Not sure if the water is hot, but you can always microwave it - which answers your other question ;) use of the microwave is free... ::yes::

Any by the way.. :welcome: to the DIS!!

I just wanted to join the group as my DD and I will be heading to Pop Century in 2010! I know --- I plan way too far in advance, but being a single mom, I have to have at least 1 year to save up the money for the vacation. And besides, we just got back from our Disney Trip from Dec 3 through 15th. I just wanted to say you all are amazing posters and I've learned sooooo much already! Yes, I've read all 46 pages of this thread.....hahahaha!:rotfl2:

Yeah! Thats the flyer. IMO, since it is a package booking (room and tickets) that the cancellation policy is 45 days prior to arrival. Thanks for finding it!!!

If you are going to Pop (or any other WDW Resort) you might want to keep this offer in mind, as long as it is still being offered. Its a pretty good deal. But you must book before you check out, they do check your current reservation to confirm you are a guest at a resort when you book. But you can always call the 407 # on the flyer and ask what the policies are on that offer even if you are not on WDW property. Just can't book.

Okay, I stayed at POP last month with my family, I just planned another trip to POP for September with my Mom and Sis, I'm sure this has been asked before...but has anyone used a blow up mattress before in the rooms? We fit a pack and play no problem but just curious to see if anyone has done this before? Do you have to pack it up every day so mousekeeping doesn't see it? I was just thinking if I could have my own bed, it may be worth bringing...thoughts??:confused3

Hey POP-ers.
Have any of you used the laundry facilities at the resort? If so, how busy is it usually?

We're going in just about 2 weeks, but figured we'd take a break mid-week and do a load of laundry to save on our packing.

Thanks!!

I did laundry twice on our last March trip. I did it in the AM while DH and DD were still sleeping ( can you imagine ...sleeping in while at Disney UGH!!!) It was never busy. I used the one behind petals bar.

I'm not sure what you mean about large sundaes, but IMHO the primo place for that is Ghiradelli in DTD... The Plaza also has them in MK.

I've senn pictures and heard others talk in the past about an awesome sundae they have and it can be gotten with a snack credit.

Question about smoking

Just realized that apparently you are allowed to smoke on the Disney property. Do the restaurants have smoking sections? Can you smoke in public places? Here we have no smoking in restaurants, bars, public places(parks, malls etc) and they even passed no smoking in your car with kids law that went into effect today. I just never thought when I make ADR's that I need to state "no-smoking section" or when I book my room "non-smoking".

I may need to call and re-book and change/verify some details

All Disny hotles and buildings are non smoking. Ther is designated outside spots at each resort and through out the parks.

They won't fit between the bed, but I think others have used them by the window, or by moving the table out of the way.

YES YES YES!! Did this last summer and it was huge and delicious!!

Where at in the food court are they sold? Is it only certain times?

It's over on the side by the hand scooped ice cream....where the cookies and cake are now. :) Next to where the bar used to be..clear as mud?? ;)

I never saw icecream, but I know where the bar used to be. Is it facing a different way than most of the other counterservice counters? Di you have to go around or did you order it right there at the hot station...if it's where I'm thinking there mihgt've been like a burger place there?

The burger place is next door in the main food court area, I think. This is on the corner, on the same side as where the bar was. I ordered at the counter there.

They moved the cookies over to this side...I had no idea they made sundaes or that is was a snack credit! Somone ahead of me ordered it, so I asked. ::yes::

I don't remember cookies before. I wonder if that is new, or if I just didn't see them. i'm usually on a mission when I go to get something. LOL!

I'm getting wishy washy now. I've had it in my head that I want to go on the Disney cruise this year. DH won;t book yet as it's "too early" in his opinion. Which means if it's not the last possible second then it's too early. So now the lower cat.s on the cruise are filling up, so the price will be higher...and I keep thinking how I really love WDW too. So not sure if I may switch gears and head off to the world again or do the cruise. I know DD LOVES The world, but I am sure she will love the "boat" too.

When we were there in 9/07 - you could get the sundae as a dessert with your CS meal too. I don't know if that's changed though. You would just tell them at the counter that you were going to get a sundae and they would charge it, then you could take your receipt to the counter after you were done eating. I think there was a time limit though - maybe within an hour?

Cookies used to be where the Ty Dye Cheesecake was - now, I think, in the evening, those are on the side.

I'd be going crazy waiting to book  esp with a cruise b/c the best prices and cabins go first!!! Never too early to book a cruise with the discounts being offered. Good luck!!

p.s. When I got the sundae last August it was as a snack to go. The CM's were so nice - they explained all the options - which were great!

Thanks! I was thinking, might as well book such a good deal if there is one available, and decide later if I want to keep it...is that wrong, should I not hold a spot if I'm not sure?

Wow that was a great offer!! We just stayed at CSR a week or so ago - just a 40% off rr offer... Not worth booking at the time for us... I would have booked in a heartbeat if I could have gotten those rates!

As for the air mattress - we used one last year at CSR. We put it between the two beds at night and the up between one bed and the wall the next am. It was never a problem.
