Has anyone here done the Grocery Game? I just found the website and it looks interesting but before I commit I'd like to know if it really does save you money and how much?? :confused3

I use it, but not exclusively. Each week I only buy about 10 - 20 things on the list. Mostly things that are not coupon dependent and only brands I use regularly. I am not one to buy a different brand just because I have a coupon for it.

On Tuesday, went to the store. Wrote a check for $113.00 with a savings of 42% or $78.00. And the only reason it was 42% and not 50% is because I did buy a few things not on sale that I needed.

It takes a bit of time to get into the rhythm, but when you play the game that everything goes on sale once every 12 weeks - when something goes on sale, you stock up on it. By the time you have done it for 12 weeks, you can start seeing the full benefits.

I know search doesn't work great these days but we've had many, many threads about the grocery game over on the budget board. I personally use it and LOVE it! You could theoretically do the same thing yourself but they compare the flyer, sales and coupons for you and it's soooo easy.

I did it for a while and didn't feel like it was worth it. I sit and do my research every sunday and that works for me and its free
