We have 2 more sleeps OR one sleep & a wake up every hr to see if it is time to get up. We have to leave for the airport at 6am, so we need to get up early anyway.

1st time at POP!!!! Here we come.

We have to actually be at the airport at 6am so we will need to get up at about 3.30am. I guess my son will be getting up - I'll probably be sop paranoid about over sleeping I won't sleep at all.

Can you use ME with Southwest Airlines? I have seen different reports.
How are Christmas dec at POP?
Is it a pain w/o the fridge?

Southwest was doing a trial run to see if prechecking bages for the ME would work. My friend who went in August was able to use this. I am not really sure what they are doing now.


Christmas decorations at Pop are very nice. There is Christmas music that is piped in around the resort grounds and in the food court/gift shop. Here is a link to some christmas pictures http://allears.net/acc/g_pop.htm Just scroll down to "Holiday Decorations".

Since I've never NOT had a fridge during our stay I don't know if it's a pain. It would be for me.

We are going to WDW a day early! We are DVC members and Kidani was not available so I said POP! We will leave Oct 11 and stay at POP. This will be the 7th time we have stayed there. We have never not minded having a friedge and the fridge is more of a cooling box they do not get them cold. We just bring a cooler and put ice in it and always get a refill cup so there is no problem. getting a new video camera so we are going to do a small video.

Our only other stays have been at POFQ so initially I was nervous, but after reading this thread all week I feel quite good about it! Can't wait actually. We're celebrating our anniversary at my favourite place...but truthfully I'm looking forward to surprising the kids more. I've always wanted to do that...sneak in their room with my "ears" on at 5 am and say "GET DRESSED your plane leaves in 2 hours!

Hi - do they sell boxes of breakfast cereal in the shop at The Pop?

A habit of mine is to grab a few handfuls of Apple Jacks, Chex or Cheerios or the like, put in a ziplock baggy and carry with me throughout the day for snacking.

Just occurred to me I'm going to have to go without at WDW unless we can buy a box of cereal, as I can't bring a box with me.

Can anyone advise?

You can use ME if you travel SW. ME will take your bags from the airport to your resort no problem. SW is doing a trial at Pop on taking your bags FROM Pop to the airport. SW does not take bags yet from any other resort to the airport. You just take your bags on the bus with you and check them at the airport.

I think I remember Pop selling small single-serve boxes of cereal in the food court. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure of it! I like my daytime cereal snack too.

A quick question about the fridge with medical letter thing. Ma just got out of the hospital and has to keep her meds chilled - her doc gave her a note for a fridge. She can go but has to take it easy and her meds on time.

Do I have to call the special needs line prior to arriving or can I present the letter at check in? If I can't get one that way I will have to rent but I wanted to ask everyone what their experience was.

Or... I may have to buy one and take with me, medicine is too expensive to take the chance of just icing it.

Anyone know?

Online check-in was a breeze this morning. I got all my ADR's except Sci-Fi for lunch for DH. My KOTS trip has gone off without a hitch *fingers crossed*. The big reveal to ds6 is one week from today!!!!

I also got all my ADR's I wanted today except for Chef Mickey's. Do they have temporary tattoos at the pool area? My dd loves to get these. Last time we stayed at POFQ they didn't have them at the hotel.

Got back last Monday but have not had a chance to post yet, craziness, coming back to after school activites already started and missed school for 8 days.

Will post more later and was thinking of doing a trip report too but a word of caution for those free diners out there, we were really really disappointed with Cap n' Jacks. My husband and sons salmon was dry and disgusting and the serve was not the best disney has to offer.

Now on the other hand, we ate at Kauzzina's by Cat Cora....WOW!!!! Amazing!!! Everything we ate there was great and the service was excellent. It is a little loud in there as it has an open kitchen but it is cool to watch the cooks. And it too is on the dining plan,which we didn't know till we got there.

They also serve real brewed coffee, yum, if you are like so many of us that hate Disney's coffee.

Yes! They did have them across from the Petals bar where they also do hairwraps when we were there this August!

Yes! They sell the single serve cartons and they are also a snack credit if you are on the DDP. Are you taking checked luggage? You could throw a box in there in a zip lock bag just in case it gets damaged if you are checking a bag.

I leave for the airport in 6 1/2 hours I got to sleep all day so I am up and packing cleaning house until I leave.. I am so excited

I would like to be in the 60's section or the 70's top floor. Because the 50's pool will be closed during our stay. So I would like to send a fax in. I'm not sure how many days before we check in this should be done?
