The Good, The Bad, The Ugly: Our BC / Poly Split Stay Review.

I really don't understand why people change resorts based on somebody elses good or bad experience. For every good review you will you will find a bad one. Bed comfort is purely suggestive. Loud guests are everywhere. You really should try a resort and make up your own mind. I am trying Bc next week. There is nothing about this resort that I like based on the pictures, but I am willing to give it a try to make up my own mind. If I changed my mind everytime I read a review I would be changing everyday.

Thanks Padawans....:goodvibes Which is exactly why I refuse to change my ressie a hundred times this trip...I am sticking with the POLY to make an informed decision myself. My last trip I waivered from AKL CL (my tried/true fave) to BWI CL, POLY CL, BC CL and back again. We ended up at BC CL, and found out it is not the resort for us....another family may find differently, and obviously do, as there are lots of BC lovers on the DIS :lovestruc
I will try the POLY and make my own judgement based on my experience...if it is not a right fit, at least I know one resort at Disney has fit consistently, and I will be back home at AKL :lovestruc.....I am willing to give POLY a try and am actually looking forward to it and experiencing it for myself :goodvibes

I totally agree with you. Besides the behavior of the patrons in the lounge, the children running up and down the hallways screaming in the Hawaii building, and the very poor service we had there will keep me away from Poly CL. I would still book a GV or TPV room there, but won't do CL there again!
If there was one negative I would say about Club Level at the Boardwalk Inn it would be this. Last month I remember between 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM the lounge got very busy and we had to wait for a table. Now we eventually got to sit down on the couch that faced the TV in the lounge, however as I sat down there were some little kids there and I told them can you please move since my family and I would be sitting there. Now they weren't eating anything and we were going to, so they shouldn't have taken up the couch and the table. Anyway they decide to sit on the floor watching it and we had to tell them to move when we got up to put some dirty plates away. I was thinking to myself one of their parents should take them back to their room to watch TV or tell them to not sit on the floor so we could have space when getting up. However much like a lot of parents they don't care what their kids were doing or were not paying attention.

I appreciated reading your thorough reviews of both CL stays. It's refreshing to read some honest, less-than-glowing and positive reports of food and guest behavior at the Poly as well as BC with the details supporting your opinions.

After 10+ stays including 2 CL I have come to the conclusion that every stay is different for each person and CL is definitely NOT worth the $$$ charged by Disney.

Glad you enjoyed your trip with your parents!

I go away for a day and miss all these replies! :scared1:

You have me looking forward to our BC stay! Thank you for such a informative review.

I am curious, did you or your parents do online checkin? Did you have any requests on your reservation? Trying to decide to request a preference or not.

Forgot to reply to this...

Neither my parents or us did online check-in. The request we had made on our BC ressie was for a full balcony; no requests were made on my parents ressie. My parents were only staying 3 nights and were given an upgrade before checking in. We were staying 6 nights and only got the upgrade because I had asked about where my parents' room was located when we were checking in and our check-in cast member was most bodaciously awesome. We just lucked out, really. Hope this helps.

Shoot! :headache:

I forgot...

Glad you're back Miss and thanks for the review! :goodvibes

Soooooo glad to be back! Thank ya, thank ya.

Couldn't have said this better myself. You've really got to try out a place to know for certain -- everyone's likes and dislikes are different. We were a bit unsure how we would like BC when I had booked and now, after staying, we prefer being in the Epcot resort area. It's all subjective -- you can have different guests staying at the same resort at the same time and you'll probably get wildly different reviews of their experiences.
