copy of the one bleow it and if it is marked prefer on the first, it is preferred all the way up. There are some 60's standards, I beleive, but further back.

We stayed first floor, 60's poolside, and had no issues with noise.

:hippie: My family and I always stay in the 60's bldg. We usually stay on the 2nd or 3rd floor. The noise is not that bad and never bothers us. We always find it more "Magical" whenever we hear people having fun. Enjoy your vacation:thumbsup2

Preferred rooms are not limited to the first floor - they can be any floor but within a certain part of a building which makes them closer to the main building and bus stops.

KAT look at the post a couple above yours it had a great link to Pop rooms and layout !!I HAD A FIRST FLOOR IN THE 50'S BUT IT WAS QUITE A DSITANCE FROM THE FOOD COURT AND BUSES 70'S OR 60'S MIGHT BE CLOSER !!

I have a Preferred room request in the 50's or 60's. Was the first floor room you had in the 50's building that you say was quite a distance from the food court a "preferred" room? If so, perhaps I should change my request to only the 60's building?

This is a question that might not have every been asked before...are the elevators in each building air conditioned?

I would order groceries from gardengrocer.com

No my 50's was a standard room !!If you look at the Pop map you can figure out the preferred rooms thay are closer to Classic Hall or buses. In the 50'sit looks like Bldg 1 or 3 would be preferred in the sections closest to Classic. In the 60's both 4 & 5 the section closest to the classic hall would be preferredthe same in the 70's . When we go next year DD wants poolside by Hippy Hoppy Pool so that will mean preferred 60's !! I saved our Pop map from last year and use it all the time to answer ????

Would it be a good idea to request a building for a standard room? Like building #2 in 50's section. Is that one that has a good view of the fireworks at MK? Or the back half of building #10.

We have 6 days left before we go, so this should be done soon. Correct?

I,m not sure about Wishes! I could see Illuminations from 4th floor of Bldg 6 backside!!Bldg 2 is quite awalk from the room to classiic and buses !! Bldg 10 is closer to Classic and buses Maybe someone else knows about Wishes !! But I would decide soon and fax your request in!!

Can't wait to see you all there! We leave in three days! :cool1:

I was thinking of putting up a couple of scrapbook pages on the door for people to sign. I heard people get lots of signatures. Do people do this at POP?
