That $1550 sure can go a long ways....maybe even toward another trip!

Happy planning - I know it is not always easy when we have our hearts set on a deluxe and must go back to POP - even if we do love it there.

Christine you know me ILOVE POP!!!! Means I can go more often !!!

Oh it did! We had a fantastic time! :goodvibes

She is old enough now to really get Disney and she is so excited about going back, she had me get a calendar so she could keep track of how many days until we go to Disney again.
That is so sweet! I hope it's a Disney-related calendar! princess: Prayers for your DD, and you!

Well I'm here staying at POP again with are free dining bounce back. It took forever to change from AKL because the promo had expired so she had to get someone from guest service to help me. But the 1550.00 we saved is well worth the 30 minute phone call.

I have to call back forgot to give them are airline info. I also like the 60's section facing the lake. WE really wanted to stay AKL but couldn't fork the extra money over when my 4 year old is begging to stay at pop again. OH well money saved and we loved pop last year.

I vote for another trip. We went (family 3 1/2) for $1556 (8 day 7 night) last 2 days of Sept-Oct w/ free dinning.

Yes we are going for 8 nights but may extened it to 9 nights.

Your right that money is another trip. Are trip with one day passes because we have tickets left over from all the times before. Was 1073.00 with free dining for 2 adults one child and a infant. Even if I added the tickets the trip was only 1550.00

Hello there! I'm looking for some opinions from you POP go'ers! :) When you've made special requests for certain rooms/locations, how have you done it? Do you fax the information to the POP as mentioned on page 1, or do you have it added to your reservations somehow?

Last year I sent a fax a few days ahead of schedule (as instructed here) and I did get the location I wanted although I paid for preferred. This year we decided not to do preferred but I'd like to request a location but not a specific room. I've read lately that they are now ignoring faxes since they get so many :confused3 and that it must be on your reservation? Can I call and add it to mine if I booked through AAA?

I'm just curious which ways you guys have done this and I promise I understand nothing is guaranteed! :thumbsup2 Would I be okay with faxing only like I did last year?

Thanks in advance!
Heather

I have been away from this thread for awhile, (been hanging out in the photography thread). We recently changed our ressie back to POP. The last time we were there was Dec. 08. We were scheduled to be at ASMu for Christmas 09, but due to ill health, we had to shift the vacation to June. We originally booked POFQ. We are now looking forward to our return to POP!!:yay: The first question and I apologize if this has been asked recently, do they still have the frozen cokes? Second, in recent posts I read something about rehabs. Have there been rehabs since December 08? Again, I apologize for any redundant questions, its just that I have been away for awhile and I need to catch up. Thanks for any help.

PS If there are any other new things that I have missed feel free to share!!

no matter if you decide to fax or not, you still need to have it on your reservation. The fax is more of a confrimation of your dates and what you are hoping for.

Definitely do both ! Call and add it to your ressie just in case that tid bit is true about ignoring faxes and also fax it just in case that tid bit is a mith! I always have it added and fax also! And I have been lucky thus far and have gotten my requests! :goodvibes

Great thread!!! Thanks so much for all the info.

Anyone have any suggestions of something I can have delivered to the room for the kiddos? Someone mentioned you can get the mickey ears and autograph book delivered, even though I'm sure you can buy it in every gift shop in the World. I just thought that might be a nice little surprise to start off the trip!

You can look on the Disney Florist website and they have tons of things that can be delivered to your room. I wanted to do the Mickey's Grand Welcome for my kids, but it's a little over 400.00. So, I ordered some things from the Disney Store and will putting it all out while the kids are at the pool the first day. It's a lot cheaper and still creates the element of surprise!

Thank you! :flower3: I'll do exactly this and hopefully I'll have it covered! :cool1:

Hi Jen! :flower3: Thanks for this info as well! I didn't see it on the previous page when I was skimming on my lunch break :rotfl2:

I'm going to call and add it to the reservation like you guys stated.

How can you get mickey ears delivered to the room? Are they there upon arrival? DD is graduating and having a grad ears there for our arrival to celebrate her graduation would be awsome!

I am coming back to the thread for my pre-trip planning. Ignore that first ticker in my siggie - staying off-site with DD's school (the shame). We will be back at Pop September 29th. through October 6th. for our 3rd. year in a row.

I have a unique situation as I know for sure we will be in Bldg 5, 4th. floor. Can someone who has been there give me some insight? Not sure where the actual rooms are though. I am told we have one king room and one dbl/dbl.

I am really excited about our trip. This is the first time we will be in that area. This is my 5th. trip to Pop, but the first time we will be in the 60's area.

Can't wait to read more about everyones trips. If anyone else is going during that time, a mini-meet would be wonderful.

What requests have you made and gotten in the past?

Ive requested 50's Poolside , Ground floor, connecting rooms during free dining my first time and got exactly that! We were literally a few footsterps from the bowling pin pool! I forget the rm number but I can go look it was a standard room and if you are walking toward the jukebox from the lobby we were the 3rd room on the left / ground floor dmil was 2nd room in ground floor and conecting rooms.

This past year we had preferred and requested 60's close to the pool!
We werent as close as we liked but we were close dont get me wrong were pool ppl we like to be right there!(Like walk out your door and theres the pool right there.) We were in building 5 the baby pool was right out our door! But we did only request 60's poolside so we did get our request.

This year I'm trying for 70's with the theory that we will be in the middle of all the pools! lol! 60's and 50's to the right along with the Goofy Pop Jets! and 90's to the left! :) Hey if worse comes to worse we'll take 90's poolside! We stayed one night our very first POP visit and didnt make a request because it was only one night basivally just to sleep upon arrival and we were in the 90's we actually liked it and didn't feel it was that long of a walk at all. But we really like the 50's! and we were really close to the laundry room also so that came in handy since the laundry rooms are near each pool!

Building five is the second 60's building if your leaving the lobby just past the hippity dippity pool! thats where we were last August. It is a good location! I wouldve liked to been in the first building right by the Hippity dippity pool! :) Right after Baloo or the Playdough can whichever side you wind up on. Can I ask just out of curiosity how you know for sure this is where you will be?
