Do you think the whole resort will be done with refurb by Sept.? We're trying to decide which resort to stay in and that would make a huge difference to us. I stayed at Pop in Jan. and thought everything just looked so tired and old, but would love to keep prices down by staying in a value. I absolutely LOVE the looks of the new refurb rooms. If I could be certain of staying in a new room, it would be easier to book!

According to the one thread about this refurb, the whole thing should be completed in 12 weeks. Again, as I recall from that thread, they did one whole building in one week. So I would feel very safe booking Pop for a September trip.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for our visit in four weeks and put that on my request.

I hear you, as much as I love Pop, some of the rooms are a bit tired which is why we went with Music last June. But I missed Pop so I went ahead and booked before I found out about the refurb. Now I'll be so bummed if I don't get one of the newer rooms!

Is there any confirmed info on which buildings ARE done? We're going in June. ;) TIA

Does anyone know if they sell helium balloons in The Everything Pop shop?
It's my bf birthday when we are staying there and i want to decorate our room while he is sleeping and pop over to the shop to buy some birthday bits x

Does anyone know - do they have double/double connecting rooms on the 4th floor or the various buildings, or only on ground level floors?

Sorry if this is a basic question but someone has advised me all the connecting rooms are ground level access only.

Does anyone have a map of where the connecting rooms are, and what their configurations are (that is: double/double or double/king).

Many thanks in advance.

they do have connecting rooms on all floors...I have stayed at Pop 3 times and had connecting rooms every time. The 1st time we had a double room that connected on the 1st floor 80's bldg(but we did not use the other oom so I don't know whether it was also double or a king), 2nd time we had a king room that connected on the 2nd floor 50's bldg(also did not use the other room so not sure if it was double or king) and the 3rd time we had double/double connecting rooms 4th floor 80's.

EHHH!! First post!!! I don't think typing enough !!!!!!! can exactly state how excited I am! FH and I made reservations yesterday for our Disneymoon (I refuse to call it a honeymoon...) and we're staying at Pop Century! We were pretty excited when we saw the pictures on line, and then someone told me to come here and register and read the threads, and this was the first thread I read and now on a scale of 1 to 10 of excitement, I'm about a 50!

This place rocks!! (as in disboards.com, I never knew this place existed and I'm so glad I found it!!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I read about decorating the windows and whatnot, obviously we're not going with kids, but do you think it'd be weird if we decorated our window with "Just Married?" Or would that be too weird?

I don't think it would be wierd AT ALL!! Plenty of peps who decorate their windows are without kids. We will be decorating our POP window in 4 short days!!!
BTW-:welcome: to the disboards.

:welcome: to the DIS!

You should most certainly decorate your window! It is so fun to see how everyone decorates. You could also put up a dry erase board on your door (use one of those 3M hooks) so ppl can write well wishes to you!

That "someone" would be wrong. Once again, the DISers would be right ;)

I really don't remember seeing them, but I could be wrong. We'll be there over the weekend, so I'll check for you if there isn't an answer before then. :goodvibes

I've stayed in connecting 2 double bed rooms on the 4th floor of the 50's Jukebox building and on the 3rd floor of the 70's Mickey Phone building. :goodvibes

I just changed my August ressie from CBR to POP using the summer discount code!! I was just not excited for the CBR and I think my DS5 would love the icons at POP. I can't wait to follow this thread! We have only stayed deluxe before and will be staying at the WL via bounceback in Dec, 10. But we wanted to take a cheap quick trip this summer and I think the POP will suit us just fine.

Now off to find a frig swap....
