YES marciemouse, we got 4 water bottles from ebay for about $2 each before our trip last summer--they each had their own little filter. they worked GREAT!!! we refilled each with ice water at least 3-4 times a day --sometime ourselves at fountain drink stations at CS places in parks and we also asked at each TS meal for our server to refill with ice water for ice! (we are HUGE water drinkers).
check ebay for water bottles!!

do you rememeber what they are called?

i don't recall the brand we got...i just checked ebay and looks like they are a lot more expensive now...
before i found the ones i bought on ebay, i did see them at a sporting goods store for $25-30, so maybe i just got a crazy good deal from ebay.\

here are a couple on ebay now that are similar to what we got:

hope this helps!

i have read several places about the idea of tying a balloon above the AC unti at POP to keep the AC running overnight and during the day when there is not any human "movement" in the room to keep the air on...
where is the cheapest place to buy such a balloon in "the world"? does the store at pop sell them??

I don't know if it is only certain rooms, but our air conditioner never turned off like the horror stories we have heard, in either of our trips to Pop.

In fact it was always COLDER when we got back from the parks than we had left it in the morning. I think the mousekeepers turn it down.

I always turned it up warmer at night, because we are not used to sleeping in air, and my kids would get cold.

So you may not HAVE to worry about a balloon.

Come to think of it, i dont think we had problems with the Ac at pop either. BUT...while we were there during Thanksgiving week it was actually nasty, cold, foggy...ick!!! But if you do have that problem just get any balloon and blow it up and tie it by the sensor. Or ask the front desk if there is a way to keep it on all the time. It may be something simple!

You need a helium ballon, not a blown up one. LOL!;)

Not necessarily. Depending on where the sensor is. Some of them are on the units it self. Now if its a wall mounted sensor then yes a helium will work a lil better. Sometimes the curtains moving because of the ac will keep it going. I always have that problem, keeping the darn curtain down i some places.
Come to think of it, i can't even remember if the Ac's at pop are "window" units or not :confused3 Ummm looks like after my WL trip ill have to go back to POP just to check, sounds like a good reason to plan another trip!

Here's our room. Excuse the mess. The sensor/control panel is to the left of the window. You can see our ballon by the tv stand. We moved it actually about over the suitcase each evening and it worked fine. In the day we moved it to the window for show. LOL! The mousekeeping always turned down the air if we didn't. (too the coldest setting.) We actually were a bit chilly coming back to the room, but we like it cold when we sleep. The ballons were not cheap. I think DH said it was $7. He bought it our first night for DD while waiting for the parade. It really worked out for us, and he had no clue even when he bought it. LOL! We left it though, as no way to take it home, unless we popped it.

Ditto this - we did not have a problem last August - and I did turn it up warmer at night too!

Ok, I may be the only one who wants to know this, but how do you keep the room warmer? We don't want to have the air on full blast. I like it warmer. I know we can turn it down, but someone else noted that mousekeeping will turn it back colder. Should we just leave a note, or do you think that if we turn it lower (warmer) they will just leave it alone? I know I know I'm crazy!! Expecially since we live in Wisconsin and you would think we would be used to the cold.....but I hate it. I'm actually looking forward/hoping it will be hot when we go.:rotfl2:

Thanks for the pic of the room. We were wondering what kind of table would be in there and you just answered that for us. One question though, do you think the table is sturdy enough to put one of those attachable high chairs/chairs onto the table. The ones that are a seat that kind of pressure mount to the table. My son is 16 lbs, and we were hoping we could use this for our breakfasts in the morning. Let me know what you think, or anyone else who has been there. Thanks a bunch!!

I would be afraid to use one of those chairs on these tables. They are really not that big and I would be afraid that the weight on one side would cause it to be a bit unstable. Hope that helps!

Yea, that's kind of what I was afraid of. Does anyone know if they let you borrow high chairs for your room?

FYI to all, there are several pictures of the rooms on Post #1...even one specifically for the table! :)

Whenever we were out and about when the kids were in the baby food stage (our WDW trips didn't occur then but we are always doing something) we would just pop them in the stroller and feed them there. Works great!

I don't think it is worth hauling a high chair of any size to just use in the room at WDW.

Just an idea...

Thanks for the picture! Geeze i forgot what the room looked like. I am programming my brain for WL! Yes the helium would definitly work better.

And if you want it warmer set it and if you can't speak to your mousekeeper just leave a note. Don't forget to tip your mousekeepers too!

I would leave a note. They always turned ours back down. Not sure if it was just our mousekeeper, or if htey all do that. I never paid attention last year to what they did.
