Yes, there are unfortunate and heartbreaking cases of babies being considered foreign matter. I'm so sorry to hear about your co-worker. I mean that and hope it didn't come off sarcastically.
But this usually isn't the case. And that's what they can't figure out. How it IS possible for women to carry babies. Check it out, if you don't believe me...but you can trust me. I wouldn't make this crap up.
