For those of you that had to wait for your room, where did you leave your bags?

Last time we stayed at Pop we used ME and our luggage was delivered to the room at some point during the day. This year we'll be using a car service. I know at POFQ, where we've stayed the last 2 years, someone from luggage services met us as soon as we got out of the car to hold our bags. If I recall correctly, Pop doesn't have the same type of luggage service department. We're arriving early so I'm sure our room won't be ready so I just want to be prepared for what to do with our stuff. :)

I've always used ME but I am sure if you take it over to luggage, which is located in the front as you are facing Pop itis too your right. They are very helpful there and you could leave it till your room is ready, they propably would bring it over , I have always tipped them for their help!!

:goodvibes We are at PC for 13n/14d in September 2008! :goodvibes

We are very excited, we have never stayed there, and have only stayed at SSR! We did book a Preferred room, as I have limited mobility (must use cane and/or ECV). I chose PC from all of the Values as I liked it in the video online (and the pictures I saw)! AS Movies was a close 2nd in my book, but PC won!

Is there anything at Pop that we must NOT miss (any icon, place, food, drink, pool, arcade, activity, picture spots, and so on)?

We have all of our ADR's made as of today, and all of our days scheduled as to where we are going to be... now it is just a matter of time! :rotfl: The waiting is the hardest part!

I figured those of you that have been to PC, or those that stay there often, know the "ins and outs" and can tell me what, on the PC property, must not be missed! :thumbsup2

I know SSR offered movies in the pool, crafts, pin trading times, Surrey rentals, and so on... but only found that out during our stay there, so I wanted to see if PC had anything like that before going, so as to plan for it, and not find out to late!

Any ideas? Pointers? Must -see's? Must do's? I appreciate any ideas you have!:thumbsup2

Thanks Everyone! :flower3: Kimberly

I noticed that check-in says 4pm, has anyone gotten there around 1pm and had there room ready. I want to surprise the kids with mickey ears but not sure about at checkin or in the room.
I have always had my room ready in my last 4 visits. 3 times I arrived around 2PM and the other was a later arrival.

My mom was told while booking our Pop Century room that there WAS a coffeemaker in the room - but I had heard that there is NO coffee maker. We are not going to survive this trip without a coffeemaker in the room - if there is definitely not one, we'll buy/bring a small one with us.

Has anyone been recently, and can you confirm or deny the coffeemaker situation? It'll be an ugly trip with no coffee!

NO coffee maker in the room! AND....the coffee in the food court is dreadful!

I have the Disneyworld Passporter and it states that you can request a coffee maker in the room at ANY resort. Is that true?

Last year we got there about 11 and our room wasn't ready until about 245. I think they made us wait because we were on their nerves calling from the pool every 15 minutes!!:rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

6 weeks and 3 days...(ok, 2 days and about 4 hours until we leave for the airport! Not that I'm counting...):yay:

I think we will be around together we come to the POP on the 4th and leave on the 10th. We asked to be in the 50's section. How about you?

:woohoo: :thumbsup2

We used ME and I used ME but brought my own luggage to the bus I just left it at luggage services. It was great!!

Does anyone know if either Petals Pool bar or Classic Concoctions serves draft beer?

YES :thumbsup2

No coffeePot, I shipped my own to Pop. It was wonderful:woohoo:

I have never heard of that

I've been to Pop twice and I don't think they have movies! I have heard that the CMs do sppecial dances a couple of times a day , that might be an idea. Food wisw I love the chicken alfredo and the Tye Dye cheesecake which is unique to Pop. With limited mobility I would try to get close to the buses and Classic Hall though. I love Pop and wouldn't stay anywhere else!!

No coffeemakers and coffee isn't good like all of WDW! Have you looked for a coffeepot Swap ? Check the budget board for those and Fridge swaps !!

No I don't think any of the Values have coffemakers in any way, shape or form, unless you bring it.

We're picky about our coffee and didn't much like what they had a Pop, but drank it anyway. We got the refillable mugs. I usually put a shot of hot chocolate in before my coffee. It helped. :)

Our original plan was to bring a coffee maker but decided that we just didn't want to have to deal with making our own or worrying about it making a mess or it getting knocked over by the kids. There aren't a lot of places to put a coffee maker, IMO.

Wooooooooohooooooooo!!! Booked Aug. 12-16 for a little before cruise magic. This will be my first stay at Pop. Last year we booked Pop, but were upgraded to SSR during free dining. I LOVED the upgrade, but am really anxious to stay at Pop. Thank you to everyone for all the great info.
The maps make it look like all rooms are close to parking lots, is this the case? I hate to have a long walk from the car to the room after a marathon day in the parks. I don't mind a long walk to the hall, and pool, but that late night sleep march is tough.
Thanks again!

I don't think anything is a long walk but that is just me. Now if you wanted to go from one end to the other, that is a nice stroll.

We are staying at Pop (our first time on property) April 16-25. I have a kind of general question.

Do you get your tickets when you get there to the resort? Or is your tickets and room key and card for purchases(set up to your room) the same card?

Jackie

When you check into your resort you will get your room key (key to the world card) which will also have on it: your dining plan if purchased, your park tickets if you bought a package or you can have previously bought tickets added to your card. You also can add a cedit card to the card for purchasing or you can add cash to it to a set spending limit that you will have to add more to if needed. You can get everything organized on your card on day one of your vacation at the front desk or concierge. They are always willing to help.

Do they have the pin trading at the POP? :confused3

I forgot about the pins I got , so excited about the plans and etc. I actually forgot about the pins.:headache:
