I do not agree it is greed. For many of the posters here give even rare things away to help the kids.

I know I would be awesomely rich by now if I did not give away so much. But a viritual haunted mansion clock gives more joy to a kid who is suffering from cancer than in my inventory. A brand new room full of rare items to a kid that needs to know more disney love and magic.

Many kids on my list consider me their best friend why. Because I take the time to talk to them and listen. And also when they are struggling to get some items way over priced I care to help.

To kids who lost their account and helping parents refill it. To kids who got scammed because VMK is not good at fixing this. To help them start again.

Is it greed to want something for all the effort and credits you put into it.
No, Many of us use our credits and items to bring joy to others.

As we saw on Dis when people got left out of the competition many many people showed up to donated prizes.

And if any were like me they have enough prizes for a few years lol.

So it is not greed, it is something that everyone is looking for while playing VMK a little of the Disney experience the disney magic.

Wouldn't it have been awesome if we all got the orginal prizes and the winners got a different color jacket so we would still know the winners.

Wouldn't VMK been such a happy place of everyone really proud of what they did.

And even now we are still called non winners. Even Disney believed we all were winners.

So no it is not greed but I refuse to be called a non winner. And if anything I am not greedy !!!!!!!!!

Sorry for causing the uproar...I was just trying to understand the "Entitlement" that VMK players THINK they have.. It was NOT meant to be a PERSONAL attack on anyone.
I am not saying that I AGREE it was OK for VMK to switch the prizes, just that it didn't surprise me and if any of you have been playing as long as I have shouldn't have been either...it does really stink for the kids that play this game I agree, that is the main reason my 10 year old is NOT allowed to play the game.
I was mearly trying to point out that no matter what VMK DOES give us there are MANY that always want MORE.
It is just a game and I don't see why it should be the cause of so much anger and stress when there is so many other things going on in this world that those feelings could be used for.
So that being said, if you all feel that it is human nature to be greedy and argue about every little thing that comes or does not come out than I don't think this is the right place for me because it just does not matter enough to me to get all worked up over. I used to come here as a place to find out what was happening on VMK, what the host game/prize was, who was opening guest rooms and over all friendly chatter, there has not been alot of that going on here lately...so, yea maybe I am not passionate enough about VMK to be a member of the Dis any longer because this is deffinatly NOT what I want to spend my days doing.

My last post was sticking up for VMK-Shorty,this post is to back Belle and say she is in no way greedy,i am the grandmother of one of the kids she helps,this help includes dream ears ,quest items,magic pins,room codes,and building the whole room at her cost ,with rare items he would not get other wise,this lady is in noway greedy,just a little deflated with the disney magic.

Can I just ask that we tone it down a notch. A couple of posts are starting to tread to that line where we dont want to go.

You have to admit both sides of the issue have made great some great points.

Many people are tired of the negativity.

Having said that, you can opt out of reading it, skip it, and definitely don't have to reply to it.

If we all agreed all the time there would not be much to discuss.

There are other fan sites on the 'net that have a tendency to delete or edit posts that they think would cause conflict. Wouldn't that be a boring place to visit? I'm not saying conflict is good, but differing opinions can be. I love my Dis-dysfunctional family here - and I never read past the trades on those other sites. What family is there that agrees on everything?

VMK is a branch of the Disney Company. Do you see that word there? Company.

The purpose of a company is to please its customers so that they provide revenue. The original post states this "law" of business. If the company stops providing, the customers stop coming. It's as simple of that. This game is part of a business. Just because it's a game doesn't mean that its workers should be any more lax. It's actually just the contrary: their jobs depend totally on our happiness (And I think that we are all pretty happy, no? ). Your first post ("They gave us free stuff, but why would we want to dine at a restaurant with bad service?") is self-defeating.

Anyone who has read my posts knows that I am not a habitual complainer. They will also see that I was against a lot of the entitlement issues posted in the Hula thread, too.

That being said, I found the tone of this post to be the equivalent of ripping the scab off a wound. I think most of us were just starting to get over our frustration about a completely valid complaint.

I can't help but feel a bit insulted that I'm a greedy entitlement complainer because I felt VMK needed accountability in the case of the contest.

I think it wouldn't have been such a big deal if you just left things alone. Ruffled feelings do die down. There's no need to pour salt in the wound.

Oh please. My disappointment in VMK's handling of the competition prizes is far from greed. I took it upon myself to break the "good news" of those awesome "participation prizes" to some of the players on my friends list that participated. Some of these friends are younger players who were so excited at the news. I know a few of those friends are very let down by VMK's definiton of "participation". That was not Disney magic as I know it.

As this is a discussion board, discussion of VMK problems is allowed, provided there is no slamming of a particular host/player/staff.

My conscience is clean. I thought the tone of her post was rude and offensive, so being insulted by that makes me rude and offensive, too? I don't buy into that. I still feel she owes an apology for the way the tone of her post appeared. Sure, there are a lot of complainers in here. I don't dispute that.
