Yes I am Sue ! It's wired as a previous poster mentioned. They supply an ethernet wire in the room if you need it. We bring our own though.

It sounds like since they changed the matresses, everyone is complaining about the beds

jenseib.....do u know when they switched them ? I know some people who prefer very firm beds.....I'm just not one of them.

The CM's were power scrubbing and then power washing the walkways today. I've never seen cement power "scrubbed" before ?

I think they switched last fall some time. I know it's been since I was there in march. But it seems to me like it was during free dining.

Thanks jenseib We were last here at POP in Aug and sort of felt they were a bit firm then too. But it was only a 1 night stay as we were simply fugitives from tropical storm Faye and on-the-run from VB resort (who were sold out for the night).

Quick question is there a spot to secure a laptop with one of those locking security cables like to a desk or somewhere? Wanting to take the laptop to download photos off the cameras at night but want a way to secure it in the room.

Unless it is very large, you can put it in the safe in the room.

pdmedic, they have the measurement of the safe deposit box in the first post here! We also thought of bringing our laptop but decided to go out and buy several sd memory cards they were very cheep and we wont have to worry about where to store the laptop when we are at the park and the last day when we check out of our room and then go to the park for the rest of the day!

I don't think a laptop could fit inside the safe unless you had a very small one. We've had ours in the room (as in below pic) for 4 days now. So this is where I'm sitting right now......

We just stayed at Pop in November. We would put our laptop in the carrying case and put that case in the suitcase. We didn't have a problem.

We did the same thing at WL and POFQ and didn't have an issue.

I just updated my signature with count downs for our coming trips. We have 3 coming in the next year!!

We weren't planning on going back this month, but everything just lined up properly for a quick last-minute trip! To save money we will not be staying on Disney property. We're staying at the LBV Comfort Inn near Downtown Disney for $32/night. Hope it isn't scary....

We'll be back at the Pop in September for Free Dining. Hurray!!

Hi everyone! We're thinking of staying at Pop on our next trip in May 2010. We stayed at ASMo in August 2008 and really enjoyed it. But, we want to try something new this time. I'm going to go back and read some more on this thread now!

I've put my laptop in the safes at Pop Century on 4 different trips in 4 different bldgs and it fit just fine. My laptop is not small either. It's a wide screen so it's actually a little bigger than a lot of laptops.

In an earlier post it was noted that the wall safe would hold up to a 15" monitor laptop. I'll have to look for the post.

a small safe is built inside the wall in your room near the vanity
approximately 4" deep x 12" wide x 14" tall, which fits most 15" laptops
safe opens/locks with a traditional key
if larger space is need, go to Registration Guest Services in the Lobby of Classic Hall, and they’ll likely be able to lock it up for you

I called about the king room today and was told that all king rooms were handicapped. I asked was he sure as I had read that some were not and he said yes they were. Guess I will just ask at check-in.

We got back from Pop last weekend. I loved it! We were there with the record low temps, but hey, we were still at WDW, right? I loved how close our building was to the food court and bus areas! We have stayed at All Star Music two times and I felt we had MUCH shorter walks to the food and bus at Pop. I would be happy to stay at Pop again anytime!

That's a great question. I hope someone with experience knows.

I don't recall if the post that I quoted in Post #1 regarding the front desk locking up items requiring more space included the idea electronic equipment or if that person had experience with something less valuable.

If we get clarity, I'll certainly ensure the language in Post #1 is clearly stated.

If the computer is bigger than average it won't fit but a standard sized one will fit in the room safe.

Checked out today.....on the way out, ran into maintenance CM. He was doing work in our room as well as others up and down our hall. I noticed air filters being replaced. He got to chatting with me. Told me POP was scheduled for a big rehab starting the end of this year. I asked if he knew specifics and he just said, "some new stuff". He also told me work on the Legendary Years looks like it could resume in 18 months or so and there was talk of them being DVC suites.


New refillable mugs were stocked on the shelves this morning. I snapped a pic but haven't uploaded yet. They are red with a "celebrate" theme (Mickey/Goofy on them).
Well.....I'm home and trying to come off a vacation high. It was a gorgeous day today and just figured it was the best day of our entire 6 day stay ----we had to leave People were in the Bowling pin pool at 10 am today.
