We are officialy at our 30 day mark:cool1::cool1::cool1:,we will be danceing Into POP on July the 3rd and eating at Biergarten. I am ready!!!

We will be at POP for our 1st time in 20 days! We have stayed at POR and CBR and are a little nervous about trying POP. It looks great and sounds like you all seem to love it so I hope we feel the same. I just hope it doesn't seem too crowded and noisy. I requested a room facing the lake, so hopefully that helps with the noise. Our 1st night we are going to Chef Mickey's for the 1st time too and it is my DH and my 15th anniversary:lovestruc. Can't wait!:woohoo:

Thanks every one for your advise i just made ADR at Ohana for my last dinner on Friday Dec 3, 2010. It will be my first time inside the Poly. I can wait.

No worries, we are former POR vets,(even If IT was on our frist stay, and our only other resort:sad2: we have stay at WDW :rotfl2:) and for the most part we have never look back. LOve, Love, Love:love: POP the theeming, the Buzz you get from the CM's and just the over all Disney feel you get. Now we love POR to, but compare to POP, POR has such a laid back relaxing feel and for us,right now Its just not us. From the moment you walk through the main Bdg It screams Disney and you become In-gulf with Disney the whole trip. One bus,If you remeber POFQ always getting pick up frist and frist to be drop off, here at POP one stop, pick up and drop off. At night they seem to have one bus after another, the lines look long at the values but at least POP they roll In the Buses. You will have a blast, and If knothing else, you will have another resort that you will love to come back to, have a blast!!:cool1:

I  Pop. My DH has never stayed there with me. I've either stayed there when I traveled solo or with girlfriends. We're going to upgrade to Animal Kingdom Lodge for our 15th wedding anniversary. My DH knows how much I love and miss my Pop. We plan on popping over to Pop one afternoon so I can visit the resort. :lovestruc

We sort of feel that way about POP too. It was the first place we stayed on our first Disney trip together. Now, no matter where we stay or when we go, we always add one last night at POP :)

We are officially going to be at POP in August. We've never stayed at POP before so I am very excited to try it out. I just started my very first PTR, too.

We booked our first stay in at POP and under the 30 day mark now. My dd and I are getting excited. She is a little upset we are not staying where we stayed last time All Star Music FS. We loved it. I heard good things about POP transportation and with it just being the 3 of us, I thought we could use a change. Any tips?

She's going to love it!!:goodvibes
let us know if she, and you, do!!

This will be our 4th straight year at Pop in September! we will be there for 16 days to be able to enjoy all the parks - 1 week is just not enough! We we will be going to MNSSHP and preview the Epcot F&W festival. :thumbsup2:love:

JamieM28, have you done Ohana's for dinner? It's GREAT.. and if you time it right, you can see wishes - and they pipe in the music. Maybe that would be a good way to end your trip?

This is how we always start our trip. After a day of travel we love to relax at the pool then head over to Ohana for dinner and to watch Wishes. If we finish dinner early we stroll down to the Poly beach for the fireworks.

Thank you for this post. I have been debating making the Ohana reservation for our first night. I had planned for us to do a QS, but after spending all day on a plane, we might be pretty hungry. After reading your description of how you start your trip, I couldn't think of a better way. Can you see the fireworks from the restaurant, or do you need to go out onto the beach?

This will be our first trip Dh & I taking our grandaughter 4 and have been so indecisive about where to stay. Too many choices. I am going to commit and do the POP. Thanks

just got back from Pop yesterday, and thought i'd share a couple things.

the rooms in bldg 10 on the 3rd fl. that face the fooseball players and Mickey telephone are being refurb'd the whole side.
i was in bldg 6 in a refurb'd room, looked good, like the new tv's

and a maybe rumor/maybe not,

on the way back from a park the bus driver was telling us that the Non Finished Golden Years part of Pop is going to be torn down and there going to build a new resort there, it will be the Art & Animation Resort [a value resort] and the theme will be the Disney Characters, he said something about starting it or having it finished in 2014.

Definitely not a rumor..........Disney announced this a couple of weeks ago and if you search the boards you will find a few threads talking about it in detail. That information is saying it will start to open in 2012! :yay:

We are really really hoping to visit POP in Nov.13th-20th. Is every room in the 70's buildings preferred? We usually request quiet area away from pool, facing landscape/parking area. If it is preferred we will just go with 80's. My DH & myself grew up in the 70's-80's era. My soon to be 10 yr old DS thinks 80's music is cool:laughing::confused3 Are these rooms renovated now?
