First time when we dropped of our DD at kids club she seemed fine so we went ahead to our Paolo brunch. Just when we were being taken to our table my phone rang and I told my party to go ahead without me and I will take care of my kid instead, writing of that fancy brunch :'( On my way out the lady at the reception asked me why I was leaving and told her that the kids club called (or send me a txd?) as my kid wanted to leave. So she called the kidsclub for me and told them about me having brunch and hung up. She then told me that it is quite common and if kids want to leave CM will immediately contact the parents. But if the parents have any particular plans on the boat the CMs will add extra effort to keep the kid comfortable entertained so the adults don't have to abandon their plans and that it always works out fine. I rejoined my group and we may have kept an eye on the phone for a little while longer but quickly forgot about the incident due to the amazing food
Afterwards when we picked her up my DD was in a princess dress and barely wanted to leave and no problem since. I agree a testrun on their own is the way to go.
