DM5+, I do believe I have given you a good idea for your next trip. :thumbsup2 When you no longer have a child that will fit in a stroller you can do the rolling backpack thing. I am tempted to do that one myself. :rotfl2: I signed up for a GG this morning. I have never done such before. Hope I do not keep everyone else up with my wild ways.:lmao:

I thought Disney didn't allow wagons or any pullalong things !!

I know this probably isn't the place to say this, but we have stayed at ASMO and now POP, and actually prefer ASMO. We just think the theming there is cuter. No complaints on POP though, overall a great time. Just thought I'd let you know since you sound like you like ASMO. Just don't want you to be disapointed. Everyone at POP was very friendly.

Thanks for that I do love ASMO and I am super excited about my stay at POP, my concern now is getting the rooms I want but while I have your expertise as a fellow ASMO vet can you give me your views on the food court comparing POP to ASMO...you can PM me if you dont think this thread is appropriate....

Thanks much

Tink

They don't allow rolling bags in the park.

English Rose and Alesia, I have read about the rule but I see those everywhere, besides I were joking. ;)

mamaLori05, I find that at the end of a long walking day a few extra steps can more than I can bear. I have a tip for how to deal with loud and obnoxious teens. I go out and sit down and start telling them about the 'good old days' and they suddenly get tired and go to their rooms. Works every time. :rotfl2: Heck, I am the lady who sits and watches the skateboarders in town to give them a bit of support and hopefully get them to do their homework first. :grouphug: It is awfully hard to get small children to sleep with the noise though. I hope you have a quiet room.

Slightly Goofy

Hey slightlygoofy,

I will definatley pick up that tip on my next trip only I will send dear old dad to hang out with the Nosiy Teens he has enough seaman stories to tell...

tinkerbell3747, I am glad to have been of service.:)

Watch out though cause some of those teens might actually enjoy the stories. Beneath all that noise are real live people who sometimes just want to be talked to like they are human. Sort of like us old folks.

Thanks Disneymom5

I have noted everything except facing the pool....thinking now that I may call back the grand gatherings number and see if I can add the building number and pool facing location, I am also planing to fax the request again prior to our arrival. I will also phone the resort to see where they have allocated us just not sure what time frame I should do this to allow time for them to possibly change it if need be.....:confused3

I think pop gets the room assignments at 5 days out, so no sooner than that.

Has anyone ever had a package shipped to Pop from home?

Where precisely did you pick up your package? front desk? some place different?

i cant seem to find if its been answered - but I reserved a standard room at Pop, and all I need for it is a King Bed. Do I ask for one when i check in or do i call 5 days before my reservation to ask?

also, do you ask them roughly 5 days before to request what building to get into? distance really isnt an issue, i was just curious if i ended up wanting to request. thanks!!

also - i am planning on watching wishes from the polynesian resort beach - from what i can gather, i will need to take the monorail to the magic kindgom and then take the pop century bus back to the resort. i know it will be a nut house with everyone leaving the park, is there any other option? like taking the bus from the polynesian to downtown disney and then back to pop? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

You can call now and request...its not 100% you will get it but the amount of people that actually make request are rather small. Last Year I requested a King Room and got it in the same building I requested it in. I think King Rooms are fairly easy to get at moderated as there are many families staying in them. I also belive that all King Rooms are connecting rooms which most people dont want (due to noise) so that leaves them open, Thankfully!

You can definately do that; go to Downtown Disney, then go to Pop... it probably would be much less stressful (but longer) than taking the monirail back to MK, then a bus.

Hello all,

I have a question for you regarding transportation to the MNSSHP. We are currently booked into a RO at WL for the last three nights of our stay. I am thinking of changing over to POP for the last three nights, to save some more $$. (Plus DS 8 really wants to stay at the "Hippy Dippy place"!) :confused3

How is transportation to MK from POP and back on the party nights? Is it congested, fast, terrible, awesome, or just ok? We have never done a party there or even EEMH.

TIA
Karen :flower3:

Couldn't they take the 5-10 minute walk thru the Poly grounds over to TTC and then grab a bus to Pop? Would that work?

We just went to P&PP on April 23rd. We had great bus service on that night. The bus service was great. My ds and I stayed until the party was over. I think they loaded out two buses at once when we were there. Since they loaded two at once, we didn't wait long. It was similar to park closing, except not as many people in the bus line.

thanks for the help. i figured it would take longer, but from what ive gathered it would be a tad less stressful

i will find out about the TTC though, thanks for the suggestion!!!!!:goodvibes

Thanks! I was worried. It looks like we're going to do the "Backwards Vacation" this year after all!
