I think the new HIPPA law - (medical information privacy act) probably prevents them from asking about medical conditions. It is always your option to offer that information though
Just got our ME luggage tags...only 39 days until my husband and kiddos first trip and our first stay onsite at the POP...I can not wait.
I'll tell you something, I went in September one year and holy crap! It was ridiculous. You would walk out of your room and they'd be lying there on the ground. Cast members would be sweeping them up/spraying them up with the hose. One day walking into the Magic Kingdom there were swarms of them. They just flew right into you.
In the Magic Kingdom or any of the parks themselves was fine for some reason but outside and in the resorts, wow. It didn't last all week though. It was only REALLY bad for a couple of days and it barely ruined our vacation.
I had a quick question. I was looking at staying here from june 8-12th since it is a value resort. Is this a good resort to stay at for people without kids? I'm 23 & my other traveler is 29!
We've been lucky I guess- Not once have we ever encountered Love Bugs! I've been in January, March, July, August, Sept, Nov & Dec

I've been reading this board for the last few weeks (during my lunch hour at work!) and love all the great info - and I think I have found the answer to most of my questions - the last time we were at WDW was in 2003 and we were off property. This year we are staying at POP the 1st week of July - and its the first time we have booked a package - my question is, when you leave a park in the afternoon and want to return that night, what do you do? Do they stamp your hand? Am I that far behind the times at Disney?
thanks, it's been six years since we were at Disney and I think things have changed alot since we were there last.

I don;t think they stamped hands since either the 80's or early 90's. I know in the mid 90's we didn't get stamped. (at least I don;t remember it. LOL, but as my youngest DD tells me all the time, I am getting old) now you just use your card/ticket to reenter. But if you go in and out and re enter with in a short period of time it will not OK you to back in. My sister did this in Jan. She went in and then had to go back out to go to Guest services and when she tried to go back in it denied her. The CM told her that it was becuase it was too soon after she went back in (like 15 minutes or something.) But they let her in. I think they flag that so you aren't passing off your pas to someone else to use.
Definately - DH and I love POP, just as much as the kids. Now if it only had a jacuzzi I'd be in heaven, lol!
okay, so I haven't totally lost all my brain cells to my kids - I thought there might have been hand stamping involved; so is everything on one card? meal plans, and do you use that for your fast passes too?
thanks so much for the info; card passes sound so much more convenient than paper tickets, etc.
It is! It's really convenient so that you don't have to carry a wallet, credit card, room key, Disney Dollars (if you have any left over), pass to the parks, etc).
It's also magical when you attach a credit card to it... when your vacation is over, your bank account is drained of money!![]()
Each person in your party has their individual ticket on their card. If you were to get fast passes, then you would scan each person's card for your passes. As for dining, the two adults in our party had the meal plan's on their card and either card could be used, but it would take the meals off of both. For instance if we had 20 CS meals and I used 2 at one restaurant and my DH used 2 at another restaurant, both cards would reflect that we had 16 CS meals total left. I hope this makes sense. You can also attach a credit card to your room key/park tickets / meal card and then you can have charging priviledges at the stores in the parks too.![]()
