The good, the bad and the downright delicious - 17 days of food in pictures

Wonderful and 'delicious' photographs !

Great reviews so far. Anyone who uses the word 'whilst' online is aces with me... :thumbsup2

I find the breakfast offering pretty average at both the Beach Club and Yacht Club. Last time I did the Yacht Club breakfast because I didn't care to pay for the same buffet just to get some characters. ;)

They had blintzes on the Yacht Club's buffet. Sure, they looked like they came straight out of the package you find in the freezer section of your grocery store, but they were so good. :)

A quick trip to ESPN for lunch now :) We popped in while having a stroll around the Boardwalk. It was close to opening time so we were seated straight away.

We had some Nachos to share as a starter

Then I had a burger

Lois the Pulled Pork

and Callie the kids chicken nuggets

The food was good - it was quite quick, hot and there was plenty of it :eat: Service was good as well with plenty of refills without even having to ask

For breakfast at BC I always get a yogurt parfait- oh, it's soooo good, and I LOVE having some chocolate chips for breakfast!

Your pictures are fantastic!!! Great reviews!!

Ok I'm taking a break now to go eat. Keep it coming. I'll be back...

I am with you there on the chocolate!

I think we need to break out the Emergency Chocolate while waiting for the next installment!

Tusker House is next on the list for the lunch buffet :

This is a very popular choice in AK and we waited fifteen minutes past our ADR time to be seated. Once were seated service was good - our server explained the buffet and was good good at clearing and refills.

A couple of quick (but very good) lunches next.

First up is Plaza Gardens - we popped in after the Michael Phelps parade. They had only just opened so we were able to get a walk in with literally a minutes wait. As we were leaving 40 minutes later though people were being turned away without ADR's.

The kids got a 3 course kids meal and chose

Tomato soup

Grilled cheese

Paula had the cheese steak sandwich

and I had the chicken breast sandwich with ham and swiss

We also tried a couple of desserts

the apple pie

and the brownie sundae

It was all really good - the food was delicious and it was served promptly but without feeling too rushed. Service was excellent as well and with our DDE discount it wasn't much more expensive than counter service :eat:

Plaza Gardens- looks like a good deal!! I'll have to remember to try it- I'm ashamed to say I've never even noticed it before!!:guilty: Thanks for all the pics- great to read and see!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks for the photo of the chicken sandwich at Plaza Gardens.:thumbsup2

Wow - I am not sure reading this is good for me - it is making me wish that I was there right now and I still have a week to go until our next trip!!! I am having hard time breaking away to actually get work done at work!

Fantastic pictures!

I haven't been to Tusker House since they went to table service, but it's good to know that the food I used to order as counter service is on the buffet. I like the selection. It sort of reminds me of Boma. Sort of "Boma Lite". :thumbsup2

I was looking at this Plaza Restaurant sandwich and thought to myself that other places would go for the fancier name of "Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich" and probably charge 50% more for it.

Mmmmm the cheese steak at the Plaza is one of my favorites! Thanks for posting the picture! Now I'm back in my happy place :cloud9:

2 of my fave places, Plaza and ESPN!
I can't wait to have those yummy nachos and that great soup from Plaza in a couple of short weeks! :)
