The Gospel of unbelief

I don't know which education you had, but the baby's and the mother's 'systems' are more or less completely separated. Nevertheless it happens that a baby may be ttacked by the mother's immunesystem. A coworker of mine lost two kids in the early stage of pregnancy due to this. She just gave birth to a healthy son after spending most of her third pregnancy in hospital being treated with agents depressing her immunesystem - manmade agents of course.
I'm a nurse. Doesn't make me any kind of medical expert, but I do know some stuff.

Yes, there are unfortunate and heartbreaking cases of babies being considered foreign matter. I'm so sorry to hear about your co-worker. I mean that and hope it didn't come off sarcastically.

But this usually isn't the case. And that's what they can't figure out. How it IS possible for women to carry babies. Check it out, if you don't believe me...but you can trust me. I wouldn't make this crap up.

To the OP: I am sorry I took your thread off topic somewhere along the line. Sometimes it just happens with these discussions on these boards.

I figured he had your support. No matter that everything you have said about rude posters here fits that poster to a t.

OK, I'm calling it a day now as I have to work tomorrow. Talking about working tomorrow: I guess I have to thank chrisitianity for getting double pay as we have a christian holiday over here ;)
I enjoyed that thread and will check it again tomorrow.
Take care, Folks :wave2:

You will never produce any fact that proves God doesn't exist. I'll bet you on it, if you want.

You can't prove a negative ,and frankly, since we are the ones claiming a God, the onus is on us to prove he exists

You offended everyone believing in UFOs by calling it 'crap', so I guess by that you forfeited the right to ASK anyone to lay off your beliefs.
Please don't draw from this the conclusion that I'm a UFO-believer -although I think that this is much more probably than a god.
I call lots of stuff crap. I doubt that "everyone" was offended. Heck, I don't even think Sylvester would be offended by that.

I would never consider your post as sarcastic as I always try to read in the lines only, not between the lines.
Losing the first two babies hit her hard, but having a healthy one now made up for it. She seems to be very happy.
G'nite :wave2:

OK,
very last one: What If I'd call Catholocism crap? Try to think about that one!!! You were offended by much tamer words :rolleyes1

Speaking of walking on water... what about this from the article
Newspapers also carried a story about a Florida State University scientist who speculated that Jesus didn't really walk on water; he walked on ice. The scientist theorized there must have been an unusual cold snap 2,000 years ago that froze the Sea of Galilee. This begs the question how Jesus was able to pull off such a stunt when Peter also walked on water, before his lack of faith sank him.

Why would anyone spend the time to investigate something like that... it's a faith thing -- either believe or don't believe -- why try to prove the un-provable.

I was wondering the same thing about Peter.

Whatever, Mike, whatever. I can't win with you and it is clear to me that you don't respect me and that's fine. See you around.

That's rich coming from one of the unfunniest countries. If you were French, well then...

Quick, name a German comedian that's well known.

John, this is an intervention. Put down the crack pipe.

UFOs are not a religion!!!! You have never, and will never hear me call anyone's religion "crap."

And I wouldn't term myself "offended," because I wasn't personally offended. It is more that the offensive comment stung. And I was guessing you didn't know that. I'm assuming here that you aren't trying to do that.

Have a good night, or whatever you're having Germany.

As a typical American you most probably speak one language only so it's no wonder that you don't understand our humour :teeth:
But I have to admit that since you made that joker your president, no country get's near the US comedywise, so I bow to your superiority :lmao:

Viking, this is an intervention. Put down Charade's crack pipe.

You come in an go on about the rude posts but then apologize to the OP whose actual first post to start the thread was one of those sarcastic jabs you were complaining about. I don't see where I went wrong with that one. I do however see a serious issue with your post about what's going wrong here given the next post apologizing to the OP.

You have my respect. I don't respond to the ones that don't.

 John, if he'd insulted America like that, you'd throw a hissy fit and you know it. :teeth: Yet you have no problem insulting an entire country, just because you happen to have a problem with one poster?

Insult? Where? It's a fact. The fact is, Germans are generally not very funny. Now if I made fun of them for the way they look at Octoberfest, in their lederhosen, then you'd have a point. But that would be no different than Viking's comment about the Pope's circus like attire.

You're just jealous, because as a typical American you most probably would fit into lederhosen only if we'd skin an elephant for you :teeth:

If you want to continue talking in stereotypes, just go on ;)

BTW, that picture does not show original lederhosen - just a bad copy and the guy wears the wrong shoes and the wrong socks.
And finally: Lederhosen are not worn in Germany, but only in the state of Bavaria. Your uneducated statement is like saying 'all American wear ten gallon hats'

This may come as a bad surprise for you: EPCOT's World Showcase is not the real thing :teeth:

FYI, Germany is 6 hours (and several hundred years ;) ) ahead of Eastern standard time.

Sorry,
but there are several religions based on UFO-cults - especially in the USA.

Mouseworshipin-

Like the Sudoku puzzle that show up everyday in my morning newspaper, you provide a wonderful mental exercise in finding the contradictions in statements you have posted just on this thread alone.

I've picked out a couple for starters. Here's what you said in #22

And you've never seen me slamming other religions or making fun of people for their beliefs.

But you do just that in post #74
Tom Cruise is just a weird person, regardless of his religion. I know nothing about Scientology, I'm not even sure it is a religion. When I saw the clip of him jumping up and down on a couch on national TV I knew he was a wacko.

The next one is a double bonus. In #171, you made a factual misstatement and followed it up with the basis for another contradiction in the same post. Let's take this one slowly....

UFOs are not a religion!!!! You have never, and will never hear me call anyone's religion "crap."

Actually, UFO's are the ultimate deity to many religions in the world, a belief that is held as fervently by those religions as your interpretation of a god is to you and your particular religion. Here's a few websites that will help you understand how misstaken you are on this particular subject (assuming that your desire to learn is genuine);

http://www.answers.com/topic/ufo-religion

http://www.pandora.com.tr/urun.asp?id=106306

http://www.cultnews.com/archives/000527.html

http://religiousmovements.lib.virginia.edu/nrms/ufos.html

So now that we have established that UFO worshipping is not only a religion, but in fact the basis for many religions, your contradiction is made in post #130;

And I go exactly the other way on this. If you're right about all this (minus the UFO crap), then what it shows is a consistent history of belief that something, or someone, is responsible for the miracles of life and nature all around us.

Hmmm...seems like you did in fact just slam someone else's religion by calling it "crap". That would also contradict post #22 as well.

We won't even touch your obvious contradiction about making fun of the pope, since other posters have correctly pointed that out. But these are just from this thread alone. It would be amusing to cross reference your other threads and see where else on the boards you've posted statements that are flat out contradictory to one another like you have here so far on this thread.

I wore my dad's lederhosen for halloween one year - they're as heavy as an elephant.
