Just posting to see my TICKER!!!! I Need to PACK!!! I also need to search the DIS for a packing list - because I can't seem to find my last ones from 2006 and 2009!! The last one I found was from 2002! Not updated! ;)

Can't wait to LEAVE! And, I know I won't want to come home either! :lmao:

the rooms in bldg 10 on the 3rd fl. that face the fooseball players and Mickey telephone are being refurb'd the whole side.
i was in bldg 6 in a refurb'd room, looked good, like the new tv's

We will be there at the end of Aug. Will all the preferred be done by then?

I don't know if you already posted this but how long is your "longest stay ever"?

We are really really hoping to visit POP in Nov.13th-20th. Is every room in the 70's buildings preferred? We usually request quiet area away from pool, facing landscape/parking area. If it is preferred we will just go with 80's. My DH & myself grew up in the 70's-80's era. My soon to be 10 yr old DS thinks 80's music is cool:laughing::confused3 Are these rooms renovated now?

Not every room in any building is preferred. There is a map on page one that shows which rooms are preferred. There's another thread going about the renovated rooms. It sounds like all of the 70s and 80s will be redone by the time you get there.

My tip--ask for lakeside as none of those rooms are preferred. You'll face the lake, which I find lovely. I wouldn't be surprised if WDW eventually makes the lakeside view a separate category with higher priced rooms, especially once the new resort is finished since the view will be even nicer then.

We are flying in late the day before our package starts and staying at Pop for one night. We would like to get up early the next morning and take a cab over to the the CR.
My question is can I call the front desk from our room the morning of to request a cab?

I'm really looking forward to POP after reading all your comments. I was dis-appointed at first because I couldn't afford a moderate (will miss my coffee pot.LOL) but after reading all this I'm looking forward to POP. never stayed there but you make it sound very fun.:cool1::yay:

If I remember correctly from our stay at POP last year, there will be cabs waiting in the parking lot. I don't think you'll need to call ahead.

Have you looked into a fridge/coffee pot swap? I am not sure what is available for your dates, but might be worth looking into....you may still get your coffee pot. ;)

I have a free week in September and am thinking of jaunting down for a POP Century stay solo. I've never stayed at Pop and have never down in Septemeber, either. I have a transportation question.

If I were to have a late dinner res at, say, the Wave on a day that the MK closes at 8, could I pull it off? How late do busses run? Is it a set time--up to 1hr/3hrs/etc.--after park close? For example, if I finish eating at 9:30 and the MK that day closes at 8, what's the deal? Will there be a bus when I finally get my butt over to the MK at 10 minutes to 10?

(And I imagine my notion of eating late at the Whispering Canyon Cafe gets even less likely.)

I was told buses run 2-3 hours after the park closes. But also if there isn;t any you can bus from the Contempory to DTD and back to Pop then
