Yes, there are certain meals that require a credit card in order to reserve your place, namely, Cinderalla's Royal Table. It is very popular and they can't have people booking and not showing up. That is precious table space that can be used for another family. Make certain, if you have given a credit card to reserve an ADR that you show up or cancel in good time in order to avoid the charge.

Yeah - the Princess dinner in Norway is the same way! I cancelled all of the ressies that I don't want (except for the duplicate princess dinner - still not sure which day we're doing Epcot! Only problem, princess dinner is 2 day cancellation notice while all the others are 1 day). I have 2 ressies at Cinderella's table for breakfast - the first day of the trip and the last day of the trip. It's my daughter's favorite.

I think those particular meals are lots of kids (and adults) favorites! I almost booked the Princess dinner in Norway, but, went with Le Cellier instead. My parents have never been and well, when Le Cellier has a spot, we all know you take it!

Just a quick update on the refurb situation. I know alot of people don't read the other thread.

Looks like from what people have posted 80's 90's done.
70's 90% done. This came from cm's at pop. We thought they were done.
60's Building 5 done with a report that they are now working on building 4.
50's building 3 done.

Someone please add if you hear anything else.

I saw the previous post that said Disney can cancel duplicate reservations, so I called Dining this morning and asked them and they said ABSOLUTELY NOT. They cannot cancel ANY reservations unless they are told to do so by the guest. You can go to the same restaurant every day of your vacation if you so choose, or go to dinner twice in one day at two different locations if you feel like it. (I'm pretty sure that's why they take credit card information for some meals - you don't show, they charge you).

If you wanted one specific place for a special occasion, how would you feel knowing that you can't get in because somebody else had to book that and three other dinners "just in case" they decided they wanted to be there that day?

I'm not going to get into a bickering war with you....but:

Just have to say to the "new" people that are inquiring about ADRs and double booking.

YES they can cancel both your ressies if they are for or around the same time at 2 different places.
It is lucky that the above posters that abuse the system have not gotten theirs canceled yet. (don't wish to argue, just stating the obvious)
But it only takes once to have it done to you.
They don't notify you that it has happened you just show up and wham no adr. So if those who want to take a risk of this happening continue to double book, don't be supriesed when it happens to you.

So again to the NEW posters asking questions, it is best to decide what "type" of meal you would want and stick with it. If you really can't decide then take the risk and wait, but I urge you not to do that.

WDW has good food everywhere, you won't be disappointed with a meal you book that far in advance.

AND YES let's all be nice, don't want this thread closed.

Amazing how a thread about POP gets into a heated debate about something that has nothing to do with the original thread. Maybe staying on topic isn't such a bad idea especially since this debate can be found and continued on a different forum.

Brilliant suggestion. Hopefully the difference in perspectives can be put to rest. Regardless, something like this is more fitting to be vocalized on the Dining Reservations Thread to discuss so it's topical to the thread. Please?

Yippee!!! Congrats! You'll be a seasoned WDW guest before you know it!

Most your questions are answered in Post #1 & #2, so don't miss out on learning more than you ever want to know there, including specific times of some activities! I think the chalk is limited to use only out front by luggage services.

Oh....there are not bell men who come to your room at departure time, so you're on your own there I'm afraid.

Yes there are still hoola hoops and there is a twister game by the sidewalk in the 70's decade. It is huge, built into the ground. Very cool.
Don't know about the Jets, but in Dec they were running.

The space between the two double beds is not wide enough for a twin-sized mattress.
If you need to bring a twin air mattress, you will have enough (barely) floor space to use it; however, you will have to move the table and chairs away from the entertainment center/dresser wall. An inflatable sleeping bag bed would work even better because it’s less wide. Remember that you still cannot exceed the capacity of 4 people + 1 infant.

Can anyone clarify how many inches are between the two beds? If an inflatable sleeping bag would fit there, I would rather do that than put something in front of the door. But if even an inflatable sleeping bag will have to go in front of the door, we may as well bring a twin inflatable so he's more comfortable. TIA.

Just back from POP. I was pleasantly surprised by the shower head and sink faucet upgrades - much better water pressure than before.

The curtain in the vanity area is not very thick and you can see through it if you have the light on over the sink.


I don't know for sure, but I would guess there's probably about 20-24" between the beds.

I am sorry if this has been covered before but I have not read all 244 pages. I want to take advantage of the free dining for 2011 but I don't think I want to spend the extra money for a moderate. So my question is, has anyone stayed at Pop after staying at a moderate and regreted the "downgrade"? This question almost sounds snobby and I am not trying to sound that way, just looking for impressions, promise I have never stayed at Pop, it looks nice, but will I miss the extra space and fridge?

Another question...are the fridge swaps disney legal? I don't want to get in trouble for anything, I don't want a disney hand slap . Are they trustworthy? Anyone use them? I am asking here because all the Pop fans are here with all the inside information.

I just wanted to thank whoever posted the pictures of the CMs doing The Twist from the first post. The tall girl in the middle is one of my closest college friends and former rowing teammates. I saw that photo this morning and started screaming! Who would have thought I'd find a photo of her on the Dis.

I am sorry if this has been covered before but I have not read all 244 pages. I want to take advantage of the free dining for 2011 but I don't think I want to spend the extra money for a moderate. So my question is, has anyone stayed at Pop after staying at a moderate and regreted the "downgrade"? This question almost sounds snobby and I am not trying to sound that way, just looking for impressions, promise I have never stayed at Pop, it looks nice, but will I miss the extra space and fridge?

Another question...are the fridge swaps disney legal? I don't want to get in trouble for anything, I don't want a disney hand slap . Are they trustworthy? Anyone use them? I am asking here because all the Pop fans are here with all the inside information.

IMHO Pop is one of the best resorts for the money, which is why we are heading back!

We were a moderate family no more. We love pop. The only diffrence to me is the smaller room size. I don't miss the slides neither do my kids. They requested pop again. The only real thing we miss is the fridge. So we are renting one.

I am glad to hear it! I don't want to spend extra money for a similar resort.

I think I will look into renting a fridge. I do like the having milk in the room for breakfast. My son expressed concern over having no slide, but I think he will get over it

I just looked at Deb's pics and videos and I really like what I see, the rooms have that sleek modern look and the carpet is awesome. I want that carpet for my house! Thanks for the feedback.
