What are the movies represented in The Great Movie Ride? I remember: Casablanca, Alien, and the Wizard of Oz. We're taking a 12 year old for the first time I thought it would be fun to watch some of the movies that he's never seen. I've only been on the ride once, and I can't remember any of the others.

Busby Berkeley...... from what.... the 30's??

Footlight Parade (the scene with the ladies all in a tower) or any Busby Berkeley movie...42nd Street. Then there are any number of movies that are shown in the end movie. Good Morning Vietnam comes to mind but that might be too adult for a 12 year old.

This is always a must ride a few time at DHS. I have been on this ride multiple times, here is what I remember off the top of my head.

Alien (ick - I dont like that snotty alien)

Took us a while but we tracked down Footlight Parade and it's a great movie - especially if you're into the old musicals. Love Singin' in the Rain. Can't beat that. Still have to finish Public Enemy. James Cagney is great.

I love old musicals! I'm headed to the library to see what they have then I'll order some of what they don't have. Unfortunately, the only Footlight Parade on TCM cost $59. But if anyone is interested in the future, they have a collection of 4 Berkley movies coming out in Nov. for $19.99. Too bad it's after our trip. My kids, now grown, had Fantasia, but we have nothing but an empty case. I'm bummed. I'll have to hunt a copy of that one too.
