Family went to WDW from April 5 through April 11...
We have never been this time of year so its hard to compare with other trips.
We arrived Sat April 5 early in the morning and went to breakfast at Ohana.. then to Downtown Disney. We were supposed to get a text or call when our room was ready from POR but never received one..
We didn't get our room until 10pm at night.. not that we would have gotten back from DtD earlier, we had dinner reservations at House of Blues.. pretty good food.
We went to MK on Sunday 4/6 and again on Thur 4/10. We were there at RD both times and were able to get onto Space Mtn a few times before the big crowds arrived. We used FP+ for the big 3 roller coasters and had no issues. We ate Tony's for dinner.. it was just ok.. nothing special. Probably wont eat there again...
We were able to ride everything at MK but we only accomplished that because we were there 2 days. We would not have been able to ride everything in 1 day.. well, we might have been able to pull it off on Sunday because they had extra magic hours at night (until 1am) but we went back to hotel around 5pm to relax a couple hours and returned at 8pm staying until around mid night.
HS on Monday was fairly busy... we arrived at RD and got on RnR coaster and ToT easily. We used our FP+ on TStory, ToT and Indiana Jones... We did not get to Lights MA.. and we did not stay late for Fantasmic. Otherwise we rode everything we wanted to.
Epcot on Tuesday and it rained most of the day but we got there at RD and rode Test Track (twice) and Soarin before the crowds and rain arrived. We used our FP+ on TT and Soarin, can't remember the 3rd.. Despite the rain, we rode everything and had a good day. We had a late breakfast at Akershus.. one of our favorites..
AK on Wed.. arrived at RD, got on Safari and Exp. Everest before the crowd arrived. We used FP+ on Safari, Exp Everest and Kali Rapids.. We rode everything, some twice because of RD and overall had a good day. We had a late breakfast at Tusker House, another favorite.
Thur we were back at MK.. there at RD... rode Space Mtn before crowds arrived. FP+ was used for SM, SM and Peter Pan (opened today). We spent half the day riding rides we didn't ride on Sun... very busy day! WE had dinner at Crystal Palace.... not as good as I remember, but not too bad.
Fri we were back at Epcot. Arrived before RD, my wife got us into Norway breakfast (Akershus) so that my daughter could get in to see Anna and Elsa. We used FP+ on TT, Mission to Space, and Soarin... We left early on Friday (4pm) because we had to catch a plane at 830pm.
We had no big issues with FP+.. it worked every time we tried it. There were some LONG lines in the FP line which was different for us but I equated that to the time of year vs anything new with FP+. I think adding 1 more FP per day would probably make most of the FP+ complaints go away.
The busses were a bit of a pain this time. I can't remember ever complaining about them in the past but this trip was different. On 2 different occasions we had to wait longer than usual for a BUS and on 1 occasions I actually saw 5 Animal Kingdom busses arrive at our POR bus stop before 1 MK arrived. That was aggravating..
Overall it was a good trip. We did not ride as many times as we usually do but that could be related to the crowds vs the FP+ issue. We rode everything we wanted to but maybe not as many times as we are used to.
On another note, I purchased a pair of Skechers Men's Go Walk 2-Maine Walking Shoes, before this trip and they were fantastic... it was like walking with a socks on my feet.. socks with good soles. My feet still hurt at the end of every day but nothing compared to other trips. Plus I could easily slip these off when we were sitting down a for a show.. LOVED 'EM!!!
