Thank you!! YES! I will do a trip report. You will see my family had a WONDERFUL vacation. Filled with LOT'S of people but LOT'S of good times too!

Finally, after a year of planning, reading, research, Disney videos, our day has finally arrived! Monday, January 30th 2012

Today we all started our day like normal. We all went to school and work. The boys had no idea that we would be leaving work early to get them and heading straight to the airport!

We picked them up at school and told them that we would stay the night at the big fancy hotel at the airport and they couldnt have been more excited about starting our vacation a day early!!

We arrived and checked into the Hilton at the airport.... it is such a beautiful hotel. We had a great room facing the boston skyline and the airport and could watch the planes taking off !!

We decided to walk over to the airport and grab dinner. We ended up at Jerry Remys! It was really good. The waiter was awesome and played tricks with the kids and brought them ice creams. Wayne and I both enjoyed our meals and our huge 20 ounce beers!

We took LOT'S of pictures of food on this trip, so if you are not hungry yet, by the end of this report you will be STARVING!

After dinner we walked back to our room and got into those WICKED COMFY beds!!!!! It was all down filled pillows, and a feather bed, with a down filled comforter and triple sheets. OH it was so comfy!!

We tried to watch a movie but they were $20.00 We decided to just watch a trivia show and go to bed early. I wondered if I would be able to fall asleep because the last time we stayed there before our Disney trip I was too excited, but I surprised myself and passed out! (Maybe it was the 20 ounce beer) Next time I looked at the clock it was 7:00a.m and it was TIME TO GO TO DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We woke up so excited to get to Disney!!! After packing up, we put on our jackets for the last time and bundled up and headed over to the Jet Blue Terminal!

The boys were SO excited!!!!

We arrived at the airport and went through security in minutes! No line!! We decided to have starbucks for breakfast and I finally tried the blonde roast - It didn't taste different to me- but it was still good!!

We got to the gate and had some time to waste so we gave the boys their airport bags. We had bought them each an underwater camera, some coloring sets, snacks, and Disney stickers.

We still had some time, so we started being goofy...

not me.... I was freaking out!!! I couldn't believe I was getting on a plane!

The plane ride wasn't bad at all! We watched Puss and Boots and before we knew it we were landing in Orlando!!

And onto Magical Express! It was probably around 1:00p.m.

And Wayne and I sneaked in a magical kiss

We made stops at Polynesian, Grand Floridian and then finally we were HOME!

WOW! This place is so BEAUTIFUL! We were greeted and escorted to the check in desk- No wait! We were checked in and in our room and changed into our bathing suits all before 2:00p.m.

We were hungry and grabbed a sandwich to share from Roaring Forks and then headed to the pool where we finally met in with our best friends who had already checked in!

We had some drinks at the pool, went in the Jacuzzi and the kids wentdown the waterslide about 100 times! They were having a blast!!!! It was SO BEAUTIFUL... hot and sunny and it was so relaxing.

Around 5:00 we finally dragged ourselves back to the room to shower and change. We ended up calling a taxi to pick us up around 6:00 to take us to the Poly. We wanted to see the Tiki Torch Ceremony and check in for our 7:00 reservation early to request a table near the window. But right when we got there we had to pick up some of these....

So this was our best friends FIRST Disney experience and we were so excited to show them some of our favorite things. Dinner at Ohana is one of our favorite things and I was so excited this night was finally here!

We saw the show and then headed to the beach with the kids and strolled around the grounds. It was such a beautiful night.

We went up to the table around 6:45 and our table was ready- right near the window! The table we get EVERY time we go there. So magical!

At 8:00 they dimmed the lights and the music piped in and we got to see Wishes! What a night!!!

We headed out after dinner and took the monorail to the Contemporary Resort, and then the boat to the Wilderness Lodge (our new home)

Once we got back to the resort, we walked out onto the beach and the Electric Water Pageant was about to start..... Magic!

After the water pageant, we headed back to our room with full bellies, and great memories made. This day would be tough to top on this trip. We were all so happy! As we got into our room and got the kiddos to bed, we looked out our glass sliding door and noticed that straight ahead outside our window was the castle, changing colors and looking so beautiful!

Up next: Day 3 and our friends first day in the Magic Kingdom!

Thanks Kathy! Ohana is really fun. It is loud in there, but so fun for the kids and the food has always been very good.

Day 3 - Wednesday, February 1st, 2012

Today we woke up around 6:30 and got ready for the Magic Kingdom!! We had an ADR at the Crystal Palace at 8:05AM!! We had debated the best way to get over there because the MK boat wasnt running that early, and we decided to take the Boat to the CR and then walk to the MK. Wayne went down and got us all coffee and the kids hot cocoa in our Mickey mugs and we were off!

The sun was just coming up....

We got to the MK around 7:45 and waited in a line for 5 minutes or so and before you knew it we were walking down Main Street!

The weather was PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After taking a bunch of pictures on an almost empty Main Street, we headed over to The Crystal Palace for Breakfast with Pooh and the Gang! The Breakfast Pizza and Pooh's Stuffed French Toast were both big hits!!

We ended up only seeing Tigger and Piglet and we did the parade with Eyeore and then we were done and anxious to get out into the park!

We headed straight for Tomorrowland and a nice CM came over to the kids and asked them, "hey does anyone here like the Buzz Lightyear Ride?" They all all screamed yes! He then said, "How would you like to be the first family to come into the park and be the only people on a ride right now!?" We all yelled, "YES!!!" So, he took us over to Buzz, and we all rode our first ride of the day- alone! IT WAS AWESOME!!! What a way for our friends to experience their first ride in Disney! I was sooooo excited I didnt even take a picture!!!!

After Buzz, the rest of the park was open and we had to share the park with others... but we were so surprised that the park wasn't more crowded because the weather was so perfect. Sunny, high 70's and just beautiful bright blue skies. (We are from New England and our skies have been mostly gray for the last couple of months so this felt so good!!)

We went on Astro Orbiter, People Mover, Space Mountain.... We breezed right thru Tomorrow Land and were moving onto FantasyLand.... Wayne's Brother Jeff had just arrived and would be meeting us at Peter Pan!

First we had to get a snack though! Ice Cream at 10:00 AM?! This could only be Disney!!

Hi Uncle Jeff!!

In Fantasy Land we went on Winnie the Pooh (LOVE the interactive line!!) Peter Pan, Tea Cups, Small World, Philharmagic, Carousal, WOW! It was only 11:30!! No lines. Just an amazing day. We were having a blast!!!!!

Moving right along....
We went over to Haunted Mansion, and then to Pirates of the Caribbean. (this was a favorite ride of the day!) then got some lunch at Pecos. After lunch we went over to Splash Mountain (I did not go on this ) but the kids all did and I am happy to report that this year they all LOVED it!!!

We stopped at the castle for a few minutes to catch a little of the show... Just love it. This day was so perfect!!

After Splash we decided to head back to the hotel but we needed to do one more ride! The boys decided to do the race cars. I rode with Owen and watching his little face was awesome. I laughed so hard!! He was just cracking up the entire ride- he was like, "hey you - get out of my way!" We met a family from New York that teased us in line and we got the whole big line cheering for the Pats! Because of our shirts we had been either boo'd or cheered the entire day! It was great because we talked to so many people that we wouldn't have if we were not all in our Patriots Jerseys!

After the cars, we decided to head out. The Parade was just starting and we watched it as we cruised down Main Street to our boat.

After our peaceful boat ride back to The Wilderness Lodge, we decided to put on our suits and hit the pool for a couple of hours. We brought down a bottle of wine and some snacks for the kids and spent the next hour swimming and sitting in the jacuzzi and talking with our friends, watching the boys swim. It was SO nice!!

The boys wrote in their journals as we got ready for our night back at the Magic Kingdom....


What an amazing day we had! It really was the MOST fun I have had in the Magic Kingdom. I don't know if it was because we were all so happy, because the weather was perfect, because the kids were getting along so well, or because there were no lines... all I know is that THIS felt like a very magical day that you dream about in Disney. THIS is why I keep coming back here. We laughed so much, and had so much fun with our kids... THIS is our Disney!!!

It was so funny when I texted youa nd you were like "you have the wrong number girl!" I am sorry we didnt meet up! At that point we probably breezed right by you because we were running to catch the boat!! I cant wait to hear all the details of your amazing trip and I cant wait to see your pics!!

Where did I leave off?? Oh yeah, we were relaxing back at the Wilderness Lodge! We hopped back on the boat and were heading back to the Magic Kingdom.

We had dinner reservations at 6:30p.m. at Liberty Tree Tavern. We had told our friends how the MK doesnt have any adult beverages and they were like, huh!? So for the first time ever in my disney history we smuggled some wine in to have with our dinner. (in our Mickey Cups!) I felt pretty guilty but I am sure many people do it!

Our waiter was the WORST! Didn't refill our drinks (our soda, not the Mickey cups!!) and basically dropped the food off and never saw him again. Had to keep asking other people passing by for anything we needed. It was annoying... I am pretty sure because we were a party of 8- his tip was already on there and that is why he totally ignored us. It is too bad too because the food was awesome! But when you have bad service, it just kind of ruins the meal and I am not sure if I will return there. I think I have decided not to eat dinner anymore in the Magic Kingdom... Unless the new Beauty and The Beast place gets great reviews. I have never had dinner in the castle either... maybe for our 10th year anniversary that will have to be a must do.... for breakfast!

(See the Mickey Cups!? and empty Soda's?? It is a good thing we brought our own drinks! Hee!!)

We had time for one ride before the fireworks and we all decided we wanted to ride the Jungle Cruise at night! IT WAS SO FUN!!! We had glow necklaces and the tour guide wanted some, so we ended up passing them out to everyone on our boat. It was really fun!

We walked off the Jungle Cruise and headed over to Main Street- got a spot directly in front of the castle and Wishes started!

I got a little teary eyed watching it and hearing my little guy sing along. We really had such a wonderful day!!

After Wishes we headed back to the boat... the kids all sat in the dark on the floor of the boat. Wayne said he couldn't even see the kids but took a picture and Owen's face is hysterical..... he must have been loving sitting on the floor of the boat in the dark!

Our friends were pooped so they decided to go back to the room and get some rest but my family was like, "heck no, this is our last night in Disney!!" We got on our bathing suits and hit the jacuzzi.

We watched the Geyser go off, and the EWP and then went back to the rooms and all crashed! The beds were VERY comfortable!!!
