Well I did not end up baking today. I went to medpoint instead. On thursday I thought i got bit by a bug or got into something I should of becasue I ended up with this little bumps on my arm. No biggie right. Well this kept getting bigger and today the spot burned something fierce. So I decided to get it check out. They told me I had a staph infection in the area that probley started out as a spider bite. Can you believe that it only took 4 days to turn into something awful. I just wanted to cry its been a long weekend with dh being sick and now this ohhhhhhhhhh boy. Watcha gonna do. On a postive note I got in the green house party. I am glad to hear the pizza were a hit and it seems like more of us made it into this houseparty. I am always willing to share my goodies. So I will let everyone know what I get.

Good morning all! We had our usual busy weekend-Friday night soccer game, Saturday work and then a birthday party for DH's nephews, Sunday we went to my folks for DH to do his carpentry thing again. At least he is almost done. I will be so glad, even though they pay him and we need the money. It just seems we never have time to do the stuff we like to do like go hiking, picnics or to the zoo(or even to just hang around the house) when I work every Saturday and then we go over there every Sunday. Yesterday the kids and I did get to go on a decent hike in the woods while DH worked and he got a huge bonus from my dad. DH mentioned to Dad a few weeks ago that he didn't have a good shotgun for turkey hunting so my dad went out and bought him a new one. So I'm hoping for some fresh wild turkey this fall. Yumm....

This week is going to be crazy busy as well. We have a couple soccer games and I really have to get the house clean and in order before we leave for vacation on Sunday. And, of course, I have to work Wednesday and Thursday nights and so the end of the week will be a wash-out on getting anything done.

My DD went with me and she is like a watchful hawk making sure I take my meds and that I am keeping the area clean and dry. Its cute in a annoying way.

At least we know someone is taking care of you and keeping you on your toes. Staph infections aren't something to take lightly. There was a young girl(around 13, I think) in a neighboring town that was injured during a soccer game and ended up dying from a staph infection just a couple of weeks ago.

 

[It's A Happy Day]

Uneventful Monday around here although I was swamped a little at work because I had taken Friday off. Not a big deal though....at least I was able to look busy

Now I'm home waiting for the kiddos to get off the bus & I just called and signed up DD7 for 7 weeks of art classes. That should be a nice change of pace for her and it will be a lot of hands on teaching as the teacher only takes on 10 students and she only has 3 so far including DD. DD needs some sort of activity to do and she so does not want to do a sport so when we started naming other things to try this was her #1 pick. So we have jockboy & artsy alice here They may look like twins but they are sooooo different! I just hope she enjoys it.

My daughter always had a lot of fun in art classes versus sports! To each their own! Variety is the spice of life in my opinion...I was definately more artsy/fartsy, and I still am.

Pizza on the grill...

It was actually so much fun, my kids have already told me they want to do it on their birthdays next year! Fun for the whole family!

WOW!!! What a weekend you guys have all had...pizza's , spider bites , toilet paper in the mail , sight coming back , twins starting school house parties getting accepted and not , I hopefully everyone else had a good weekend too!

We (DH, DD6, DS7, & I) spent the weekend in the White Mountains (NH). We have taught our children to really appreciate the beauty of nature so we heard quite a few "mom/dad look at _____, thats beautiful, etc., plus they had a ton of fun at the hotel we stayed at and we took them to Storyland. We stayed at a hotel that had a 40,000sq ft water park attached so it was super fun!

in the picture they do look like twins. I think this is the first time I thought that.
So how was Story Land? I have not been there in so long. My DB and DSIL bring the kids every year. I should go with them this year
