One night when we were stranded at the Contemporary after dinner (MK closed at 8pm and buses had stopped running) we took a cab back. The bus driver that took us to the CR told us if this was the case, to take the taxi receipt to concierge and they'd reimburse us. And they did.?
Wow, thats great! Good to know! :thumbsup2
Next time we are going to stay at one of the monorail resorts. Did you know that the deluxe resorts have softer toilet paper?
That reminds me to bring a roll from home next time @Pop :lmao:

In the booklet it has a list of everything that we get, i.e sea racer voucher, 15$ planet Holleywood voucher and so on, but the one's that are stared (*) is the PH tickets and the $200 voucher. The sea racer voucher is in there and the planet Hollywood and we did get the 30 min. arcade card but the only thing that we did not get a hard copy of voucher is the PH tickets and $200 voucher. does that make sense??
We also received our ME vouchers earlier in another packet. On the first page of the booklet it said, present the hotel voucher at the front desk upon arrival. any other package components included with your vacation plans will be available upon check in at the resort. It sound like everyones is different?!?!

You wouldn't get a voucher for the tickets at all. that is put on with the room key, so my guess is that you will get a voucher at the desk and then have to go redeem it in the gift shop. I do remember when I got one from AAA I was really confused on what to do and no one really gave me much help about it. Like they didn't know either, but being that this is going out to lots of people right now, someone should know the snswer both here and at Pop.

Do you get a special rate or deal or something if you book your next vacation while at Disney? My husband and I are going in March and definitely planning on going back in August, so are we better off booking while we are there?

I just booked our trip to POP! 10/25 - 11/1. Two rooms - one for us, one for SIL with a 40% off code! The only way it could get better is if they extend the 4/3 or offer free dining (we have the dining plan anyway). I can't wait! This will be our second stay at POP.

Sometimes, Disney offers a bounceback offer. If there is one in effect at the time of your visit, there will be a flyer on your resort room table. You must book while you are on property and you must travel during the times stated on the flyer. We had one when we were at the CBR in August but we couldn't use it because the travel times fell during school times.

Kristin,
I always bring a roll from home. :thumbsup2 Last I was at the Contemporary and Poly they still had the cheap rough TP in the public stalls. I remember thinking that with the cost of a room there you would think they would supply a decent roll of TP. :rotfl2: Sounds like that may have changed which is good.

Is Splenda one of the artificial sweeteners available at Pop?

I'm sure I'll have more last-minute ?s, so I hope I don't get on everyone's nerves.

I read this on another thread: (I'm not sure if it's the same for everyone...I would assume so, but you know what they say about assuming...)

Not a problem for me, not a complaint from me, but nonetheless it's a detail I thought future travelers might want to know.

I received my travel documents today for my early February trip. I had always assumed that the $200 gift card was something that would just be handed to me upon check-in. It will be, but ...

Included in the travel documents is a voucher for the free $200 gift card. It states very clearly that the voucher must be presented in order to receive the gift card, and that lost/stolen vouchers will not be replaced or honored.

In other words, if you happen to forget to bring that piece of paper, you don't get the $200 gift card. I'd just assumed the gift card was something you just received when checking-in. After all, you don't need a voucher to get your room, or your park tickets.

So like I said, no big deal, just a surprise, and I thought others would like to be prepared fo this little detail.

But then I also saw this one...
I got worried after reading this post, I don't have a gift card voucher in my travel docs. I called guest services and they assured me if I booked under the Buy 4 Get 3 Free deal, my reservation was coded for the gift card. No voucher necessary, will receive at check-in. Yay!! 11 more days till the Poly!!

So I guess better to be safe than sorry and bring it with you if you do indeed get a voucher. If you don't (or for that matter if I don't) I would call WDW just to play it safe...I wouldn't want to lose out.

Can you see why i am soooo confused?? for eveyone, it is different! I am going to call this morning and I will let you know what they tell me!:confused3

Room requests ?
We leave in 8 days for the groovy POP and I can't remember if I put any room requests on the ressie. Is it too late? Can I call today to put them on? We have the 4/3 pkg. and am looking forward to some warmer weather and celebrating DD bday.

Yes - As a matter of fact, Splenda is pretty much the ONLY sweetner you will find at WDW. I'm a Splenda junkie, so that makes me a happy camper!

Just my opinion, but maybe the $200 voucher will be attached to your room key, like your park tickets. Or it may be a separate WDW gift card type voucher. They wouldn't inculde the actual voucher or gift card in with your packet. In case someone were to cancel their reservation, then they would have the $200 gift card.

I worked for WDW a few years ago in the resorts and at DRC (Disney Reservation Center) and when a vacation package had extra "entitlements", those were given upon check in.

The pictures are great!! We are so excited to see the resort and the park!!

Are the refillable cups worth the money? Some are saying yes, some no

That really depends on you.

The only times we went through the main building were going to/from the parks. I would not want to carry the mug to the parks with me, so I would have had to make extra trips to my room to get the cup to get a drink.

We had a car and had groceries in our room, so we just bought our own sodas. We ate mostly in our room or in the parks. They also don't have Mt. Dew which is the only soda DH drinks.

If you plan to go to the food court a few times a day to eat, than it would be worth the money. For us, it wasn't.

OK, I called WDW today and they told me that I would receive my $200 gift card at check in. I did not need a voucher. Why do we all have something different?? I am going to just trust what that gentleman told me and wait till checkin! :crazy2:

Thank you for the information...I knew I just had to go to page one to get the answer about the internet. I don't like the answer - that's crazy expensive, but it was there, and now I know I won't be going online with my pics or trip report till the trip is over!

We are just a little over a week away from Disney and warm weather! Can't wait to check out Pop...and see DD's reaction to everything!
Thanks to al of you for the great info!
