By the way, I don't know if you noticed or not, but our family Christmas is going to be at AKL-CL. I am definitely spoiled now. We booked at rack rate this weekend and Kristin is going to try to book the bounceback offer when she arrives on Thursday. I never know if CL will be available for that or not!

I'm hooked on CL too! Unfortunately without being a DVC owner at AKL it's nearly impossible for me to book it with points. I guess that just means I need to buy into AKL!

Seems to be the best way, unless you want to pay cash for rooms!

I got April's rooms on both a General Public discount and an AP discount. So I have hopes that if Kristin is not successful we may be able to get those at a later date.

Last year the discounts only went through 12/24 and we had to pay rack rate for the last two nights. I am OK with that. And AAA discounts won't apply during Holiday Season which starts on 12/17. So... keep thinking those good thoughts. I am also hoping she can book two rooms with the BB!

Great to match up faces to names of ladies in my neighborhood! I don't work at Heritage (but I do know Peggy, the owner. Really sweet lady!). I work at the financial firm with the red doors. In fact, my boss' son, wife & 2 little daughters are at WDW right now. They are staying at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge - long story short I had "won" a Disney cruise which I gave to them to go on instead of me back in December 2009. However, they couldn't go so we chose to send them to see WDW instead. In ended up that I was scammed but I didn't tell them until 2 days before they left (I ended up paying for their trip along with the help of fellow Diser's). They didn't want to go after they heard my dilemma but I rounded up airfare, park tickets and rented points for their room at VWL along with some gift cards to spend. I can't wait til they return to find out all about their trip - first trip plus celebrating birthdays for the girls.

I would love to stay at AKL sometime. We are thinking about adding 2 nights at the end of our stay (11/28-12/3/10) and hope to maybe rent points for those two nights somewhere. I had to give up 2 of our studios that I rented points for because my car needed major work but we are hanging onto our 2-bedroom w/boardwalk view and will need at least one more studio to accommodate 9 of us. Everyone hates to come back on Friday (12/3/10) but we will see.

Loved that you got to see lots of animals from your room! You all three look lovely and look like a lot of fun to take trips with!

Of course you should buy into AKV! I just told DH we are going to go to the DVC Member tour at BLT. We DO NOT need another add-on. But they are giving away cool stuff.

Ann and her DH bought their DSs a few years ago to play Brain Age! She has moved onto other puzzle games too. She converted me. I came home and bought one for myself. I now have Solitaire, Bejeweled Twist, Scrabble, Jewel Miner and Pass the Pigs to play when I have a free minute!
