The Greatest Trip There Ever Was!

I love The Wave! I still can't get over the fact that it's where the food court and arcade used to be! I didn't care for the bread and butter either though.

Ahhh..the MK during the evening. :cloud9: The way the sunset colors up the sky.

Haha, your Space pic is hilarious. I can't wait to show you ours!

Oh my gosh, I loved watching Little Guy's reaction to the parade. I bet Landon was just as cute!

The Wave looks really interesting, I ALWAYS comment on how cool the enterence looks! I think I'd want to eat there, only because of the enterence haha
I love the video of Landon and how he says Disney!

So glad to hear that The Wave ended up being much more than you expected. We've never eaten there but I am thinking it may be a possibility next trip.

I loved the pictures of Landon watching the nighttime parade. Isn't it wonderful seeing Disney through your child's eyes?!?!

Go there, get the beef tenderloin and you wil be set! :thumbsup2 So good!!
I love Disney though Landon's eyes...it simply amplifies the magic!

We are going to prepurchase the photopass cd. That is so cool that they throw in some parade pics!

Awesome!! Prepurchase is the way to go!!

wow i had like 5 updates to read, they were all good and great pictures so way to go.
:thumbsup2

very nice face on space mountain:laughing:

 I know, I was just ready to get this day all wrapped up finally!!

Yeah...I make some special faces sometimes. Have you seen that weird pink deformed Yoshi on Mario Party? I think its called Birdie or something? That's what my face reminds me of in that last Space pic.

Hi Kimmy!

I am loving your TR...you remind me of...well ME, when my son was little.

He's 17 now. :sad1:

I think its so cool you and your friends went together to take Landon...those are special memories in the making for sure. :thumbsup2

Waiting (im)patiently for more! popcorn::

Hey!! Thanks for dropping in!!!

Kids grow up too fast!! I hate thinking about it!! I want him to stay my little baby forever!! (Though a part of me is excited to see him grow up and see the person he turns out to be!)

I bet those boys would! :rolleyes1 But what if they wanted to go on Stitch? Could you say that to one of them?? :lmao:

Haha I would go on Stitch a million times in a row if I was sitting in between Nick and Brian. :rotfl2:

I can't imagine how Disney has changed through the years!! I'm excited to start going every year and now in a few years I'll be able to say stuff like you and be like "I remember when Fantasyland was just itty-bitty and they had Toon Town over there!"

I'm in love with MK in the evening too!! So gorgeous!! Plus, it cools down so much!!

The Wave looks really interesting, I ALWAYS comment on how cool the enterence looks! I think I'd want to eat there, only because of the enterence haha
I love the video of Landon and how he says Disney!

You have to go there!! I think you would like more than just the entrance! :rotfl: I love that video too!

I love al of your pp pics!! They are so cute!! I always wondered if taking young kids to Disney would be worth it, seeing all of Landons expressions proves it is. :)

Awww, what a perfect night! That poster for Be Our Guest looks amazing!! It's my absolute FAVORITE movie-- I've always thought they should have more BATB stuff in the parks! I wonder what kind of food they're going to have.
Watching Landon enjoy the parade must have been amazing-- you're such a sweet mommy!! Glad that he enjoyed it so much!

Hey Kimmy! I was updating my TR within my PTR (confusing I know...) and one of the pics reminded me of the one where Landon was licking the cup...you should check it out (wink wink nod nod...lol) and who I am no say no to more readers. LOL

What's funny is I think of Nick and Brian as the BSB eqivalent of Joey and Jordan. We have good taste. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: I remember your boy band formula!!

Thanks!! I totally think it's worth it bringing a young kid to Disney!!

Thanks!! It was perfect!!! I'm glad they are having more stuff for BatB!! Its my favorite, too!! I'm so excited for it to be released from the vault next month!! I can't wait to try it!!

I will have to go look!!

Meow :goodvibes Isn't it funny what kids will say in order to try to keep themselves up after an exciting day? It is hard not to laugh cause if you do then they feel encouraged & get even sillier.

I have been pretty iffy on whether I want to try out The Wave while we are down there, DBF is such a picky eater I am not sure he will enjoy it...then again I might just be paranoid :lmao: I wish that the Be Our Guest restaurant was something open now, that looks like a great place!! Guess I will have to plan another trip at some point in the next few years :goodvibes

read the lot tonight and am really enjoying your trippie x
Cant wait to hear more !

Kids crack me up!! I love his silliness, though it did get semi-frustrating at times when we were exhausted after a long day!!

I thought I wouldn't like it, but it was the BEST meal I've ever had. Seriously, truly last meal worthy. The bread and dessert are not worth not trying. And everyone else I have ever met have liked the dessert. I'm just weird.

I can't wait for the Be Our Guest restaurant!!

UPDATE NEXT!!

We woke up with the wonder from our Magic Kingdom day still dancing through our veins. We were very excited anticipating another magical day, this time in the Animal Kingdom!! (P.S. Meghan, look closely!! You have the shirt I wore this day in different colors!! It’s the one from Aero!)

We got there like 5 minutes after the park opened. No big deal. We headed straight for the safari. Steph and Dustin were digging the jungle-y look of the park. I think it’s funny whenever someone goes for the first time and/or has done no research. Both my parents last year and my friends this year thought the whole park was going have jungle fever. LOL! Nope…only at first.

Anywho, we got in line for Kilamanjaro Safaris!! The wait was not long at all. 10-15 minutes, max.

100_1253.jpg

Look how cute the boys are with their hair cuts!! We got on our jeep in no time and were off on our safari.

100_1258.jpg

Okay…I must confess…I took no pictures of the animals. Steph and Dustin took TONS and TONS and I deleted them. For me, the safari is about enjoying how sweet it is to feel like you’re out there on the safari, because to me…all the pictures look just like ones I could get from the zoo!! I mean, all those animals can be found at the zoo, the cool part is being out with them roaming around. I just don’t get the pictures. Maybe I’m just weird though.

We don’t have these trees at my zoo though…

Of course, midway through the ride, Landon wanted to transfer from Dustin to me and then to next to me. Cutie. I love that kid.

After we safely recovered the elephant-napped baby elephant and returned from our safari, a lovely cast member snapped our photo by this jeep. Lovely.

Naturally, when we got off, we saw the Tree of Life and HAD to take pictures!!

There were some drums nearby and Landon went to town. He LOVED them. My little boy knows how to rock.

We started making our way towards Asia so we could conquer EXPEDITION EVEREST!!! I was so excited.

We saw Flik, Baloo, and King Louie all leaving, but didn’t want to wait for them to come back. We were just enjoying all the fun sights and sounds on our trek to Asia. It was just nice not to be in such a hurry. Plus, we were all a little sleepy and so we weren't too chatty yet. It was quite relaxing!

100_1345.jpg

Who knew ancient ruins could make such a good back drop?!

We decided to separate and I went to go get fast passes by myself, while the three of them went to Marahajah Trek (sp?). I TRIED to sneak in an extra ride on the single riders line…but it wasn’t moving at all. So I got out. Oh well. I had my fast passes so I was set. (Oh…and I kinda messed up our fast passes. I had somehow mixed up our cards and had gotten two valid ones and then one invalid one, because I guess I tried to use one ticket twice. I didn’t realize until after I got out of the single rider line, so the return times were about 10 minutes apart.)

I was thankful to be able to skip the bats because of our separation, but here’s Steph’s pic with them!
100_1363.jpg

We met back up and were hot and thirsty. We decided to get something from Royal Anapadur Tea!! I think that’s what it’s called and I know I’m way off on the spelling!! I just love how seriously they take the themeing. Seriously…we all know Disney goes above and beyond on themeing, but I think that Animal Kingdom is BEYOND above and beyond. I love how they have little fabric cupboard covers instead of doors and stuff. It just fits so well. I almost forgot I was in Orlando. Anywho… Dustin got a frozen lemonade, Steph got some fancy tea thing that she loved and I hated, and I got a delicious frozen mango thing. It was really sweet, without going overboard. I LOVED it. We all loved it. We just sat right next to the little kiosk and enjoyed our beverages.

Can I just say I get the whole paper straw thing they do for animal safety and what not…but seriously…it’s possibly the WORST invention EVER when you have a toddler. Their excess of drool and unnecessary sucking and what not cause the straws to deteriorate at lightning speed. And of course, by the time you realize this, the little hooligan realizes how delicious the beverage is and you cannot pull it away from them. (Side note: I am being SLIGHTLY dramatic about this. It really wasn’t that big of a deal at all, just a slight annoyance.)

Landon fell asleep and we wondered around gift shops afterward. We were trying to stay in the area, because we didn’t have long until we could get more fast passes for Kali River Rapids and we didn’t want to start going way across to the other side of the park and then come all the way back just for fast passes and then go all the way back to the other side again waiting for them to be active. We got some cute shots while we waited!!

DSC00501.jpg

Eventually, we were able to get more fast passes at Kali. We were literally standing next to the machines a few minutes before just waiting for our time to open up. And of course, because of my little screw up earlier, we had to wait another ten minutes after that. Landon woke up while we were waiting for our fast passes and we were all just aching to get a move on already!!
We finally did and ended up going to the Nemo show!! We just needed to get out of that hot, Asian-I mean Floridian sun!! haha. We got up real close, I think we were 3 or 4 rows back. Landon loved the bubbles and how Nemo would swim by sometimes.

DSC00502.jpg

DSC00505.jpg

He sat by the stairs when he got bored of the bubbles. He loves to sit on stairs for some reason.
DSC00503.jpg

He went and played by the bubbles some more and then when they gave the pre-show spiel overhead, I made him sit back down. This is how he took it:
DSC00506.jpg

(Does it make me a bad mother that sometimes I like to take pictures of his little tantrums because I think he’s little sad/upset face is so cute? Haha.)

He got over his little tantrum as soon as the show started and was enthralled the entire way through. More enthralled than Dustin, who fell asleep part way through. He claims that he was only asleep for a second and really enjoyed it. Haha. Silly Dustin.

The good news is we did end up finding Nemo. The bad news is, after I sent Dustin and Steph to get Dinosaur fast passes while I got the stroller and they could not find it. So I had to go with them to get them, but eventually, we acquired those fast passes too.

So, for those of you who have been keeping count, we know have three fast passes each!! And it was finally time for Expedition Everest!! Would anything go wrong or would we ride one of the greatest rides ever without a problem?! Stay tuned!!

Hey Kimmy! Great update once again! I love AK and don't get how some people don't like it! Your descriptions were spot on. The detail there just amazes me! It makes me even more excited for our December trip since we skipped it on our last few short trips.

Love all the pics from Nemo! What is it with kids sitting on stairs? I have never met a kid that didn't love it! Nemo is something else that will be a must do this trip, since we haven't been since Olivia was 15 months old. Festival of the Lion King is our must see every trip to AK, we just love it! Hopefully you guys caugt a showing of it!

Can't wait to see how you used all those awesome fastpasses!!!

The picture of Landon sitting next to you on the safari is really cool, I like how the background is moving but you two are clear as day. :thumbsup2

Thats awesome that Landon liked the Nemo show, I want Conner to see it SO bad but my mom is insisting on seeing the Lion King and I doubt he will sit for two shows. Oh well, theres always next year!;)

post more post more!!popcorn::

this was our first year seeing the nemo show we skipped it thinking it would not be that good in past years...but it was really good we did enjoy it, different from so many other shows there.

I saw the Nemo show when it first came out but haven't seen it since. Maybe this trip. I remember all the kids yelling 'There he is!' everytime they saw Nemo. It was cute...at first. After you hear it 100 times while waiting for the show to start, it gets a little old.

I have a pic of my sister playing those drums with a safari hat on. :lmao: She was so into it!

I love that tank top (that's why I bought it in 2 colors)! It's so comfy.

What a great morning at AK! I need to get myself a frozen cappuccino when I'm there.

You can totally embarrass Landon when he's older with the tantrum pics!!

You can tell Steph I love her shirt-- super cute.
Landon looks adorable banging on the drums-- what a little rock star!
Nice strategizing with the three Fastpasses!

Love all your pictures from AK. You guys picked out cute backdrops to pose in front of!

Aww Landon is so cute rocking out on the drums!
