All in all, it was a good stay. I would consider staying there again, if budget was a major consideration, though the bed experience makes me think I'll save up a bit longer next time and at least take one step up to a moderate to save my back (though the bus service makes me think better of Pop...).
I'm glad you had a good trip!

You might need to go deluxe to get a better bed. The beds at POR weren't any better for me than the values. The beds at the Poly & CR were awesome but the buses are still better at Pop.

I'm not sure if this question has been asked so I'll answer a question I didn't know I needed to ask. That is: how does Pop respond to a medical emergency?

We were at WDW in January...................

Glad to hear you are doing better and that the folks at POP were so responsive to you. It makes me feel reassured that POP is where I'm going to stay. :goodvibes

We are going to be at Pop for one night this trip. It looks like such a fun place to walk around and see really neat things. If we wanted to check out all the POP stuff in the morning, how much time would it take to see it all? Is it very spread out?:confused3

Thanks.:)

I took some time during the solo part of my trip in Jan to take resort shots. I think it took me about an hour to get around the whole resort. I think it's somewhat spread out - I took pics of all the huge icons/staircases there.

I think the amount of time would depend on how fast you walk. There are great things to see from the 50's giant jukebox, to the 90's huge laptop. And there is a beautiful walkway that goes right by the lake that has a little sign for every year and a little fun fact on it. Mr. and Mrs. potato head are tucked in there, there are games of twister, and the front lobby has amazing displays as well! It depends on how much time you have to see everything. My last trip to POP, I checked out the lobby while my Dd had fun in the arcade. Then our last evening we walked around the resort taking pictures, and I have no idea how long it took. We were having so much fun just leisurely walking around and finding cool stuff.

Hope this helps a little... :goodvibes

Not from NH but close... just there last weekend. Cold and wet.... Depending on where in NH she is going. They've got plenty of snow if that's what she's looking for. Always best to layer up there. Nights can be down right cold... and days warm enough for a heavy sweatshirt.

Hope that helps

Sounds good! Thanks! I was just in New York today for the St Patricks day parade it was a lil colder than down here in South Jersey but I thought it would be alot chillier! Our Middle school perfumed in the parade! That place is amazing and the amount of people truely amazing! I haven't been there since I was younger than my kids! LOL!

Has anybody ever rented a car and had Enterprise pick you up from the POP? How long did it take them to get there, go to the office do the paperwork, back to POP- and so on.

or any other suggestions for getting a rental on day 2-5 of our stay.

I walked around each morning as I was up at th crack of dawn and my DD and DH slept in. I took a leisurely walk and took pictures too. I also went up to top floors on some buildings and took pictures from there. (If you go to the top floor on the back side toards the right of the 50's you can see the EPCOT ball and the tops of the CBR. And to the left you can see the top of tower of terror) You can walk the whole place probably in 20 minutes if you want. But to enjoy it, I would allow at least an hour or more. It really isn't as spread out as most other places. Have fun!

Also what kind of food does the food court have for breakfast?:confused3

Thanks.:)

Pop is also very fun at night so you might want to walk around that night also. Like others have said I think an hour would be good to get a good tour of the place. It is not as spread out as the moderate resorts.

On my last trip to Pop I got a crumb cake for breakfast and it was really yummy.:thumbsup2

I have never rented from Enterprise and I have also never done this but you might want to look into renting from Alamo and picking up the car from the Dolphin. They do charge like a $30 service fee for using this location.

Ok this may be a silly question but will the busses still be running until the end of the P& PP? Didnt know since its a hrd ticket event?!
Also, does anyone know the easiest way to get to Wilderness Lodge from POP. We have a dinner reservation there at 5:10. We plan on going to Animal Kingdom that day but not sure if we will be there until we go for our reservation...Maybe that would be easier?! Then ride the bus to Wilderness Lodge?! What about getting back?~!

Thanks everyone for the great advice. We will definitely leave at least an hour for Pop site seeing!

Just take a bus from WL to any Park and then catch a bus to your resort! It is time consuming but the only way if you have no car or don't want to cab it!!

There's a great calculator link under the Transportation section of Post #1 that recommends either of the following routes.

Bus from Disney's Pop Century Resort to
Magic Kingdom® Park then
Boat to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground : 45 mins.

~or~

Bus from Disney's Pop Century Resort to
Epcot® then
Bus to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground : 39 mins.

I don't think this is silly and I am interested too! I had not thought of it, but I will need a ride after P&PP too!

Yes, they will. We went a year ago in August and they were running (there were actually 2 busses waiting in the depot). I just hope they have the party again THIS August!!!:thumbsup2

Yes buses run for about 2 hours after. We didn't go to the party but went to GF that night and the bus driver told us that she was scheduled till 2:30 AM.
We went to Wilderness lodge for dinner too and we had come back from the park earlier. We took the bus to Mk and the boat to Wilderness Lodge and back the same way then.
