Have a GREAT time!! :woohoo::woohoo: I was just there in August and it seems so long ago! Good luck in the marathon :)

Hi everyone!

My DD and I will be at POP in about 2 weeks  :goodvibes
I bought some Disney Halloween themed window clings and a set of Halloween colored lights from Walgreens. I wanted to know if it's okay to put the lights in the window with thumb tacks or do you guys just use thick tape to put them up? I don't want to get in trouble for using thumb tacks since they will put little holes in the walls by the window. What do you recommend?
We will definitely be putting up the window clings, but the lights might stay at home depending on what answers you guys give me :)

TIA :hippie:

dont use thumb tacks. any bit of damage, while slight - is frowned upon. i'd like to suggest those suction cups with hooks that places like rite aid or cvd carry in their bathroom sections. -- you can hang the lights on the window easily that way! :)

That's a great idea! Thank you so much :thumbsup2

So, after back and forth and back and forth about staying at POP Century, (booked pop, changed it to POFQ), I am going to POP Century in December. I am so excited--POP was my first Disney resort ever and I can't wait to go back!

Hi everyone, We just got back from 10 nights at POP.

We were in building 6 of the 70's, Room 6457. It is 4th floor, facing the lake, it was refurb. We did see some construction across the lake going on for the new resort. We walked around the whole POP resort, we did see a few construction workers with hard hats on, but no real evidence of room renovations.

We did the bounce back, but changing resorts (we guess that getting older we would like to have a more relaxing atmosphere when at the resort, so that we can enjoy watching the kids at the park) going to CSR and getting the regular free dining. They have opened up alot of dates for next year for the free dining. Did have trouble getting through on the phone number that was on the bounce back shee

Well lets count down the days to our next trip. C&M :cool1:

Welcome home! Sounds like a nice room location. Thanks for the update on the refurb. :thumbsup2

I sure understand about wanting a more relaxing resort - I enjoy POP so much, but not every trip is a POP style trip. CSR will be a wonderful change.

Happy countdown!! :goodvibes

Thank you so much for all your responses guys! I am so excited! I hope we get a referb room! :D

Last Christmas, I used white masking tape to put up my lights. It worked really well... the lights stayed up and didn't tape off any paint when I removed the tape. :)

Welcome back Chuck !!!Glad you had a good time !! Do you know if next August is FD yet !!! I am sure hoping for it !!!I will check out the bouncebackwhen I am there in October !!!

From what I understand, you don't need to fax. Most advice I understand says faxes are not used. You can call central reservations and ask to update your room requests. I just used that method for this trip I completed last week and I got exactly what I requested -- ground floor, building 3.

I always fax. I actually am the one who wrote the fax that is used as the sample on the 1st page (at least it used to be. LOL) I put all my requests in with my reservation and then fax before we go to reconfirm everything. Thats just how I do it.

You CANNOT use either. It's a big no no for tacks and a big no no for tape. Actually if mopusekeeping notices it while you are there, there is a chance of being charged a cleaning fee for each day it's there. So I wouldn't chance it. (I can't remember if it was $10 per day or $100 per day...someone reported they had it done to them awhile back...) You can use stick tack type stuff, clings, the suction cups with hooks or magnets on the door.

15 days and we will be at POP! please stay away "Matthew" & possible upcoming " Nicole" ! :wizard:

We stayed at POP about 2 weeks ago for one night when we went to MNSSHP. I absolutely loved the resort. We were in the 50s building in a renovated room, which was a perfect location. The facilities at the resort are excellent and the pools were lovely. This was our first time at a value resort, and we thought it was great! We are going to stay at Pop again over New Year! :)

Just checked the weather for our trip next week and I am BUMMED all that rain forecasted is not making me very happy!!!

Does anyone know when the earliest is you can check in your luggage to return to MCO flying SWA??? We will be leaving for Mco around 8- 8:30 am!!!

How did you like the location of your room? This is exactly what I have noted on my reservation....Building 6 of 70's area, 4th floor, facing lake. Would you have changed the location once you saw where you were or were you happy with the area that you got?

We really liked the location, we were looking for 4th floor, facing the lake, it was nice. It was very quiet up there. Don't think that I would really change the location. We were in the middle of the computer pool and the hippy dippy pool. We did laundry, but since the change machine not working we went to the one by the hippy dippy, which ended up nicer since we could refill our mugs.

Just a heads up on the refillable cups at POP, no one was checking which ones you use. We seen people with old POP, blue generic and a bunch of other cups. We took ours from last year, put them in our carry on that way we could get coffee on the way to our room. :yay:
