YAY for the Beach Club! I feel as if my little sniffer hasn't done enough work smelling the smells of Disney. Maybe I will have to see about staying at the Beach Club on my next trip just for this godly smell.

That's awesome you got one of those RFID scanners. I forget if I used those in NYC or Quebec, but they really are so cool. And your room is gorgeous! I love the little seashell pillows, reminds me of the cottages down in Cape Cod.

AHHH! This is so exciting! I'm getting excited here just WAITING for you to get the show on the road. I think I need a Disney vacation. Now.

That Springhill Suites breakfast looks miserable. I always hated those 'free continental breakfasts' because everytime we have one, it makes us sick for the rest of the day.

The Beach Club looks beautiful! I've heard the same thing about the smell, and I also know that they pump cotton candy scents out of the vents near Mainstreet Bakery, if you didn't already know that. Love the hidden Mickeys in your room!

I know, it was SO exciting finally being there! I agree- you do need a Disney vacation! I think we all do!

Yeah, it was so nasty. If we would have paid for that I would not have been happy.

I really wish I could just buy all the great stuff you posted that has Hidden Mickey's. I love the beach balls one. I feel like it's discreet enough that if my friends saw it in my own beach house, they wouldn't know right away what a big freak I was. Flounder might give it away though. Even the ones on the pillow...I LOVE classy, perfect Disney stuff. Of course Disney can make the nicest hotels sooooooo magical without being the least bit tacky. SO PERFECT!!

YAY, finally the Beach Club!!!

Is it weird not using the valet parking or something? Because Brandon and I don't use it either, he doesn't even drop me off to check in, we just park and both walk 10 miles to check in. Then of course we have to walk another 10 miles back to the car, get all of our stuff, and walk another 10 miles to the room. I never really thought anything of it, I just assumed that's what most people do! But I guess they have valet for a reason?

Isn't the Beach Club smell the best? Every time I walked in there, I inhaled SO deeply, it is so pretty! I don't know what it is either, but I'm sure it's something from Heaven.

Your room is amazing!!! See, if we had a room like that to begin with, with a king bed and the sink, I would have been fine (well, except for the noise that made us switch rooms anyway) but our room was just so weird, it didn't make any sense! Your room is perfect! I love the Beach Club so much...now I'm wishing I was staying there in November!

I am so glad you went to DTD on your first night! That is like a tradition for us too! And we always eat at WPE! I love their pizzas so much!!! I want one now! I have to say though that I never seem to get to walk through all the stores. I don't think I have ever been in the Art of Disney store. I stayed at the Beach Club back in 2005 and it is definitely my favorite resort of all time. I love the theming and the atmosphere and its proximity to Epcot and DHS! But I am going to try to stay in a different resort every time I go so I can basically say that I stayed in every resort on Disney property lol. But I hope you enjoy the resort as much as I did and I am excited to hear all about it

Angel wing dust and heaven rain. LOL. Accurate! I can't pick what smell I love better: the Beach Club, Grand Floridian, The Land, or the Disney water smell of the Polynesian/POTC/Splash, etc. The great thing is... I don't have to choose!

I was loving the beach theme! It was all so cool! I'm like you, I love beach/nautical stuff too! I like to pretend that I have a beach house and fill my home (which is 200 miles from the beach) with random beach-y things.

ugh I love the Beach Club poor Spring Hill hotel will never live up to the Beach Club That breakfast was just sad. Disney breakfast practicly bulldozes that attempt. Heck I would eat anything if it was DISNEY anything

Great update, I love the Beach Club too! I read on here that the fragrance Sea Island Cotton from the Bath & Body Works smells very similar to that wonderful Beach Club smell!

Yep! She is a maltipoo! Aww that's so cool that you have one too! I'd love to see a picture! Wow, black is really rare! Both of my girls are maltipoos, and they actually came from the same litter. Their mother was this really cool brown color, so Bella (the one pictured) is a little bit brown, but her sister Vida is a really pretty blonde color. I love my babies!

The Beach Club looks so good! DH and I love the beach. So this is a place we would love to stay at some day. I keep hearing about the smell that the Beach Club has. I want to go just to smell it! We leave in about 2 weeks for our Disney Vacay! I am so excited!!!

"Good Vibrations"- The Beach Boys​

July 8, 2012​

I’m pickin’ up good vibrations...​

Ready for more Beach Club room pictures? I hope so! I thought a Beach Boys song would be an appropriate accompaniment, since they are the masters of all things beachy.

Here’s our balcony! I was so excited that we got a full balcony! It was wonderful sitting out there everyday!

And here’s our view from the balcony!

I realized later that even though all you could see was trees beyond our balcony, we were actually like right across from Epcot, because we could hear the music playing in the WS and we were able to see the fireworks at night! It was awesome!

Back inside, I had more pictures to take!

Look at that lamp! AHH. I wanted it so badly.

Here’s our bathroom, complete with beautiful wallpaper!

And our bathtub!

I was PUMPED.

Seriously, we were like kids in a candy shop. We were racing around the room freaking out about everything.

“Honey, look at THIS!”

That was pretty much us for about ten minutes. We paused long enough for a balcony picture!

As I was racing through the room again I finally noticed our Mickey towel!

YAY! Hotel room sensory overload!!

Finally we calmed down enough to realize that in our haste we had not, in fact, gotten everything out of the car. I had left my toiletry bag in the backseat, which is the most important thing that I did NOT want to leave in the sun for an extended period of time, so we headed back to the car.

We made it back to the room again, and went spent some time unpacking. Well, I unpacked while John sat on the balcony. I love unpacking as soon as I get to Disney, partially because I’m OCD but also because it makes me feel like I actually live there!

It didn’t take me long, and I was really proud of us because after everything we had already accomplished that morning, it was only 9:09!

Can you believe that? I feel like the Disney gods had pressed the pause button for our first morning in Disney, because time was going SO slowly, which never happens on a Disney Vacation!

It was time to get out and explore!

"(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay"- Otis Redding

After being at Disney the night before and that morning without going to a park, I think it’s safe to assume that I was getting really anxious. I NEEDED to be in a park. It had to happen, like, immediately. So, which park do you go to when you are staying at the Beach Club and you want to get there fast?

ANIMAL KINGDOM, DUH.

Haha, just kidding! We were going to Epcot, of course! But first, we had to do some resort exploring! On our way out of the room, I took a picture of our fancy schmancy RFID door thingy.

Let’s hear it, left side of the audience. “Oooooh...” And now right side? “Ahhhh...” I know, it’s super exciting. Still, I felt pretty privileged to have a chance to try the new technology. Keep moving forward!

On our walk to the lobby I quickly came to the conclusion that the Beach Club has the most beautiful decor I’ve ever seen. Specifically, the accent chairs and light fixtures.

LOOK! A place to play checkers!

I love that Disney adds these extra little touches, even though I seriously cannot think of a single time that I’ve been at Disney World and thought, “Hmmm, there is literally nothing to do here. I sure wish I could play some checkers.” I guess they’re planning for everything!

We decided to stop in the gift shop and food court area just to get acquainted with where everything was located.

We passed through pretty quickly, figured out where everything was, and headed back the other way. That’s when I saw my first light fixture that I obsessed over.

I could've wandered around the lobby all day, but we were both anxious to get to Epcot so we headed outside!

I see Stormalong Bay!

I was SO excited to swim in that pool!

John saw Hurricane Hanna’s and made a mental note to get himself a nice adult beverage there later in the week. If you didn’t know, Hurricane Hanna’s is the poolside bar and grill at Stormalong Bay. They serve sodas, beer, mixed drinks, and some light fare.

There’s the beautiful, gorgeous sand bottom pool! I had to resist the urge to run back to the room and put on my bathing suit!

There’s the lighthouse! That’s the dock you go to if you want to take a friendship boat to DHS or Epcot! Although I don’t see why anyone staying at Beach Club, Yacht Club, or the Boardwalk wouldn’t just walk to Epcot, but that’s just me!

I love those beautiful sandy beaches! John was slightly offended that he wasn’t allowed to swim in that water. You would think the nice layer of green scum coating the entire service would dissuade him, but no.

Seriously, the Beach Club is the perfect resort in my opinion. It just has this amazing relaxed feel to it, and it is so perfectly themed. I really felt like I was on a relaxing beach vacation every time I was there. Coming back to the Beach Club after a long park day was indescribable. It was the absolute perfect way to unwind. That’s why I chose the Otis Redding song for this part of the update. It kind of makes me think of that relaxing BC atmosphere!

Anyway, back to exploring. I was so excited!

After dragging John all over the place to see every last nook and cranny of the Beach Club, I was finally ready to walk to Epcot!

If you’ve never stayed at an Epcot resort, it literally takes like three minutes to walk to Epcot via the international gateway. It was so amazing!

Plus, it’s such a beautiful path!

Within just a few minutes, we were going through the bag check at Epcot and it was time for me to use this bad boy for the first time EVER!

I was so in love with it too! It was seriously the most perfect hotel room we've ever stayed in! I still can't believe how quickly we got everything done! It was so nice having the entire day ahead of us!

Your room is really lovely! And that balcony! How cool that y'all could see the EPCOT fireworks & hear the music.

I'm the same way - I like to unpack as soon as we get to the room. I feel like I'm not allowed to start having fun until that's done.

Thank you! We were so happy with our room! I was so surprised when I realized we could see the fireworks! That was such an awesome added bonus!

That is EXACTLY how I feel! I can't imagine getting out and going to parks until I've unpacked! I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that!

I totally know what you mean about the Beach Club. I could explore there, and at many of the other resorts, all day. If the parks were closed I wouldn't even be mad. And being able to walk to Epcot is just... there are no words. To quote my queen Stacey, "How cool is THAT, RIGHT?"

Love that resort! I'm pretty sure I will need to stay there next trip. My kids would LOVE that pool.

I need one of those nice slow Disney pause days next week! I am already worried that it will go by too fast!

Yay, another TR update!! Yes, DH and I would love to stay at the Beach Club resort! We are total beach bums. I didn't realize that it was so close to Epcot! It is so cool that you can walk to Epcot. We are planning to go back to Disney in the spring of next year. So I will definitely look into staying at the Beach Club resort. When we go in two weeks we plan to make Epcot our first park too. Can't wait to read what happens next on your vacay

I may be letting my geek flag fly here but I love seeing the picture of the RFID thing on the door. So exciting!

You are really making me excited for our trip to get here with all of your pretty pictures of BC. The first night we're going to just hang out at the pool & I think we'll grab a quick bite to eat at Hurricane Hanna's. The pool looks great!

I can't get over how white & pretty the sand is on the beach!
